From Sean Spicer......
“.@msnbc host and @meetthepress frequent guest @joyannreid apologies after getting caught mocking @charliecrist - silence from @meetthepress @nbcnews on-air talent”
Prompted this reply from Matthew Miller....
“I don’t know if I count as NBC on-air talent, but until you apologize for even one of the lies you told from the WH podium, you should pipe down about people who actually have the courage to acknowledge their mistakes.”
Man has a point Spicie.

"Pro-life" but shrug at mass shootings. "Anti-elites" but give tax cuts to the 1%. "Rule of law" but support child molesters. "Support troops" but attack Gold Star moms. "Christian values" but strip healthcare from the poor and sick.”
That sounds about right.

He's entitled to his opinion and I am mine. We respect the fact that we are on opposite ends and always have been. It disturbs me that dh isn't clued in to how dangerous Trump is, but I am not going to be the one to tell him. The truth will come out in the end. It always does. ... I value my relationship with my parents and dh too much to let some crazy, deranged, narcissistic, delusional idiot come between us. A very bit of sensible advice- we are the same way... my boyfriend is a Trump supporter, and I am obviously NOT. And it is TOUGH to keep quiet.

Felony Friday or Mueller Monday cocktails sound great! I listen to the progressive radio station and to MSNBC on my Sirius satellite radio during my commute, and I subscribe to Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, and The Daily Show on youtube- laughing helps me stay sane-- along with reading and posting here.

The only leader that could say something like trump and his lawyer are saying is a authoritarian dictator. Good luck with that notion. Sessions argued presidents can obstruct justice in Clinton impeachment trailBY OLIVIA BEAVERS - 12/04/17 07:07 PM ESTAttorney General Jeff Sessions argued in 1999 as an Alabama senator that then-President Clinton could be removed from office for obstructing justice amid an investigation into his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The Justice Department head's argument during the Clinton impeachment trial more than two decades ago contradicts the claim of President Trump's personal lawyer that the president cannot legally obstruct justice. “The chief law officer of the land, whose oath of office calls on him to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, crossed the line and failed to defend the law, and, in fact, attacked the law and the rights of a fellow citizen,” Sessions said during Clinton’s trial in the Senate, according to his remarks archived in the congressional record. “Under our Constitution, equal justice requires that he forfeit his office,” the Alabama senator continued. Politico first reported Sessions's impassioned case on Monday. The "president cannot obstruct justice because he is the chief law enforcement officer under [the Constitution's Article II] and has every right to express his view of any case," Trump attorney John Dowd told Axios. Dowd also claimed that he mistakenly crafted a tweet sent from the president's twitter account over the weekend that appeared to suggest the president knew in January that Michael Flynn, his former national security adviser, had lied to the FBI as well as Vice President Pence. Last week, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about his conversations with a top Kremlin official. Politico also noted that 17 current senators also supported the obstruction of justice charge against Clinton, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) as well as Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.), who served in the House at that time.thehill.com/homenews/administration/363223-sessions-argued-presidents-can-obstruct-justice-in-clintonSessions and 17 current senators, YES!! Moore accuser shares scrapbook with new evidence of relationship BY AVERY ANAPOL - 12/04/17 05:18 PM EST A woman who said she dated GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore when she was 17 and he was 34 has presented new evidence of their relationship, according to The Washington Post. Debbie Gibson, now 54, was one of the first women to accuse Moore in an explosive piece in The Washington Post in which four women said Moore pursued them as teenagers, including one who said Moore touched her sexually when she was 14 and he was 32. The newspaper reported that while Gibson was retrieving Christmas decorations from her attic, she came across a high school scrapbook that contained a graduation card from Moore. “Happy graduation Debbie,” the card reads. “I wanted to give you this card myself. I know that you’ll be a success in anything you do. Roy.” The card is similar to evidence presented by another accuser, Beverly Young Nelson, who accused Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 16. Nelson presented a signature from Moore in her high school yearbook as evidence. Gibson told The Washington Post that she remembered receiving the card and writing below it that Moore “seriously believes” in her. thehill.com/homenews/senate/363198-moore-accuser-shares-scrapbook-with-new-evidence-of-their-relationshipAnother victim................ Questionable if assault? I don't remember what she had said before.... But it seems there was contact with the card etc. RNC is now supporting him as is dt............. McConnell......... how quickly they fold! What chance do we have going against them?

Jake Tapper.... “I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people that are investing,” Grassley said, “as opposed to those that are just spending every darn penny they have, whether it’s on booze or women or movies.” Working kind of hard there Grassley trying justify this particular tax cut. Ah Paul Waldman has the best response I think... “So for the record, if you have less than $5.5 million in assets when you die, the GOP thinks your life was a contemptible waste.” F'ing Grassley. Cuz the wealthy never by booze, drugs or hookers w/their billions.

Trump above the lawA snippet: Donald Trump’s legal defense team have responded to the Russia scandal in recent months by arguing, repeatedly and in public, that the president and his campaign didn’t collude with Putin’s government during last year’s attack, and that the president didn’t obstruct justice as the investigation has unfolded.
The new line from Trump World is that collusion isn’t a big deal and the president is literally incapable of obstructing justice. Now they are trying to spin, spin, spin. I hope this is because there are tapes with DT on them. I feel like we are inching closer every day!

Today may be the day Trump fires Mueller. What would you be prepared to do? Protest? "It has long been conventional wisdom that the “Saturday Night Massacre” — the October 1973 episode in which President Richard M. Nixon tore apart his Justice Department to fire Watergate special prosecutor Archibald Cox — badly backfired against Nixon. Not only did the move produce blowback from the public and on Capitol Hill, but it effectively required the White House to accept the appointment of another special prosecutor, whose investigation, along with parallel efforts in Congress, eventually provoked Nixon’s resignation just ahead of impeachment charges less than 10 months later. There’s little question that, legally, Trump has the authority — at least indirectly — to do just that. Although the special counsel can only be removed for cause by the attorney general (here, Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, because Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recused himself), the same doesn’t follow for either Sessions or Rosenstein, both of whom serve at the pleasure of the president. Ditto for the third in line at the Justice Department — Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand. Trump can request that any of those three fire Mueller, and he can fire each of them for refusing to do so in favor of someone who will: The Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 would allow Trump to name an acting attorney general from among a much broader class of candidates, including anyone currently holding an executive branch position that requires Senate confirmation (such as EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt), or even senior Justice Department civil servants who have served for more than 90 days. It’s not difficult to believe that there is at least one such officer who would agree to do the president’s bidding and shut down the investigation." www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2017/10/31/if-trump-plans-to-fire-mueller-the-time-to-do-it-is-right-now/
