Already done! The only one lacking thinking skills is you. You don’t think that others see through your bullcrap. You can say the words “I don’t support trump” but your posts (plural) scream otherwise—ESPECIALLY his rhetoric. In other words, you got nothing. How about you stop quoting me? It's obvious you and I will never be friends, lol. We wouldn't agree on the time of day. You don't like me. The feeling's mutual. So, stop engaging with me. Stop quoting me which is basically asking for an exchange between us. But also stop with the lies and accusations about me. You stay in your corner and I'll stay in mine. Sound good? Deal? You do what you want, but I’ll continue to call out your bullshit any time I choose thankyouverymuch. You are the one making shit up and trying to attribute it to others, so keep doing it, I’ll keep calling you out on it.

The crazy thing to me is that SO MANY of the Republicans were very leery of Russia - definitely not willing to take their word on anything. "Trust, but verify" was the quote used by Saint Ronald Reagan when referring to the USSR (it was a Russian proverb that he adopted). Now, we have a guy who trusts the Russians and Putin implicitly - so much to the point that he's unwilling to do even the smallest investigation into Russian interference in our democratic process. Or, more likely, he's worried about what will be revealed if the investigation goes on. The Russians are involved around the world, looking out for their own interests. It's no different from the US. We have spies (or at least we HAD) spies all over the place. We've tried to influence the outcome of elections in other countries as well. But we're going to assume that the Russians aren't doing the same thing to us? The Russian government may not be calling itself by the same names, but the KGB is still out there. They haven't stopped. They never will. Russia gonna Russia, and only stupid people don't accept this. You won't find any Russia experts who think that they aren't meddling. You won't find any Russia experts who think that they aren't hacking. In fact, there's really only ONE person who seems to believe this, and he has no expertise in Russia, or in computer warfare, or in the democratic process. So his opinion shouldn't be taken seriously, other than the fact that he fell upward into a position of power. I feel like this should be an automatic bot, but here it goes again: Only a fool believe that Russia isn't trying to outmaneuver us. And there are a lot of fools in the US these days. Please keep posting - your thoughts, based on knowledge, are well expressed, informative, and thought-provoking. (Now if we could get the others to stop derailing this thread and others, with accusations, name-calling, attempts at righteousness in calling out others, overuse of the term gaslighting, etc. It doesn't help either person or either side in the discussion.)

And Russian sanctions still haven't been implemented!
"Deadlines ahead
Their next deadline is January 29, 2018 when the administration should have come out with the businesses and enterprises from various countries that have continued to do business with those Russian entities and which will face sanctions as a result. The administration is still on schedule, but it's taking a while, and critics are watching closely.
What do critics say about the delay?
On the Hill, Democrats say they're concerned that implementation is taking so long that the Russian entities could have time to create new subsidiaries that fly under the sanctions radar. Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland, the senior Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, said Thursday that they'll be watching the administration's "implementation of the Russian sanction law that requires reports as early as next month, and we will be watching very closely to make sure they comply with the laws that we have passed.""
F' the motherf'ers. Trump gives every appearance of being Putin's puppet. Steele knew. FGPS knew. Congress knows. And here we sit. I guess the Constitution doesn't work in a country where you can buy off 2 branches of government. A few billion for benefits totalling 100's of billions!!! SCORE!! Nice try, founders. But you didn't see this coming.

It doesn't take a Russia expert to see what Russia has done with hacking and propaganda in Ukraine - they even managed to shut off their power grid briefly. They've basically used Ukraine as a training ground.

In other words, we are willing participants in their plan to derail a thread they don’t like. We certainly aren’t going to stop these guys by engaging with them, in fact all we are doing is empowering them which gives them the incentive to keep doing this. I know it’s hard to ignore these guys, this one said a couple of things I wanted to respond to and had to sit on my hands. In fact I typed up a couple of pithy responses but deleted them. While I do understand you can respond to whoever you choose but by doing so what have you accomplished? What have any of us accomplished by engaging with these few disrupters? Not much that I can see. Just something to ponder.

The best bet (imo) to do is IGNORE the sh(#-stirrers and keep posting about the topic at hand.
Like Russian bots on social media, sh#($-stirrers' jobs are to create dissension and prevent people from talking about real topics w/real data, real insights, etc.

(and lots of other people) I really think that Russia may already be trying to shut off power to our grid.

I can not understand the willing blindness to Trump's kowtowing to Russia and his admiration of Putin. It's baffling! As for the other, Michelle Obama said it best..."When they go low, we go high." We need to come together to find a solution/a common ground. We are so busy infighting that we can't see the division is being fed by those who want to separate us.

Although I like the sentiment, it didn't work. I don't have faith that the Republicans will put country before party. Right now the Democrats have no power. I think that nothing short of millions of people protesting in the streets will wake the Republicans up. I'm not sure that the Russians don't already have "Kompromat" on lots more Politicians on both sides. I think we are in for a big fight to save our democracy, our way of life and our planet. Just look at some of the things that Trump has already done.
