Sign me up! Always up for a challenge. And we Calvinballers may be feeling a little lost come April first My goal is for 30 pages in April, and that should be do-able with a crop near the end of the month.

whats this all about?? Can someone tell me what we are signing up for? This thread is a follow up to: Any Interest in a Team Challenge?
I'm nervous that I won't be very helpful to my team. I had a great February, but I haven't been productive at all in March. I'd like to play along, but my goal is only 10. I'd rather surprise you with extras than disappoint you by not reaching my goal. ETA, JaneB , I hope you and your DH are recovering nicely.

I'll play along - I had a busy March which equalled lack of pages done - but hopefully April will be a bit less busy (looks at calender, sees DD17's Prom the first weekend, GS camping trip the second with both girls, DD17's Academic team state tournament the third wknd, and both DD17's grad bash AND a musuem lock-in with DD11 on the fourth weekend....maybe not)

I think they're still figuring out how it's going to work. I just wanted to make it clear that I might function best as a bench warmer in this game, hahaha, but I'm still in.

I’d like to play along....hopefully the pressure of team will get me scrapping again. Put me down for 10 pages in April.

Sorry all, I posted before I went to work but am now home. So, I’m excited to see some interest! Having never done this before, I’m sort of flying by the seat of my pants…but in my head what will happen is you can submit any project you like and get points for it. Whichever team has the most points at the end of the given period wins bragging rights. We have several challenges here already, so anything you make for those challenges will earn you points. I’d also like to start a few new ones, just for some variety, and again, points will be awarded for them. Participation in challenges would not be required though; any project you make would earn points. Cards, PL spreads, layouts, planner spreads, mini albums, a process video, home décor, etc. The whole point is to just get everyone scrapping and using our stuff. The team angle makes it more fun because it adds an element of competition.
BUT! We certainly don’t have to do the team thing…we could do a sort of calvinball thing instead where everyone works at their own pace and your only competition is yourself. Again, the idea is just to get our butts moving on the scrapping front.
Also, if we do decide on teams, if anyone is interested in being a team leader, let me know. I’m happy to do it for my team (if the team is happy to have me!) but would need someone for the other team.
So let me know what you think…teams or not?

I suspect I will also largely be a bench warmer but I'm in. I've done very little in the last couple of weeks but I would like to some accountability as I keep working on using my stash.
I don't mind if it's teams or not.

I will be watching the fun and cheering everyone on but I have a yoga event to host and then I am taking a Viking cruise through the Netherlands. So sadly my first world problems prevent me from joining! LOL!

I’ll play with a low number like 8. I think I’ll have a push to finish some house project before moving to gardening. Plus we’ll be getting our chicks soon.
I don’t care if it’s teams or not. If it’s teams I’d be a team leader in May. I have a crop and can do more pages then.

If anyone else wants to jump in and try any extra challenges, that would work, too, just not for team points. And I don't see how anyone could "let down" a team. If you create something WOW: team points! If you don't, I think everyone knows that there is life outside of this hobby. And it could be fun to do a little trash talk between teams, egging each other on. I want to set up a month long iNSD activity for May that would include a bunch of extra challenges, and if the teams are established by then that could be a way for each team to add points. Not sure if the teams stay as originally set up with possible new recruits, or if new teams are formed each month? I am still hoping that someone who has played this kind of scrapbook game before--or at least SEEN one--could be the other team leader to challenge stinkerbelle's team. kiwigirl, do YOU want to lead a team?

what if we do two teams and the bench-warmers. we can keep them or switch them each month. if a bench-warmer wants to join another team one month, great! and vice-versa if a team player knows they won’t get much scrappy time in a particular month.
as mentioned, i’m at work , but when i get home tonight i can start ironing out details.
as for a second team leader, maybe we can nominate and vote in our respective teams, bench-warmers included.

Can someone explain why there needs to be a bench warmers team? I know some of said we probably won’t have 40 pages done or anything but as long as we are creating something then isn’t that the point?

So if there are 3 teams everyone interested gets assigned to a team? I know if I participate I am not going to do challenges because I am theme scrapping and gotta use what I have for those themes. Does each team then have its own thread to post layouts/cards/etc on? At the end there is a tally?
I might like to join. I am home from surgery and it went better than I thought, so I should be able to make both of my April crops. I'll say 20 freestyle layouts per crop in case one crop is cancelled for some reason.
I'll see how the rules turn out and if it's something I can commit to for a team.

I don't mind being a team leader grammadee but I'm good with whatever happens. On UKS the teams weren't serious or anything. It was just a monthly thing and one team would win, I don't think most people were serious about things. Back in the day you used to have to be on a team to be able to take part in things like circle journals and swaps. The teams were made up of 10 people and first come first allocated to a team so sometimes a team would have to wait for more people to join up to make up their 10. The teams were good, you would end up great friends with these people and most went on retreats together etc. There used to be a real thriving scene on UKS way back in the day. It was the UK version of 2Peas, without the shop attached. I am so struggling to scrap this month after being so prolific last month! Hopefully May will bring the mojo back again
