I see the advantages of the Stamparatus especially for making rows and also that you can buy additional doors for layering.
I am getting rid of the two positioners that have given me problems near the bumpers and keeping my Tim Holtz along with the Precision Press. I do a lot of layering.

It looks interesting. I can see the appeal. However, since my Tim Holtz stamp positioner seems to work just fine for me, I really can't justify buying another one right now. If I did buy another stamp positioner, it would be the one that lets you lift the top plate and move it down one section at a time, to make rows in an even pattern. I want that one because it does something the others don't. I think it was Stampin' Up's version. Is it more available now, or still special order at certain times? It's in the current catalog. I really like mine so far. Thanks, Gale. I have to admit, though, that the WRMK version is tempting, too.

I just bought the Precision Press Advanced at Michael's with a 40% off JoAnn's coupon. The regular price was $29.99. Thanks for the reviews. I'll let you know how it works for me when I try it.

Michaels ran a sale and has these Advanced presses in stock. A friend of mine grabbed one in WA with a 40% off coupon and picked up three extra plates for me on sale also. I think the deals on these will just keep coming. I am completely sold on mine. I never thought I would say I like anything better than my travel platform but this this is the one for me. I think I will be careful cleaning this one and just use a baby wipe instead of alcohol. There is printing on the mat so I use a grid paper just to save making a mess. Actually using up all my old Misti paper pads. If you are a leftie no hinge means being able to work with the rulers right side up. The Misti lawsuit has been dismissed. In looking it up I got the idea that the judge dismissed it. I do know that without prejudice means it can’t be brought up again. I’m copying the info I saw but I have no legal understanding about what this all means. I’m into my fourth week of vacation in the middle of nowhere so I have time on my hands to look up silly stuff. order SO ORDERED ~Util - Terminate Civil Case Tue 11:56 AM SO ORDERED - re (54 in 1:17-cv-00364-GMS) Stipulation of Dismissal With Prejudice filed by My Sweet Petunia, Inc. Signed by Judge Gregory M. Sleet on 7/3/2018. ***Civil Case Terminated*** Associated Cases: 1:17-cv-00364-GMS, 1:17-cv-01183-GMS(mdb) So, it's over!??! Wow. Where did you find the info? ETA: found this: www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/21056464/My_Sweet_Petunia,_Inc_v_Tonic_Studios_USA_Inc Looks like petunia dismissed it. Wonder if she got paid off or just tired of waiting? ETA: found this: litigation.maxval-ip.com/Litigation/DetailView?CaseID=aL90nQ5yLmw%3D&logstat=false&Party=My%20Sweet%20Petunia,%20Inc.%20v.%20Tonic%20Studios%20USA,%20Inc. Looks like there was a report to the court and then she dismissed.

I like the idea of the SU one and being able to move the lid etc but I have several stamp presses and can't really justify another one!

I found the wrmk one at michaels today and used a 50% off coupon for it. I might be selling my tonic one.

I opened up the precision press and it isn't all that precise. When the plate is on the pegs it can still shift ever so slightly. Maybe it's better without the pad.

I tried it both with and without the foam mat, and it worked perfectly both ways for me.

I use a WRMK Precision Plate that I got with a 50% off coupon at my LSS. For $17 it does exactly what I need it to. I do wonder (with not a small amount of schadenfreude) how much is cost Bitter Petunia for this lawsuit that ended up going nowhere in the end. It definitely didn't get her name out into the scrapping community in a positive way.

If it's laying all the way down on the pegs, the plate doesn't move at all? Not even a tiny bit?

Maybe I'm being too picky. Here's a video showing how much it moves. I don't have to force it to move-it moves pretty easily. youtu.be/7_tMF86NcpI

I’m not seeing movement on mine. I have two of the WRMK and three spare plates. None of them have any wiggle room at the base with or without the pad. I’m getting perfect images when I stamp a second time. Mine wiggles when it’s up just like yours but not when I press on it. I couldn’t tell from the video if you were wiggling it while it was pressed down. The pegs get wider. Are you getting inaccurate images when you stamp a second time?

Yes. I'm getting double lines or thickened lines when I restamp. With stamps with thicker outlines, it's not too bad but it does definitely thicken the line some. With more detailed stamps I get the double lines. I sent wrmk the link to the video. If they don't want to do anything I'll just return it (or try to) the next time I'm near a Michaels.
eta: the wiggle happens when it's down-I wasn't pressing on the top but it's resting as far down as it can. It's the same with or without the pad.

I haven't heard back yet but I'll wait a few more days and call. The email address was to american crafts. There is no contact information on the wrmk site that I could find, and no option to send a message through facebook.

They said there's nothing wrong with it. WTF. I'll just return it to M's but that's a fricken hour away. I have never returned anything there-is it pretty easy? Obviously the pkg is opened-I had to open it to try the thing.

I think it states on the receipt when you can return by, maybe 90 days.

I wonder if I could put washi tape around some of the pegs to make it a little tighter. I won't be able to go to M's for a couple of weeks, at least, so I might try it in the meantime.

This is the email they sent me. So maybe it's a bad batch or some bad batches. Shouldn't product development already assume people want their precision stamp positioner to be precise? Thank you for your email. We have double checked with the stock that we have in the office and with the design team, it looks like the press that you have is normal. We will definitely pass on the feedback to our product development team that the customers are looking for a tighter fit. We are very sorry for any frustration this has caused.

Can you post your video and complaint on their Facebook page Good idea-I'll try that and pose it as a question to see if others have that much movement.

OK it gets worse. I just noticed that on both of my WRMK stamp platforms and the three extra lids I purchased each one has a crack that goes all the way through next to each hole. I have had the first one two weeks and the plates and the second positioner for two weeks. I am so sorry if I steered anyone wrong here. I'll go back and edit past posts. This looks like the Misti bad plastic all over again scenario. I'll be contacting them tomorrow. Really bad. Mine may be precise but I don't think cracks everywhere are a good thing.
Gale where did you find a source for customer service? The one I contacted was not a working email address.

Patricia is the one I reached also through your first email address. So far they are only offering goodies and calling them scratches. The cracks go all the way through. I’ve sent them pictures and am asking for new lids or a refund. Gale I’ll let you know if I find a person that is offering a better response. They should at least refund you or send you a new one.
