Anyone else find his television performance disturbing. He was as orange as a Wotsit with white rings around his eyes. Obviously just leapt off the sunbed. The effect was like a panda in reverse. His speech was slurred, his message incoherent and I had the impression that he had a sweet or chewing gum in his mouth. Not the performance of an international statesman.

I try to keep an open mind because I realize that there is a lot I don’t know and often there are good reasons for decisions that I initially think are ridiculous.
But the cynic in me can’t help but think he did this because he knew there would be a backlash and then he could say ‘see, those Muslims are a threat that need to be dealt with.’

Maes me want to smack him! 😖 Exactly! with one breath he acknowledges Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the next breath he says “We are not taking a position of any final status issues, including the specific boundaries of the Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem, or the resolution of contested borders. Those questions are up to the parties involved,” Does the idiot not realize that without sorting out the boundaries between Israel and Palestine that is the reason that the rest of the world classes Jerusalem as neutral. They can't sort Jerusalem without sorting the boundaries out and they can't sort the boundaries out without sorting Jerusalem out. The man thrives on divisiveness and unrest....how sick is that! |

I fail to see how it "makes America great again" to insert ourselves further into other countries business.
Further, it seems to me that the financial cost is unnecessary. I would also think it would put whoever is building the new embassy and our embassy employees at great risk when this is completed.
Even if this doesn't further ignite Muslim extremist groups, there is nothing about this that is America's interests, imo.

Trump, and apparently his followers, lack the ability to see the entirety of a situation. They latch onto an idea and go with it without looking at the big picture. Why wasn't this done before? What are the potential consequences from all sides? What is the purpose? And so on.

That was back when the US was respected as a loyal ally who would generally do the right thing on various issues. The US is now the laughingstock because of this man. Our loyalty is in question and there are many who will definitely reconsider making 'deals' with us, as he has shown that a deal is made to be broken, whenever it is convenient for him. We are no longer a country that will keep its word, so why bother pursuing a treaty or economic agreement so long as he is in charge? The 'leader of the free world' would be someone who tells the truth and can be trusted to do the honorable thing. He has handed over that title, likely to either Merkel or Macron. |

There is no leader of the free world not in the sense that the phrase was originally used and there hasn't been for years
.It's puzzling why people continued to use the term “leader of the free world” after the Cold War, when the notion of a “free world” had fallen out of fashion. After all, how can you lead something that doesn’t exist? The fall of of communism, and the wave of democratization in Eastern Europe and elsewhere, meant there was effectively no unfree world against which to unite.

That was my point ,Europe sees him as a loose cannon they don’t respect him and don’t see him as a leader And China and Russia just manipulate him . I say that for long time but he is not well and I don’t understand what Pence ,McConnell and Ryan are waiting. If they invoke the 25th amendment they will stay in power ,they will probably loose some power anyhow next November. |
