When does your school district start Christmas holidays this year? Our kids are in classes until Friday, the 22nd, which seems really late to me! We don’t have to go back until the second week in January, though, so that part is nice!

We go through Friday and go back on the 2nd. It's a very short break for us!

we break on Thursday and return on 9 Jan - works for me - I would rather have more of the break after Christmas to be honest

Half day Thursday (no school Friday) then go back on the 3rd, so 8.5 (week)days off.

University offices are open through the 20th and reopen on the 2nd. Classes ended on the 16th and take back up on the 8th. It is a shorter break than we normally have. In the past we didn't go back until the 6 or 7th.

Last day is Thursday the 21st and go back on Jan. 3rd. Our breaks during the school year aren't as long, but school is always out before Memorial Day.

We go through Friday and go back on the 2nd. It's a very short break for us! This is our district too. Spring break is short too. When I was a kid it seemed like we had more days off before Christmas even if Christmas was over a weekend. I want to say we had at least two full weeks off back then. My kid does get a lot more days off one or two at a time intermittently throughout the year pretty much every month of the school year and we never had that. |

I work thru 12/21 and return 1/8. My DD went thru 12/15 and will be back 1/3 to make up for 2 days her district was closed for the strike. She should have been off until 1/8.
Last year, I worked 12/23! That was cutting it close!

Out as of Friday (the 15th), back the 2nd. We have more days off before Christmas than after... I wish it was the reverse since I have four kids at home all week anxious for Christmas to get here!

I think our local districts end this Wednesday and go back the Wednesday or Thursday after New year's.
Ds finished his last exam on the 13th and the first day of the new semester is the day after MLK day.

Over here Christmas is our big summer break, and the kids start the new school year in the next grade when they go back at the end of January. My son finished school on Wednesday 6th December and goes back at the end of January. Public schools finish later, and this year the primary schools finish on Friday 22nd, which is very late!

We're out already and go back on the 2nd. DD (college) was done with finals on Friday, the 15th, and starts classes again on the 3rd. My work follows the school schedule too, so only DH has to leave the house this week.  |

My sister lives 3 minutes from me and her kids go to school through the 22nd.

This past Friday, the 16th, was the last day and they don’t go back until January 2nd.
I would have preferred Wednesday the 20th through Wednesday January 3rd.

We get 3 weeks as does dh's and most surrounding districts.
Monday starts winter break. Kids and dh go back the 8th of January.
We also get one whole week for Thanksgiving and 2 for Spring Break.

DD11 gets Friday the 22nd, following week and back on Weds 1/3. Other districts are getting two full weeks the week of Christmas and New Years/

They go all this week, then go back Jan. 2nd. That's what the break usually would be, but it all depends on when the holidays are. If Christmas Eve was on a Tues., they would have Monday off. They have had as long as 2 weeks off , and as short as a week off. We have to travel to my inlaws (4 hrs). and to my parents (2 hrs. from my inlaws) so my poor daughter will not have much time to relax at home. Her sisters are in college, so they will have a longer break.
