The first time I used the Instapot for baked potatoes, they came out perfectly! The last two times.....I end up with rocks! They are just as hard after 20 minutes as when I put them in. I add the water, then the potatoes on the steamer rack, manual, high pressure, 20 minutes, vent on sealing. I end up with hot rocks. What am I doing wrong?

Disclaimer: I don't have an instant pot.
Are you supposed to pierce the potatoes with a fork before putting them in the pot? I do that when I bake them in the oven.

Made them tonight. One cup of water and 12 minutes. Maybe you cooked them to long. I made 6 potatoes.

I don't like 'baking' potatoes in the IP. They come out more like steamed potatoes. I prefer my ninja 3 in 1 for baked potatoes.

Yeah, my InstantPot potatoes were a fail too, after several attempts. I never could get them soft enough. I went back to the old fashioned oven method.

I really don't think you can bake a potato in the pot. You steam them.
