Just went to Big Lots and was disappointed to find no more scrappy stuff. I had gotten Bazzill cardstock there quite awhile ago and was hoping to get some more...no such luck! I did get some super pretty AC ribbon though, from 2013, which was about all I could find in the scrappy area. The girl that checked me out said they had clearanced all the scrap stuff a while back and didn't know if they would be getting more. How about the Big Lots in your area....do you still have any scrappy stuff and are you noticing anything new coming in???

Nope, no more scrap stuff. Someone posted a thread about that not too long ago saying the same thing.

I remember reading the same thing a while back maybe on 2Peas. We only had one or two Big Lots stores in my area and they were both kind of dumpy so I never liked going there anyway. I don't think we have any left now, and I'm not surprised.

We have a brand new one-- it doesn't even smell. I think they had a handful of packs of thickers when I went in there. However, I got that sense that they are attempting to be less of an overstock store and more of an alternative to family dollar-- they had a lot of their shelves stocked with things that looked like they would be regularly replenished, like grocery and health/beauty items.

It's been ages since any of the Big Lots in our area have had any scrapbook related supplies. I don't even bother to go in there anymore.

I asked the manager at the Big Lots here. He said they were not going to stock scrapbook supplies anymore. I asked him if that was true for all stores and he said yes. Bummed me because I bought Bazzill at my store too.

I was there the other day and there is nothing left. Earlier in the spring, I was at a crop where the ladies mentioned a huge scrapbook sale going on there. I went the next day and it seemed to be the same old garbage they usually carried.
Our Tuesday Morning continues to get new stock in, small quantities, but still enough to get me to check it out every few weeks.

Same here. Looks like they are cleaning out that aisle.
Will be bummed if they turn into a Dollar Store. The last thing we need around here is another store with poorly made cheap crap. I love getting great deals on organic foods and drinks too.

Bummer that they don't carry scrapbook stuff. We are getting a new store in the next few months that is closer to my house. I would prefer they they stayed an overstock store vs. a cheapo grocery store. I hate checking the dates of things. I also got Bazzil paper from Tuesday Morning last month.

our BLs all cleared out their SB section last year. what a bummer but now Tuesday Morning is expanding their crafting section so it's not a total loss.

I went to Tuesday Morning yesterday and managed to get 3 packs of Bazzil cardstock, a set of Studio Calico flair, Amy Tan embellishments, and Crate's All Bundled Up stitched embellishment pack. I am not usually that lucky! They had a ton of 6x6 paper pads, but I either had them already or they weren't my style. I stopped going to Big Lots a while ago as well.

I noticed this at my Big Lots the other day, too. Ours used to be really good, but has really gone down hill. Lots of other options though.

Our Big Lots used to have some cool, quirky stuff at decent prices. Now the prices seem really jacked up and nothing is special. The only things worth looking at are some of the food things.

Se happened to our BL. You could go in and get something odd and quirky for cheap but now the prices seem marked up and the package sizes are going down. Bummer bc I could go into the BL two days before Halloween, finds tons of odds n ends and BAM!!! Costume made in 1 hr.

My BL hasn't had scrapping stuff in ages, and back when they used to have it the items were old and crappy and ugly. I used to read the posts on 2 Peas from people who'd found all this cool stuff and all mine had was old Colorbok 11.5"x11.5" paper and kiddie farm animal stickers. (LOL at the post about having the new BL that didn't even smell.)

The last time I was at the Big Lots in Fresno, there wasn't much of anything. Not surprised to hear that they wont be replenishing their supplies. I have lots of good luck though at Tuesday Mornings and TJ Maxx (thickers & stamps usually)
To be honest though, I buy 90% of my supplies online. Wish it wasn't the case though. I would love to be able to run into a store like Big Lots on a regular basis and find scrappy things again.

The old Big Lots store was fine and had lots of cheap goodies. It closed several years ago and a new one opened. I was very excited until I went. It's like Family Dollar -- it's just smaller sizes of things at regular retail prices. (IOW they make people think they are getting a deal, but they're actually paying full price per unit. Sometimes, it costs MORE per unit than if you went to Target.) No crafting stuff at all, either.

Well, this figures. For years, I've been reading about this store and was jealous because we don't have them in canada. Now, one is opening near me, and I was all excited...for nothing apparently
