This is just too odd for words. I think I attached the screenshot from Facebook (this is so much easier on Tapatalk). Anyway, BH has been stalking Joanna Gaines trying to partner on some product. If memory serves, she sent a letter and was turned down (found on IG, see link below). But she's not giving up. The photo album idea is too close to stalking in my opinion. If Becky wants to partner with Magnolia she must have some new products coming out since I don’t think they deal in frumpy house dresses.

Yeah if there's any way to turn off a potential partner, it's bitching on a public forum about said partner already turning her down. And tagging her. I think she thinks (if there's any sort of reasoning to be found) if she posts about and all her sheeple post how excited they would be for this product that Joanna Gaines people will see this and rethink their decision. She's definitely not helping her cause. It's like asking someone on a date and they say no and you keep asking again anyways...yeah I've gotten restraining orders for the exact same behavior. And then he tells his friends you said no and his friends all come to you and say "please give my friend a chance!" And you're even more creeped out. Yeah becky, you look very desperate here. Move on. |

I've said it before, I really want to like Becky, but I'm starting to think the people around her tell her "yes" all the time and never give her honest feedback. The vibe they want is that they are all friends and work is a "party" so maybe giving really honest feedback isn't what her people are allowed to do.

I'm all for her taking a second try, but DO NOT post it on social media. I think the Gaines are trying to spend more time with family and their business is doing really well with what they already have going. I can see not adding anything else to their plate. Becky should maybe look into doing more with rustic designs instead of trying to attach herself to someone who is not interested. Joanna doesn't own rustic.

Yuck. I came to the conclusion over the years that I didn't care much for Becky and her style, but still respected what she had accomplished in the past, especially Creating Keepsakes. Reading that IG post pretty makes me lose all respect for her. I agree, she needs someone that will be honest with her on her business plans.
Magnolia is already starting to feel very mainstream. Any product Becky would bring would not help that in the least, IMO.

Becky seems to be floundering over where to expand her business as it looks like the PL has maxed out its growth (or possibly is on a decline). The gift wrap is a good match for her IMHO, but the Becky dress introduced was another really odd product. I just don't see what she has to offer Joanna in terms of product or audience/customers. |

Because her entire business is built around project life, and now there's about a hundred other companies offering better cards than her, I'm sure she's just trying to get into other more profitable markets. this is very awkward and unprofessional...it's making me feel uncomfortable just reading it all. becky's strength, in my opinion, has always been in organizing, and teaching her organizational principles. she has never been a creative influence for me, although i'm sure she has for others. it definitely feels like she's floundering.
