It seems like so long ago since TWD was on!
I know lots of us have been really disappointed in the past few seasons and with the whole Negan story I'm kinda there. Some episodes I find quite good and others are kind meh but I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I've invested too much time in it lol.
I'm not looking forward to Carl's ending ugh. I actually really liked Carl and always thought he'd be there until the end.
It will be interesting to see how Rick will unravel.
Spencer gets the pleasure of watching TWD because where I'm staying they don't have AMC he's thrilled not really lol.
Who will be watching tonight?

I have to say I'm not as excited as previous seasons it's a combo of just where I'm at in life with all that's gone on with Spencer and the arc the show has taken. |

The only thing that makes me soldier through is I love the next story line and I am hoping the show follows it.
I've just never seen on the show where they are just flat out said "Character X is going to die."

Chris Hardwick posted something on his fb page about being the hug after the show. I'm not a huge Carl fan, although I ebb and flow on my lukr/did like for him, but... As a parent watching another, even fictional, parent lose their child...i have a feeling it will be fit wrenching. Not Carl himself, but rick and michonne |

I'm still hanging in there. I'm like you, I've put way too much in this show to give up on it. I think killling Carl was a shit move for the storyline, but I'm really hoping they turn this season around starting tonight. Losing Carl is going to be devastating for rick, but I hope that it will force him into real action and end this Negan plot line. They have drug it on WAY too far and the incessant gun fighting (and in-fighting in the group) is just like UGGGHHHH at this point.
My favorite characters by far are rick and Daryl (I ate at Nic and Norman's a couple of weeks ago and was SOOOO hoping Norman would pop in, but alas he did not) But I need to see rick get his damn mojo back, I feel like even though he has rallied and started fighting back, I hate the way they kind of emasculated him and all of his efforts so far feel like folly.
Dammit Carl. They really shouldn't have done that. I hope the mistakes of last season and this season can be recovered from for the show, but I'm afraid they've lost some viewers forever. I am the only one in my house still watching and it used to be a family event - everyone dropped everything on Sunday at 9. 😕

I have seen a bunch of online chatter about this being a fake out like Glenn and the dumpster. If they do that....well, I just think they will be sealing the coffin lid on the show if they do. The viewers aren't going to stick around for that again I don't think. But also, I read where his dad got all pissy on twitter or something about how shitty it was the way they let him go after making him think he was safe on the show. I guess it could have been staged, but I'm just thinking that *me* as a parent, if my kid was an actor I probably wouldn't have participated in that. That said, throw a million $$ my way and I'll get a twitter and tweet whatever you want me to. So I don't know. I guess we'll just have to see. |

I heard about his dad on Twitter as well. Carl figures heavily into future story lines, maybe they are changing things up.

I thought he already died. His father was ranting on about him being fired from the show so I thought it had already happened. I was hurrying to try and catch up before it started up again tonight..

I am recording the show tonight because DH is working tonight and I work tomorrow so we won't get to watch it for a few days. While I'm sure I'll watch, I am not excited or anxious about watching it. I think the dark turn the show has taken and the dragging story line is about to lose me. I think the dark turn is inevitable but I was hanging on to that shred of happiness from the farm days. I enjoyed seeing them plan the scavenger trips and forming bonds and watching how resourceful they were becoming. SaveSave |

I'm glad it's back, still a fan. But I don't care if they kill off Carl. Have no feelings for him. After he killed that one kid for no reason. I have mixed feelings about Rick. I think a lot of the shit they get into is his fault.

Honestly this opening wrecked me with Carl. Him writing the good bye letters, Taking the photos with Judith and trying the chewing tobacco. The look he gives himself in the mirror.
Say what you want about Carl but his acting during his portrayal really improved.
The scenes with Rick and the beard confuse me. Carl was in the one scene so I guess these can't be the future.
Michonne and Rick digging tore me up

I loved Carl and thought he was a great little actor. I like to see kids grow up on tv. And he was adorable when he was little.
