It was the expectation he would lose the election that was behind Trump's refusal to release his tax returns, it is claimed.
"Shortly after 8 p.m. on Election Night, when the unexpected trend — Trump might actually win — seemed confirmed, Don Jr. told a friend that his father, or DJT, as he calls him, looked as if he had seen a ghost," the book read.
"Melania was in tears — and not of joy."


Afraid of being poisoned

The book claims Trump maintains a separate bedroom from First Lady Melania, the first president to do so since John F Kennedy.
The self-described germophobe Trump reportedly instructed that housekeepers were not allowed to touch anything, especially not his toothbrush.
"He had a longtime fear of being poisoned, one reason why he liked to eat at McDonald’s — nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely premade," the book said.
"Also, he would let housekeeping know when he wanted his sheets done, and he would strip his own bed."



The Australian Trump loves

The book details Trump's reverence for Rupert Murdoch, describing the president-elect's anxiety to impress the media mogul the Saturday after the election.
Trump would reportedly brag that Murdoch was "always calling him".
Murdoch, on the other hand, complained that "he couldn't get Trump off the phone".


Trump hated his inauguration

The president was unhappy on what should have been one of the greatest moments of his life, his inauguration.
"He was angry that A-level stars had snubbed the event, disgruntled with the accommodations at Blair House, and visibly arguing with his wife, who seemed on the verge of tears," the book reads.
"Throughout the day, he wore what some around him had taken to calling his golf face: angry and pissed off, shoulders hunched, arms swinging, brow furled, lips pursed."
The tension is apparent in a video that went viral in the days after the inauguration.
Melania is seen smiling at her husband, but the minute his back is turned, her grin turns into a sorrowful frown.


The Bannon feud

Former White House advisor Steve Bannon gave a scathing interview to Wolff about a June 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr, Jared Kushner and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort with Kremlin-linked operatives.
"The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor – with no lawyers," Bannon said.
"Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad s---, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.
"The chance that Don Jr did not walk these jurnos up to his father’s office on the twenty-sixth floor is zero."
Bannon's comment insinuates that Trump himself was complicit in his campaign's alleged collusion with Russia.

Trump responded by issuing a statement tearing into his former top aide.
"Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency," he said.
"When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind."

I'm not sure I believe this. Trump LOVES and revels in being the center of attention. He loves glory and loves taking credit for things others have accomplished. He would NOT admit defeat easily, or admit he failed, so why run to lose? Trump ran to win and only to belittle Obama. When Obama roasted him, Trump's fragile little boy ego went ballistic. The only way to get back at Obama was to erase his legacy...and that is what Trump is doing. In his walnut sized brain, he is getting his revenge on Obama but ruining the country while doing so. He doesn't care one whit about America..he is bound and determined to get back at Obama.

Now, I TRULY believe that he knew he wouldn't win without help, so he got in bed with the Russians to ensure a win and had Hillary's emails hacked and released. He HAD to win to save face. He can't handle failing. You know, the sociopath and all.
