anyone else giving themselves extra mini-challenges? Right now, my two are--use my kits and use my scraps!!!! Yes! I want to use old supplies. I have been too. I am on a DT for a shop here in the UK and basically the only scrapping I usually do, is LO's for a blog post once a month. And I have to stick primarily to things available in the shop. Which is great. But it's been fab to just chuck whatever I like on a LO for a change. And I'm digging through old boxes of stash, I'm really enjoying it! I definitely want to use some old BG on a few LO's and I'd like to dig in the supplies even further and use some older papers up too. I am loving it so far!

Just posted in the day 4 challenge Also here is another free style project - sorry for the photo quality, having difficulty with flickr this morning (anyone else?) This is a monthly home dec (well office dec really) project that was started on another group I am on, however it was not popular so she discontinued it as a kit, but she still sells the wood pieces. I was disappointed that the kit was discontinued but at least I can get the pieces so I can compete my own each month.

Another freestyle for me plus a weekend stretch challenge used sketch #177 from Sketch Savvy sketchsavvy.blogspot.com/2017/03/sketch-177.html for page one and stretched across to make a 2-page layout. white cardstock background - red, green, yellow, and blue cardstock scraps behind the photos (3 on page 1, 2 on page 2), 'Lego' washi tape across the top of the layouts (is all washi tape a pain? I've never used it before but it kept tearing and splitting). Photos by DS at Legoland Japan

And another freestyle There are a LOT of Legoland Japan photos in my to-scrap pile (and if I ever get through them - there are TWO trips worth of photos from Legoland Florida...and I do believe one of DS's stops on his vacation this week is going to be Legoland Malaysia) Used sketch #176 from Sketch Savvy sketchsavvy.blogspot.com/2017/03/sketch-176.htmlwhite cardstock background - yellow, blue, beige, and black scraps behind the photos, I cut tags with the Cricut from blue, yellow, and beige cardstock and added QK brick diecuts in black, beige, blue, and yellow.

another freestyle layout used sketch #174 from Sketch Savvy sketchsavvy.blogspot.com/2017/03/sketch-174.htmlDug deep in my stash for some dinosaur paper I've had for years to use as the background. Main rectangle is a dull dark teal cardstock, navy blue cardstock and a yellow mini dot PP are the strips under the photos. Punched 3 2" circles - one each of the teal, navy, and yellow dot. Cut a T-Rex and a fossil from white cardstock with my QK dies for the top Navy circle and middle yellow dot circle. Title is computer typed (Dinosaur jr font) on a white strip of cardstock as the final strip "Digging for Dinosaurs" Photos are of DD11 using her Smithsonian Digging up Dinosaurs kit during Christmas Break 2017

one last layout before dinner - also using Sketch Savvy #173 this time.
turquoise cardstock for the background. grey cardstock for the main layer and black/white dot PP as an accent. Two white circles (punched 2"), 3 hand-cut banners (is that what they are called -the rectangles with the triangles cut out of the bottom). I use my QK bricks die to add small grey Lego bricks to the top of the banners and a larger grey brick to one of the circles. I had to change the photo sizes a bit - and used two horizontal and one vertical.

anyone else giving themselves extra mini-challenges? Right now, my two are--use my kits and use my scraps!!!! After Dee's weekend #1 challenge (and my stretch of that layout was a pocket page), I was thinking of seeing how many pocket pages that I have waiting to be put together I could accomplish through this month. I have an event that I'm working on for the water challenge which has pocket pages attached. I have another outing that I know I was putting some pocket pages with, so I'll see if any challenges come up that fit it.

LisaDV - thanks - I have DD11 home sick from school today (and tomorrow) but thankfully she doesn't need too much tending and my craft area is in the family room so it's easy to scrap AND keep her company.

Thanks, Linda. Yours are hardest for me to track b/c without the images, I may not notice you have added a new item. Or to remember if I have already added it to the tally (only do the tally once a day here: the rest is on paper). I will adjust your total now and then if you keep updating it, then it will be up to date. BTW 24 pages in 5 days is phenomenal!!!

Freestyle for me
"Mia's Riding Adventure" - 1 page, using Sketch Savvy #171 - white background, green on green random dot paper (super ugly but it worked for thsi page), dark brown cardstock for layering. 4x6 photo matted in dark green, title computer printed on a white horizontal strip under and to the right of the photo. Cricut-cut stars in 3 sizes (light and dark green and dark brown) in clusters at top left and lower right, some pop-dotted. Two smaller stars to the left of title.
Photo from Legoland Florida (I'm running out of single photos...most of my layouts tend to be multiple)
