Hi everyone. Hope all is well with everyone! Have another card I made last night I thought I would share. It too was inspired by a card on Pinterest. @elaynef I hope you get to feeling like your old self soon. Love your frame and you have such a great eye for design you ought to go to school for interior design. woodysbetty Love you layouts- how fun your pages are. Loving the tags. Oh I never introduced myself-I apologize. I am Cindy aka scrapincin. I am a wife, mother and grandomther of 2. I am retired and sometimes I actually scrap or make cards. kellyr21 I sure hope you start feeling better?! We miss you and you creations. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Ok here's my post and then I will be getting off to start dinner. Birthday card of 3/9/18 by Cindy Blair, on Flickr

Left some love for this sunny card in the Gallery, scrapincin . I made a set of Fathers' Day cards (of all things) today for Calvinball. I had pinned a birthday card awhile ago, and had embossed the kraft scraps to make it. Those pieces and some coordinating scraps had been migrating around my desk for a couple of days, so decided to finish the pieces and glue them all together. Hope I can find the cards come June Good to hear from you kellyr21 . Hope you are feeling better and can get crafty again soon. @elaynef , that life size Valentine is lovely. As is your "scrapbooked house". And I envy you those blue bonnets. Looking out my window, all I see is snow. And once that melts, the view will be brown grass, grey trees, black mud for awhile. I actually LOVE the first few happy dandelions that pop up: the first colour of the new season around here! We went out to the local dinner theatre last night. Met some of dh's friends there, and they reminisced about the "good ol' days". The food I could eat was good (I can't eat garlic, and these days caterers put it in EVERYTHING!) and there was PIE! The play was funny and we had some laughs. Attachments:

Hi Pokeys,
I still haven't scrapped anything this month, but I'll have some photos to play with. I went to a flower show on Friday and out to lunch with mom today. On the way home I had time to stop by my LSS. But I tried not to spend on stuff that wasn't on my list. (Who on earth walks into their LSS with a shopping list? ) Succeeded too. I bought an album and page protectors, and one sheet of paper. I'm still in the spending refrigerator.
Appointment with DD'S new neurologist tomorrow. Wish us luck.
Waving hi to all !

Love your cards, scrapincin . And for your love in the Gallery. Good for you getting out of the LSS with only the items on your list, msliz . I am like a kid in a candy store when I get in there. And since my LSS lady orders things for me that I see on line, even if I DO stick to the list, I usually leave with a pretty heavy bag. Sent her two emails today... Hoping that your dd's appointment goes well tomorrow. How did Sunday School go today, nylene ? Bet those kids love you! I am "keeping up" with Calvinball for the moment, finished two more pages today. But now my Winter album is full, so if I am going to do more pages in the next few days they will have to be with older photos. I did some playing around with kitchen foil embossing folders, and alcohol inks this evening that I hope to turn into some cards tomorrow. Maybe I will turn these into sympathy cards. I never have them when I need them and don't feel like making them then either. Not much more crafty time for me this week. Wednesday I need to go to the LSS to register us in a crop, and while I am in town will have a repair done on my vehicle. Also hoping to get my shaggy hair cut this week. Tried contacting my hairdresser last week but she didn't get back to me. Maybe they were away on spring break. Then Thursday I am driving to Calgary for the weekend with kids and grandkids. When they facetimed tonight the 4 year old asked what I was doing. I told him I was watching TV and he said, "Gramma you should watch TV at OUR house!" How can you turn down an invitation like that? Another thing I may end up doing this week is making a few Easter treats for those guys to take with me when I go. Have a wonderful week, Pokeys!

Wow! You all have been busy creating! I hope to catch up and leave you all love before the end of the month. This week, in addition to life which is busy, I'm packing for a crop on the weekend and I still hope to grab some time on Tuesday and Wednesday for digital pages.
I feel like if I don't meet my CB goals, I will not meet my yearly goals. My CB goal is 80 layouts. So that through the rest of the year I can average just 1 page a week.
Thanks for the love on my Easter pages. I ignored the kids for a few hours on Tuesday and and a few on Wednesday to scrap. I even started my Christmas 2017 layouts. Then Wednesday night DS had me up until 3:30 and then I "slept" in a chair until 8. Those sinus issues, which I immediately had him start using his flonase, was due to a sinus infection. He's now taking antibiotics and a steroid pack. We go back in April. He has really tiny nasal cavities so any build up makes it hard on him. I'm in the midst of cleaning and organizing his room so he's been sleeping on the couch in the living room. On Saturday, dd woke up with really glassy eyes, her I have a cold tale sign. I'm blaming this warm up and cool down weather. argh!
I did find a new washer and will be upgrading the dryer too. But today, DH is buying the tile to do the floor underneath the washer. Of course, this is Don's busy season, so he really is busy with work all the time. Still, I told him that I want the washer/dryer delivered and installed by the end of this month. Which means at least one if not 2 more laundromat visits for me and he'll have to hustle.
I promise to catch up on the posts through this week. I hope everyone is well rested and healthy and that you have a fantastic week.

Oh, LisaDV , I hope your ds is feeling better and that you got some SLEEP!!! Don't stress yourself out about scrapping. 80 LO's is a lot for a month! If you get them done, wonderful. If not, I hope at least you have some time to play and have some fun doing it! My hairdresser finally got back to me and I am getting this shaggy mane cut off tomorrow morning. Creatively, I managed to get my Easter egg cookies done today. They are drying on a rack and will be packed up tomorrow. Also finished 3 cards for Calvinball. Used kitchen foil again, but this time I coloured it with alcohol inks.

Oh, LisaDV, I hope everyone is healthy again soon. It's so hard on a mother when her kids aren't healthy. I hope your scrapping this month is a joy - 80 layouts is a lot. Don't let it become a chore! I haven't been able to scrap at all this month as it's been one thing after another that wants my attention, and when I have my down time, I can't seem to force myself to do it. I think things will be quieter next week and I can get back to it. grammadee, that's such a neat effect with the embossed foil and the inks!

Hi everybody. I have been taking it easy this Calvinball, so production is slow. I am in awe of your 80 page goal LisaDV . Good luck with DD's appointments msliz . scrapincin you have been doing such a great job with those cards. You, too, grammadee . I joined Weight Watchers online 10 days ago, so I have been focusing on figuring out a new way of eating. Tonight we are going out for my MIL's birthday, but I figured out my restaurant order and cake points ahead of time. Here is my 2 page spread for my Book of Me class. Wow, I got so behind by not posting over the weekend. I love all the cards. scrapincin , I left love in the gallery and plan to do some scraplifting. grammadee , I love what you did with the foil and alcohol inks. Those are beautiful cards. I had to chuckle at your grandson needing you to watch TV at his house. Don't you wish we could just wiggle our noses and appear where the grandkids are. Be careful on your trip. Your cookies sound great! LisaDV , I can't believe your goal is 80 pages!! My yearly goal isn't that many pages. I hope you are able to meet your goal. You are a superwoman. msliz , I haven't done even one layout this month either. I think last month's prompts kept me going, but life just got in the way so far this month. I hope you get a chance to scrap before the end of the month. justjac , I can't believe what a prolific scrapper you are. I love your double page above. It is So YOU. So perfectly showing your artistic personality. Love it. @elaynef , did you come home to lots of things needing to be done? That's what happens when I leave home for a while. I hope things are going well for your DD. She is in my prayers for some answers that will improve her health. kellyr21 , are you starting to see Spring in your area? We were at 60 degrees yesterday and near that today, but we are expecting snow again on Sunday. I was hoping to go to Calif over Spring Break the end of the month. Em's Ashley is having surgery over the break so we can't go. (since Em does most of the driving). I won't get my fill of palm trees this year or my fill of hugging Angie's kids. They will be here in the summer but they don't bring those beautiful palms with them. LOL Our Primary class went well Sunday. We had plenty of things for them to do and they seemed to enjoy the class. I'm getting better at judging the # of activities needed to fill the time. Have a great week, everyone.

Happy Tuesday! Hope you all are having a good day. That little cold I got was gone by last weekend and I was glad it didn't last too long. I was able to get out even though it rained to JCP's. I ordered some jeans and was excited to pick them up. But when I tried them on they were shorter than I ordered. They were like capries (19' inches) instead of ankle length. They still looked cute but I am so glad I took them back to the store on Sunday. They had those pants in the store and when I compared them to mine, omg! Mine were a defect. So the customer service lady gladly let me exchange to the right ones. So weird that those pants would be so short when the others were the long style.
Here is a card I made using Anna Griffin pop-up card kit. So cute. I wish the pictures did a better job showing the layers but you get the idea. Pop-up Card 1 by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

nylene- I knew you would find your way with those kiddos. Sorry you won't be coming for Spring Break. You are missing the nice weather we are having and the palms. But I hope you can get out here this Summer. If I see any good Palm trees I will send you a few pics. @elaynef- Your Valentine's Day clip board is a good idea. I like it! LisaDV- 80 pages??? Pace yourself my friend and I hope you reach your goal. I know you are excited for the new washer/dryer. I hope your dh gets it all up the deadline! LOL! I know sometimes we have to give our sweet husband a little deadline. scrapincin- Hope you are feeling better these days. Your cards are fantastic. I love that lollipop one. Great work.

nylene, I knew you would find your way with your Sunday School kids. It's funny you are using journals as I just decided to use an art journal with dd for Bible Catechism work. I've been looking for ways to make subjects that she is struggling in more accessible to her - Bible, Science and Math. The Catechism coursebook is really dry and not very well done. Our other Bible studies were fine. grammadee, Did you get your desk cleaned up from 28-4-28? I love your ski pages and your Thinking of you cards (that little bird is so cute). I will be leaving love on all your creations some time soon (hopefully today since I already have tabs with them open on the computer). It's perfectly normal to be excited by the photo opportunities of your August trip and to be excited to create the pages around them! I think you received the best invitation you could have for the weekend. I, too, would drop everything to go. It's so sweet of you to make cookies for your family. Since Easter falls on April Fools, my DH & I are trying to find silly things to go in the plastic eggs to hide. We usually do money (coins), as I think we have enough sweets normally and dd can't do a lot of those anyway. So DH bought some washers, which will sound like coins in the eggs. I think I'll fill a few with shaving cream. Maybe I'll make some homemade silly putty. Any other ideas are appreciated??? woodysbetty, I like your morning wake up page. It's a great subject to do. I think the stock photo was a perfect way to document your niece's visit. Sometimes you have to live in the moment and can't be bothered with pictures. Your page is beautiful. Love the colors and design. scrapincin, cute heel well card. cracked me up. I love your birthday wishes card with the white and black and the butterfly. So elegant. How have you been? kellyr21, I'm glad your cold is gone and that you are creating again. Your pop-up card is gorgeous! The chickens are starting to lay more eggs with the longer days. It's cold again here so they're not out as much, but you can really taste the difference of the outside days in the yolk. I've told DH to take some eggs to the neighbors. I've also started making my own mayonnaise. DD can't have the conventional store bought that ds likes. Although he said this batch, was pretty close to good. He's been grabbing it instead of the store bought, so I think he likes it more than he lets on. I've almost talked DH into 2 little piglets in the spring. We have a back garden that needs to be worked up for planting. It's a lot of work without a tractor. Those pigs would have it worked up in no time and we wouldn't winter them. Plus we'd have a freezer full of pork and sell the other off. @elaynef, I like your Valentine's Day present for your dh. It will make a great addition to your Valentine scrapbook house. How did your dd appointment go with the naturopath? I hope you are now well rested and all your chores are done. msliz, how did the neurologist appointment go for your dd? Weren't you going to the Mayo this year? I felt like you in February with everything taking my attention. Actually, I still feel a bit that way, but I'm trying to force myself to take time to scrapbook too. justjac, love your I Am page with the purple. I like that you call yourself a "crafty evangelist". I know 80 pages is a lofty goal. However, I use CB for mainly those digital event styled pages that I really am not crazy about scrapbooking anyway, but I really want in my albums. Digital pages don't take me as long as I can always undo something so I just do and worry less. Last year I got a year of Christmas, a outing day, and a vacation complete as well as a few other pages and ended the month with over 90 pages. I have several years of Christmas to do and birthdays. I'm actually doing last year's birthdays traditionally and have them printed to take to my crop this weekend. OK, I should get going on one of the many things that needs to get accomplished today.

Actually, I still feel a bit that way, but I'm trying to force myself to take time to scrapbook too. Thanks for asking. DD said no to Mayo for now. I think the appointment went okay, just okay. He's going to try her on Botox for the migraines, but he's not acknowledging the dysautonomia/POTS, not that he could do anything about it anyway. Still, if he can do something about the migraine and/or her body pain that would be a huge improvement. He thinks an SSRI might help too, but we've been there/ done that and it made no difference. It's all running through insurance now, and then we'll set up an appointment for her first shot. I guess we'll see how it goes ... Have a great time at your crop! I think I could get some stuff done at a crop, but at home I just can't relax enough to enjoy myself. My to-do list nags at me. I missed the one this month because of a commitment, and next month's is a big weekend getaway that I can't free myself up for, so my next crop might not be until May. Next week will be easier for me though, so I should be able to do a little something at my table.

You will all think I have lost my mind! I couldn't figure out how everyone knew that kellyr21 had been sick, when I discovered that I had missed half of the page one of this thread. What a nut I am! So, I'm going back to let you know how much I love your creations. woodysbetty , that was a great idea to use a stock photo so that you could memorialize the day with your niece. I love your journaling and love the font you used. It looks similar to one I use a lot. Do you remember what it was? Great page. kellyr21 , I love your Anna Griffin card. It is the most beautiful pop up card I have ever seen. She does beautiful designs. Everything about your card is so elegant! I am glad you are feeling better. scrapincin , you are really working on your cards. I started laughing as I clicked on your card and saw the feet. What a clever sentiment. That will cheer someone up!! Keep up the good work. You are inspiring me. grammadee , we took Em and her two (then) little girls to Disney World. It was the most wonderful trip. We could have spent 3 days in the Animal Kingdom alone. I know you will all have a great time. @elaynef , I love your Valentine to DH. I love having family photos around the house. Your home decor is beautiful. I loved your statement about when you aren't scrapping you are scrapping your home. I should do that more often. I just today took the valentine wreath from my front door, leaving it bare. I need to dig around and see if my Spring wreath is still in good condition. msliz , I am so sorry that things haven't been resolved with your DD. I feel fortunate that we have been able to help our DD with her abdominal migraines. They are still there, but not nearly as severe and the seizures have stopped. It is such a worry when you are always trying to find a new remedy. Best wishes to you and your daughter, as well as LisaDV , and @elaynef 's daughters. You are all in my prayers. You are all such great friends to me. LisaDV , getting little piggies sounds like fun. We used to share a pig each year with a friend and I loved having the meat in my freezer for winter. Well, now that I am somewhat caught up, I am going to start my first March page. I have missed scrapping each day!

Good Wednesday evening. I hope everyone--and their kids and spouses--are feeling well. My dd has "fired" her doctor b/c he will not listen to her about her symptoms, nor will he order the tests she thinks she needs in order to support the need for specific treatment. She found a doctor in Alberta that really listened, did some extra tests and prescribed a regimin that worked for her. This new guy won't look past the standard blood panel and she thinks that he thinks that this is all in her head. She is much better than she was a few years ago, but can feel herself slipping backward since he has changed her prescriptions. LisaDV , where did I miss that you were talking about expanding into pigs on your little farm? All I can say is make sure your garden in well fenced. Nothing loves fresh veggies like young pigs! Today I did a bunch of errands including registering justjac and me in the April crop at the LSS. Did a bit of shopping there and at Michaels, got a fog lamp replaced on my vehicle, and ran a bunch of errands for dh while I was in town. Not sure if I will be leaving as planned on Thursday. It will depend on the weather. A storm is going through southern Alberta right now. Will check road reports, weather forecasts and call my ddil in the morning to hear about the weather and road conditions on the ground down there. If driving conditions are too bad I will have to wait until Friday to go. Here is a page that took me three days. I have been adding layers, tucking in bits and pieces, since Monday. I wanted to finish it before I left for the weekend, so finished and photographed it tonight. The lighting is not great, but here it is: Spring boots by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

msliz, I'm sorry to hear dd said no to the mayo. I thought another PSOT mom on here said that they know their stuff when in comes to PSOT. I hope that the neurologist can help with the headaches and that the relief will help with other areas. Hugs. I hope you get some time next week. I'm quick to push off what I can for scrapbooking, probably too quick. It just seems lately that their is more and more that I can't push off. If the crop works out for me, they do them 2x a month, so I should be able to get a date that works every once in a while. nylene, have fun creating. grammadee, beautiful page. I just left you some love. I hope your roads are clear for your travels. The nice thing about being retired is it's no problem for you to leave on Friday and just stay an extra day on the tail end of the trip. I think I left love on the layouts shared and linked here over in flickr. Now I need to just go spend some time over at the gallery and catch everything else. I guess I should be getting off the computer. DD has her well-child check today. Since she has a cold, she's not looking forward to traveling. I'm still trying to pack for the crop and having a hard time deciding what to take. This is why I like to scrap at home.

Ha ha, scrapincin! Happy St Mildred's Day! Too many days to celebrate right about now. Yesterday was National Pi Day (3.14), today is the Ides of March (not sure if that is a celebration or a warning) and then of course there is St Patrick's Day on Saturday. Did you take a photo of your festive meal? I hope you had time to work on your page, nylene. Can't wait to see it. How did the dr visit go, LisaDV? I hope the botox works for the migraines, msliz. What have you heard from your dd, @elaynef? I hope she is doing better. How did the TOPS weigh in go yesterday, justjac, now that you are back on points again? I seem to have found any pounds I have ever lost so really need to get a handle on eating and exercise again. I am at home. The sun is shining, mocking me, but I decided to wait until tomorrow to drive. The snow is supposed to stop falling at that end by noon according to the latest forecasts, so by the time I am on that part of the road it should be cleared. (Takes me at least 5 1/2 hours to drive there). Yesterday I had printed a few new photos my dd sent my last week, so since I have an extra day here I slapped together a couple of quick pages. Not a lot of Calvinball points, but I liked the photos too much to distract from them with a lot of extra sb elements. I love--and attempted to mimic--the colours in the ice that was piled up along the shore of the lake. (This is actually the shore of a bay of one of the Great Lakes). Spring Breakup by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Spring breakup 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I am dressed in a green top and ready to go out for Irish stew at the local church this evening after dh gets home from feeding cows. Have my stuff all organized to pack up in the morning and head out on my drive.

scrapincin, that's too funny. I'll be at a crop on St. Patrick's Day so I'll be having corned beef and cabbage on Monday the 19th. Between us we average the 17th. I call that good enough! grammadee, I'm sorry you didn't make it today, but happy that you are being cautious. It's always better to be safe. There is blue ice like that on Lake Michigan right now! They are amazing photos. I'm suppose to be finalizing my crop packing. Yeah, obviously, I'm procastinating. After this, I plan to do a few digital layouts and then go to bed. It's 16F for the low tomorrow and 33F for the high. I was going to leave all of my Christmas supplies in the truck, possibly even overnight. Just taking them out if I need them. There are some stamps and stickers in the supplies. Do you think they'd be ok for one night?

Have fun at your crop, LisaDV! You will have lots of pages to add to your Calvinball count. Sneaky move to save your points from this week to surprise us all with next week, hmmm...? Very Calvinlike! I am showered and waiting for my hair to dry before heading out on my road trip this morning. Actually decided to spend a little quiet time here with my coffee before getting dressed, finishing my packing, and THEN heading out on the road. Should be out of here shortly after 9 AM. If I drive straight through I can be there in 5 1\2 hours if the roads are good. But I usually take a break in Edmonton where I check out a LSS and grab some lunch before going the rest of the way. Unless they need me to be there at a specific time, I won't rush b/c everyone is at work or at school anyway today. Have a wonderful weekend, Pokeys!

It's 16F for the low tomorrow and 33F for the high. I was going to leave all of my Christmas supplies in the truck, possibly even overnight. Just taking them out if I need them. There are some stamps and stickers in the supplies. Do you think they'd be ok for one night? Probably? I'd be more concerned about any inks, paints, or liquid glues.

Good evening one and all. Sounds like everyone is busy this weekend. I know some of you are off visiting and others just busy. My corn beef and cabbage were delicious and I have been eating Reubens since for lunch. I love those things. grammadee /sorry I did not think to take a picture of it. Too funny. I have been busy making cards and still have a few to go but I am going to scrap page tomorrow. Hopefully I will I am still coughing and coughing. Saw the doctor yesterday and he says its not my copd but he feels my allergies are completely out of whack. He put me on prednisone for 5 days and I am supposed to see my allergist who is one of the guys I worked for. Good to know its not my copd. well not much more to talk about but hope all is well with everyone. I know a couple of you are at crops having a real good time!

Quick check in. Arrived safely have had a chance to watch a couple of really exciting city championship hockey games. Dgs15 is a force to be reckoned with out there on the ice. They won their way out of their pool last night and into the semi finals tonight. They play Sunday morning. If they win that one (fingers crossed), they will get to play in the final tomorrow afternoon. Also got to watch a 4 year old's skating lesson and have brunch with my other ds's family this morning, and bake some cookies with my dgd this afternoon. In the morning I am taking a little guy to hockey so his parents can both go to his older brother's game. Hope the meds get that cough under control, scrapincin. And that you get your page created. Have been loving your cards.

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are doing well and enjoying this beautiful Sunday morning. The sun is shining so brightly this morning here. I hope it stays all day. Not staying long but here the last 3 cards I have made. It's Your Day by Cindy Blair, on Flickr Textured Front Birthday Card by Cindy Blair, on Flickr Thinking of You by Cindy Blair, on Flickr Thanks for looking and I will be back later. I do think this medicine is beginning to work. Not coughing quite as much.

Left some love in the gallery for your cards, scrapincin. Glad you are feeling a little better. Wondering about the embossing folders you used for the cupcake one: I have the top two. Wondering the manufacturer of the bottom two.
