I’m kind of interested in this one. I did preorder the small TH since I have had good luck with the larger one. I like that you could have several plates loaded up for layer stamping. I also like the idea of no bumpers, a foam mat, and a grid on the bottom. Those seem like pluses. I’ll be interested to see the reviews. It would be the end of my Misti for sure if this performs well and is reasonably priced. I didn’t get the VP guy saying that hinges make stamping inaccurate. I haven’t found that to be true at all. Inaccurate is when I don’t scheck to make sure if my paper shifted.

WRMK has done a great job on the gadget side of this industry. The quality isn't always the best, but usually adequate for the price. I have more than a few WRMK "unitaskers", as Alton Brown calls single-function kitchen items. I have my eye on the mini envelope board, even though I'm sure I could make little envelopes a multitude of other ways.
This looks like a really innovative idea. I'm happy with my TH press, but I like the idea of extra plates for layered stamping. On one of Tim Holtz's new large stamps, he mentioned that it would come on it's own hinged plate. Looks like this is a trend we'll see more of.

Not sure that I like the idea of the peg system - to me it seems more awkward than some kind of hinge.

Inaccurate is when I don’t scheck to make sure if my paper shifted. I have the Tim Holtz platform, and I have had “imperfect” impressions before. It’s something I thought about before buying the platform. With the hinge, one side of the stamp (the side closest to the hinge) will always touch the paper before the other side. If I put too much pressure too early, that side of the image has a heavier look. You can get around that with practice. I’ve notice stamping further away from the hinge gives me a better impression. I don’t stamp enough to have two stamp positioners. I almost wish I had waited. This positioner looks like it would work really well for me. Having said that, I may have still gone with the TH positioner because...well...Tim Holtz.

I have to say, WRMK are killing it this year with their tool releases. This looks great.

All I want to know is if it still has the typeset plate!!! That is why I wanted the PLUS version. I make my own using the WRMK mini magnetic mat attached to the bottom clear plate to line things up and have the tiny super magnets to hold paper down. I have 3. But I will buy this one IF it has the typeset plate. I have several sets of alphabets that would work with the typeset plate.
And yes, sometimes the hinge does interfer with perfect stamping with some stamps.

That makes sense. I thought when the WRMK demo guide used the word inaccurate he was alluding to a slight shift of the image being stamped.

I assumed it has a hinge so that it doesn't have to be removed from the block. I'll be interested in hearing exactly how it works. It's a pretty stamp.

Tim used it in his video of Stampers Anonymous peeks... it is nice. And showed the block, essentially a large acrylic block.

i cant decide if i like this or not. For one thing, there's two pieces and...I lose things LOL. It would be just like me to misplace the top. Secondly, the pegs and the holes have to fit VERY snuggly for there to be no mismatch in re-stamped images. Just a thought. I wish there was a place i could try it out. That said, I am happy with my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. I do occasionally get stamps that are more dark on the top edge, but i've learned to be careful and press from the bottom up when the plate is down. Seems to fix any issues.

Just an FYI if anyone is interested. The price of the WRMK stamp press will be 34.99 and extra plates will sell for 9.99. So far I haven’t been able to find a source that is selling them yet but that is the price.

I just bought one of these. Joann had them on sale for 20.99 and free shipping. I am surprised I like this so much. I thought the pegs would be fussy but they are not. I love that there are no bumpers to get all inky on the open sides so I can use big stamp pads. It stamps perfectly in the corner unlike my Mini Misti because there are no bumpers. The rubbery short feet are a great feature and don’t promote wobbling like the old foam legged Fiskars press. I am a leftie so no hinge on the wrong side works better for me. The stamping area is about the same size as my Tim Holtz travel platform. It has markings on both the foam pad and the bottom magnetic platform used for foam mounted stamps. I’m not sure about the sturdiness of the markings on the lid or the pad so I will probably not use alcohol on the top of the lid or on the pad. With the price being so reasonable I’m not worried about this lasting for 20 years but it doesn’t seem cheaply made. Scrapbook.com has additional lids for less than 9. I like my not as tall Tim Holtz magnets even in my Misti so I use those in this although the ones that come with it are OK. I would recommend covering them with tape right away. I already have a small chip on one of the untaped Precision Press magnets from them smashing together.

Fiskars had something like this years ago. Fiskars didn't have the pegs, but it did have the removable top plate and I think the legs were foam.
I had seen Fiskars press at Archivers!

I have this one, too, and it's my favorite one. I love how evenly it stamps.

I have the fiskars one but I don't think I've ever used it. The foam legs don't let you restamp accurately but I think it helps for positioning them before stamping.

I have way too many stamp positioners (TH, Mini Misti, Precision Plus), but this one looks really cool. I have a Fiskars stamp block that has feet and I use it a lot.
The Precision Plus with the Typeset plate is awesome. Did WRMK discontinue them? I bought mine on HSN last year. I use the typeset plate to stamp my return address on envelopes.

After spending a ton of money to get a TH positioner *right away* when the whole lawsuit thing happened I think I avoided this post! But now, looking at the video, this is interesting. I find the TH press a little awkward - maybe too big? I just feel like it takes up a ton of space when I'm using it. Maybe I'm positioning it in the wrong direction on my desk but anyway, it feels awkward. And I definitely have issues with thin stamps not printing evenly. Mot much of an issue with big bold stamps, but the differing heaviness of fine lines is noticeable sometimes. I might have to check this out. Darn, WRMK. $.$ They are pretty clever at coming up with gadgets.

Michaels ran a sale and has these Advanced presses in stock. A friend of mine grabbed one in WA with a 40% off coupon and picked up three extra plates for me on sale also. I think the deals on these will just keep coming. I am completely sold on mine. I never thought I would say I like anything better than my travel platform but this this is the one for me. I think I will be careful cleaning this one and just use a baby wipe instead of alcohol. There is printing on the mat so I use a grid paper just to save making a mess. Actually using up all my old Misti paper pads. If you are a leftie no hinge means being able to work with the rulers right side up.
The Misti lawsuit has been dismissed. In looking it up I got the idea that the judge dismissed it. I do know that without prejudice means it can’t be brought up again. I’m copying the info I saw but I have no legal understanding about what this all means. I’m into my fourth week of vacation in the middle of nowhere so I have time on my hands to look up silly stuff.

Awww. I hope they are not out of stock. Our Joann is so small that they don’t stock them so I had to go online. I hope your Michaels has them. I noticed yesterday that Joann had them back in stock online but they bonked up the shipping to 4.99. Sometimes they offer free shipping on the weekends. It changes every few days with them.

They just didn't carry it-it was a small joann's store. I'll check michaels next week if we're near one. The closest is an hour away (same with Joann's and Hobby Lobby).

It looks interesting. I can see the appeal.
However, since my Tim Holtz stamp positioner seems to work just fine for me, I really can't justify buying another one right now.
If I did buy another stamp positioner, it would be the one that lets you lift the top plate and move it down one section at a time, to make rows in an even pattern. I want that one because it does something the others don't. I think it was Stampin' Up's version. Is it more available now, or still special order at certain times?
