My doctor wants me to switch to a natural shampoo, one without any scent, dye, etc. I'm having a problem w/ getting some acne in my hairline. She thinks it could be from the shampoo & conditioner that I use. I'll take any suggestions as to what to use. Thanks in advance.

What type of hair do you have?
There are two that I know of. One is for curly or wavy hair and one has products for any kind of hair. Jessicurl is a product line for curly/wavy hair and Raw Curls Organic has products for any type of hair. Both have to be ordered online although Jessicurl products can be ordered through Amazon. Here are the websites: jessicurl.com and rawhairorganics.com I'm using the Raw Curls line myself these days but I also use one product from Jessicurls that I also like. I think they are both very good.
Before using either one you'll have to do what is known as a finishing wash to get rid of the silicones in your hair so that the "good products" can penetrate your hair shaft. Silicones coat the hair shaft and until you do this these great products can't get into your hair shaft and they can't work. It's easy to do. You just wash your hair with Johnson's Baby Shampoo and then use a Deep Conditioner for 30 minutes. I really like Jessicurl's Deep Treatment conditoner. I put my hair in a clear plastic processing cap and just let it sit for 30 minutes and then I rinse it out. The next time I have to wash my hair I start using the better products.

Missed your part about no scent. Jessicurl products to come unscented. Raw Curls do have a scent.

I recently started using derma-e moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I switch in the scalp relief shampoo when my scalp feels like it could use a bit of extra TLC. Nice shampoos and use generally good ingredients, can get on Amazon.

I'm surprised she didn't recommend something like T-Sal. It's got 3% salicylic acid, and saliclyic acid is often a topical acne treatment. It is also fragrance free (as in, no added fragrance) and no added color or preservatives.
