Ugh! My WRMK Advanced Press is also cracking where the holes are. The extra lids, which are still in the packaging, have cracks too! I hope they're going to make good on them. Please keep us posted. I don't need freebies. I need lids that don't crack. Thanks for the updates.
ETA: I just emailed them using the address posted above. I'll let you know if I receive a response.

Patricia is the one I reached also through your first email address. So far they are only offering goodies and calling them scratches. The cracks go all the way through. I’ve sent them pictures and am asking for new lids or a refund. Gale I’ll let you know if I find a person that is offering a better response. They should at least refund you or send you a new one. I returned mine yesterday. I hope they'll do something better than random freebies for you. I always liked wrmk but I wonder if they're making too many new things and cutting corners on quality.

I would think they would have thought about their manufacturing process given the Misti plastic fail and the ensuing racket about that. They have had a lot of months to troubleshoot since it was demoed at Creativation. I will push it up the chain since so far this customer rep doesn’t seem to be getting the implications of a total of nine failed lids from different big box stores. Seems like sending me lid replacements would make more sense than sending me goodies and calling cracks scratches. My issue is that I bought these out of state and online from two different stores. My friend in WA and I combined the lid order which makes it even more complicated.
I’m glad you were able to return yours. That probably is the best outcome if they are not going to address defects. Tonic did a much better job of resolving complaints about their platforms.

Definitely going to steer clear of the not so precision press after reading about all these issues. Not good at all!

Looks like this is a big problem. I didn't get a return email today after requesting yesterday that my lids be replaced, nor did my friend who also bought these. I don't see how they are going to pretend that these are scratches and the offer of mystery goodies is not a solution. I've never dealt with them before but so far this is nothing like the way Tonic handled their customer issues when they had a a few bad ones.

Tonic is an awesome company and they will replace anything you have problems with. I never hesitate to buy from them.

I checked mine and I can see what looks like fine lines near some of the holes. They can't be felt on either side, though. Is that what happened with the Misti? Does it eventually break? Or is is just between the layers? I hate that this is happening! This is my favorite positioner!

Or is is just between the layers? I hate that this is happening! This is my favorite positioner! I guess time will tell. Yeah it’s my favorite too. I had a cracked Misti and used it for several years even though the cracks got pretty big and I had a replacement. I finally gave it away and it’s still working. My cracks go all all the way through and some reach the edge. It seems to happen spontaneously as two of my three spare lids are still in their clear packaging and I can see the cracks. I am using the positioner every day and so far it’s working and not getting g worse. Every hole has a crack all the way through though. I have asked for replacements but no answer yet.

Okay, for even more weirdness, what I see on mine are random, appear to be near the holes, but I can't feel them on top or bottom. The plates are smooth. Whatever it is has to be in the middle. Stranger yet, when I stack my plates on top of each other with the WRMK logo in the same corner on each plate, the scratches or cracks line up perfectly! Both my plates have the exact same scratches or cracks in the exact same spots, all the way around. What the heck?

That is so weird at least to my non engineer brain. The rep told me that they were scratches from removing them from the mold. I just lined my lids up and that is exactly right. They all line up the same. Unfortunately all my lined up scratches are also cracks. I can feel them with my fingernail on both sides and I can see them when I tilt it and some go all the way to the edge. I don't know if they started out as scratches first or not. It's hard to take pictures of it to send in. I can't get a clear picture of the edge showing the cracks all the way through although I can see it with my eyes.

Riley, that is strange! I have double checked mine, and they definitely aren't cracked, but I'll be keeping an eye on them. I also won't be buying any more plates until they work out the issue.

Nothing from customer service. Tomorrow I'll look for another contact address. Offering me goodies and then going silent when I asked for replacement lids instead is not acceptable.
They are on sale all over the place now. I would definitely look through the clear packaging before I bought one. It's pretty obvious once you know what to look for. I just thought they were scratches when I unboxed it and apparently some people do have scratches instead of cracks. Too bad because it stamps great and is reasonably priced.

I haven't gotten a response either. I'm going to post on their Facebook page. ETA: I just posted on their FB page. What lame responses they give to complaints - and there are a lot of complaints! Things like "That has never happened before," and "Oh, no! It sounds like you have a defective one. Contact Customer Service, and they'll help you" (really?), and "Did you check your Spam folder?" (seriously?). I'm boycotting them until they address the issues with all their defective products.

Here’s their stance. Looks like they will wait until they become unusable and the warranty has expired. Despite pictures they are denying cracks. I think she is saying that all the plates they have are screwed up so why bother. So their deal is if the dealer delivers your new car with a cracked windshield he can just say all the cars have this flaw so I don’t have to replace it.
Good afternoon, As I previously mentioned the plates that we have in inventory have the similar scars. So any replacement that we could provide at this time would be the same as what you currently own. We have alerted our quality control department to be extra vigilant on any future productions of this item to avoid any physical or cosmetic damages. Now we have not yet had a case where the plates have cracked to a point where they cannot be used but if for some reason yours do please let us know

I got the same BS reply, offering me "goodies" and an assurance that they will be using a different machine to remove the plates from the molds. Apparently that's when they're getting "scratched." Umm, no, mine are cracked, not scratched. I only got a response when I posted on their FB page, though. I won't be buying any WRMK products until they get their act together.

Yep I’m sending one more picture of my cracks hopefully to someone else in CS and then I’m posting the pictures on FB and anywhere else I can think of where stampers gather. I’m also going contact Joann online where I purchased the presses and Michaels online where my friend and combined an order for six extra plates, all with cracks that originate from every hole. I had no idea a company of this size would not stand by their product. Like it’s my problem that all their inventory is flawed so they can’t send any replacements and I should be gratified that they are going to inspect their next run more carefully. I wonder who they plan to sell those to, other unsuspecting stores?
