So, earlier this week or last week on Becky's instagram stories she was showing the new door. It says "No solicitations" on the door. She referenced that <paraphrased> "...we like you, we just don't like having solicitations come to our office".
The definition of solicitation is: the act of asking for or trying to obtain something from someone.
So isn't creating a "gift" with the hope of a partnership, a solicitation? It seems hypocritical.

she is talking about a collaboration with them again. LOL!! she never "collaborated" with them in the first place; she just went all stalkerish and took their photos to make a photo book they didn't ask for. 6. Becky says she just made the book to say thank you to C&J for being such good-hearted Christian people. Talk about being tone-deaf in today's world. Can't wait to see her make next: a photo book for good-hearted Muslim people, a photo book for good-hearted Jewish people, a photo books for good-hearted Buddhist people, a photo book for good-hearted atheist people, etc. Should be fun.  yeah, right. HAHAHA!! HAHAHHAA by "again" I meant talking about it again, not collaborating again!! They've made it pretty clear that they don't want anything to do with her. SaveSave |

I am giggling my derrière off. Becky made them a regular photo book with flatlay option (which Blurb carries now as well if anyone wants to get the effect for not a lot of money). She goes on about how she made the book using the PL app. And then there is literally NOT A SINGLE PL FILLER CARD in there besides a wood veneer print. Nothing, nada, zilch. It's just basic photo layouts which you can get for free with any photo book software online book companies offer with a few journaling cards. She, of course, picked the most minimalist journaling cards she could find in her offer. Nothing about it said Project Life. What it did say: 1. Becky doesn't think her PL card designs are classy enough for a book project for someone important. Really, there's just some journaling here and there. 2. Becky's PL app is about... erm... photo book page templates? 3. Becky's desperate to sell them... erm...? A link to her app? I don't even know. 4. Becky really needs new friends she can hire to work for her because nobody thought it was creepy af she was collecting that many photos from C&J online to make a book about their staged perfect-looking life? 5. Becky really needs new friends she can hire to work for her because she needs someone to tell them that a brand like Magnolia certainly has a similar book and portfolio laying around somewhere. They don't get pro photo shoots done to let the pictures rot away on Google Image Search. I'm not sure if she understands this just showed how ignorant she is about the type (and size) of business she's trying to get in bed with. Oh my. 6. I think they're really having some real revenue issues -- trying too hard, looking desperate. And the non-stop proselytizing is likely NOT helping. Her comment counts on her IG posts are very low considering she has 81K subscribers. Often <10 comments. Shimelle only has 15K subscribers and she averages >15 comments - and that's not because she replies to everyone that comments like some people do, to up their comment count. |

So, I sent Becky a quick DM on Instagram asking about the copyright issues with her using other peoples images and that I found her dong this to be icky. She replied back that she was fine on the copyright issue because she wasn't selling the book. OK...technically yes, but you are trying to use the book to get Jo & Chip to collaborate with you & make you a monetary gain. So imho, still icky. Her reply was that I just wasn't understanding. LOL No, Beggy. I understand completely. And its stalker-ish and not professional.

All I can think is, what if the shoe was on the other foot? How many people has she called a stalker for doing things like this to HER? Totally shameless and annoying. A couple of years ago she addressed this very issue which is why we hardly see pictures of crew Claire and porter. She didn't want people knowing her kids biz. So yeah, she's a hypocrite all right. |

I found some really cute vintage pillowcases in a thrift store and had them in my guest room. One of our friends came to visit and she was blown away because they were some that her now deceased grandmother had had in her home. I put new pillowcases on, washed those, and sent them home with her. |

(There's a good chance they might be on the guest bed if/when we go to visit them this summer, lol!) And yeah- Jo does NOT need Becky's help with 'memory keeping' or with anything else. I wonder what she thought about the photo book Becky sent, actually?!? (I might have thought 'crazy stalker' and 'restraining order' if someone had sent a book made with my very own photos to ME.) |

And re: the copyright thing mom mentioned - that might be most people's view of how copyright works, but it's not necessarily the legal reality. I'm no copyright lawyer but I'm pretty sure the photographers who made those pictures Beggy stole would argue that she has no right to use them for any purpose at all. As a creator I would think she'd be more considerate. If I'm not stealing her PL card designs to sell and profit from but just for my own albums is that OK? |
