Wasnt able to scrap before work today--seems my ds12 didn't have a migraine yesterday but the onset of the flu. So between work issues and him, I only had time to sneak into my scraproom to make this Freestyle card for my DS15, who is going thru a rough patch. Perhaps I will have time after work today but likely not. I am going to give some love in between patients at work though

What an awesome card, mamakoala! So many interesting layers. And such a sweet thing to do for your ds. If you did this by sneaking into your craftroom for a few minutes, I am intrigued to see what you would come out of there with after a whole day of playing! Hope both your ds's feel better soon.

It took about 45 minutes, but in all honesty, the little birdies were already colored. I color in front of the tv with the family at night, so I always have a stash of images to grab. This one felt very 'mom'-like--i hope my son likes it.

I have always wanted to try those popup dies, but being a simple card maker I was unwilling to invest the money--but i may have to try now. I am heading to HL after work to see if they've discounted stuff any more--maybe they'll have something like this. Great card!

Well, February has been so busy at work. And then I got that sinus infection that wrecked my whole weekend last weekend. DH just told me he's not going to make it home this weekend. So, I am going to do a little bit of cleaning and a whole lot of scrapping. You guys have really been creating some pretty things. I haven't had time to comment, but just trying to keep up by sharing my likes. I can't wait to create.

With all the threads and all the creativity, I'm trying to like all the shares. And then catch up on commenting when I get a chance. I think I'm caught up on day 1 through 6 now, but this thread and 7,8, &9 are going to have to wait. My fingers are cramping as is my butt from sitting too long. lol

mamakoala I'm really loving all your cards. I've never been a card maker (I'm more a stick a couple of pieces of paper together if I need something in a hurry) but your projects are seriously making me wish I took the time to turn out mini works of art.

I'm looking for embellishments to finish my current page (clearly!!) but I think "I'll just jump on and see what's happening for a minute" and 20 mins later I've gone down the rabbit hole of all the new pages and projects shared and achieved absolutely nothing I intended.

I still love scrapbooking, but card making has reignited my creative fire. ty for your kind comment!

OK - I'm jumping in. I've been thinking about this all week and have even done some layouts. Now I'm off to finish the week and then figure out how to post the pictures. Whoo hoo! Welcome to the party!!! I added you to the list of participants in the op. You will find links to all the challenges so far there as well. If you post in the original challenge thread--say Challenge #6: Template Tuesday--you will get a point for doing that challenge. If you post a pic of your page, you get an extra point for it. If your page doesn't match any of the challenges so far, then post in THIS thread to let us know you have completed a FREE STYLE creation, and I will give you a point for that. A couple of ways to link photos to your posts: (1) use the "add attachment" button at the top right of the Reply message pane, and when the popup appears, select the photo(s) you want to attach, wait for them to link, and then click the button that says finish, or attach or something at the bottom of that pop up pane. (2) Upload your photo to Flickr. When it is uploaded, click on the share button bottom right (the curvy arrow). A pop up window will appear. Select BBcode. Then copy the address that appears in the little window. Go back to this message board, and paste that address directly into your post. If you need help linking your photos to your posts, please PM me, and I can try to walk you through it in more detail.
