So so so sad. We had a person enter a large church here in Colorado Springs and killed 2 and hurt several others. A security guard shot him and they said that that person prevented a whole lot more from being killed as he was heavily armed. After that, my mom's church had several of their member acquire conceals including the minister. Sad that is what the world is becoming. I know a lot of people oppose teacher having conceals, but it seems so risky not to with so many trigger happy people out there today.

According to the reports I've read, this is a very small community--about 400-600 people. The church only had about 50 members, and the pastor was out of town. I can't believe how things can change for so many people in just an instant. Praying for all of those affected by this tragedy.

More blood on our leaders’ hands. Which leaders'? Do you mean gun control legislation? Without any more info, it's hard to say what could have been prevented. Was he convicted of a felony and allowed to purchase a gun because the system wasn't updated like the South Carolina church shooting? Was it a hate crime and the shooter was emboldened by a presidency that praised white supremacists for being good people? Was this a case of domestic violence? Was it a former parishioner with a grudge? Was it someone like the Vegas shooter? Was this a person with no criminal history?

More blood on our leaders’ hands. No. One shooter did this, not our leaders. Don't turn this into something political please. It's sad enough already. Save

SaveFFS Our leaders didn’t pull the trigger but absolutely enabled this and other similar tragedies. What is sad is that this disgusting violence continues unchecked with nothing but shrugs, thoughts and prayers. If the same kind of numbers of people were routinely killed by anything other than guns in this country, you damn well know SOMETHING would have been done by now. But the fetishization of guns by a segment of our population and leaders means that NOTHING EVER CHANGES. IT’S DISGUSTING.
