That doesn’t make an iota of sense. Why would she be faithful to a Republican when she’s a Democrat?! If he wished to analogize the act to adultery, why didn’t he pick a Republican who doesn’t vote for everything Trump?

More: Now we know ............ Sure saved a lot of $$$$, screw the dedicate career staff! Rex Tillerson's $12 million army of consultantsThe cost-cutting former Secretary of State had grand ambitions for a department ‘redesign,’ but its clearest impact is a huge bill for consultants, some of whom charged more than $300 an hour. By NAHAL TOOSI 04/05/2018 05:00 AM EDT The figures, included in materials obtained by POLITICO and confirmed in part by a State Department spokesperson, have not previously been reported. Most of the money has gone to the consulting firm Deloitte as part of a pre-existing federal contract whose ceiling was lifted to $265 million, an indication of the redesign’s ambitions. As many as 90 consultants worked on the project, according to one document. Many of the consultants have spent extensive time at the State Department, meeting with top officials, collecting and analyzing data, creating PowerPoint presentations and leading group discussions with skeptical employees. Tillerson initially set out to “transform” his department, according to one document, a goal that coincided with President Donald Trump’s attempts to slash by a third the nearly $60 billion a year the U.S. spends on the State Department and affiliated programs. In the face of fierce criticism from current and former department officials who saw the redesign as a secrecy-cloaked excuse for heavy-handed cuts, Tillerson eventually scaled back the plan to focus on modernized technology and better management practices. But he did not survive long enough to see much of it implemented: Trump fired Tillerson, with whom he never clicked, on March 13. The problem is that it won't hit before the midterm elections, and much will be forgotten by 2020 or they will be willing to give THEM another chance at our country's expense!

Kyle Griffin...
“The State Department spent around $12,000,000 on private consultants for Rex Tillerson's much-touted agency "redesign," according to documents obtained by Politico.
In some cases, the consultants charged more than $300 an hour.”
So he gutted the State Department of its expertise for $300 hour consultations.

That's really not helpful unless there is something to compare to. I can imagine Obama's and other state dept's using high-priced consultants from time to time. What is the normal run rate for private consultants at State?

What is the normal run rate for private consultants at State? $12M in one year? That is a lot of consulting in a short period of time. Plus a lot of career diplomats with expertise in certain areas of the world were pushed out, retired, and not replaced.

Well this is interesting from Ruby Cramer...
“Bernie in Jackson, Miss.: "The business model, if you like, of the Democratic Party for the last 15 years or so has been a failure.. People sometimes don't see that because there was a charismatic individual named Barack Obama." (1/2)”
"He was obviously an extraordinary candidate, brilliant guy. But beyond that reality," Sen. Sanders says, Democrats have lost a record no. of legislative seats.“
Seems old Bernie slammed President Obama on MLK50 day. How to make friends and influence people. If you want the vote of Democrats don’t trash President Obama.
What Bernie doesn’t get is while there is some truth in what he says about the “ Democratic business model”, what he is offering would be just as damaging to this country as trump & The GOP’s actions are today.
Sorry Bernie Bros who visit this thread but I want the next Democratic President to be in the position to get stuff done which means he/she needs to be more toward the middle to have any chance.

Bernie doesn’t have room to speak—he only pretended to be a democrat just to get their backing and use their resources, and succeeded in further division of the party.

If one did not vote for Trump but supports everything/defends him on a daily basis, would you consider that person a Trump supporter or not? supporting his policies and defending him- isn't that pretty much the textbook definition of 'supporter' ?? If not, I don't know what is. I don't think voting factors into the definition at all.

We can’t afford to pay teachers a living wages, and we can’t protect our children in school, but we can afford to send all these troops to guard a border. It’s outrageous. ^^^ But CAN we afford it?? a question- if the proclamation is actually just a request for GOVERNORS to send THEIR national Guard troops to "defend" the wall, then isn't it the STATES who will be paying for them, then, and not the federal government? I'm sure Arizona has gobs of extra money laying around in the budget that the governor would love to spend on sending troops to the border for... what, exactly?!? I'm not sure what purpose they're supposed to serve, actually, besides salving Trump's ego.

trump ....
“Still Rising: Rasmussen Poll Shows Donald Trump Approval Ratings Now at 51 Percent”
In response John O Brennan...
“I served 6 Presidents, 3 Rs & 3Ds. I directly supported Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama. While I didn't agree with all their policy choices, I admired and respected all of them, as they put country above their personal interests. Not so with you, as your self adoration is disgraceful”
As much as trump thinks he is adored and respected, he’s not. I believe the reason people on the right turn a blind eye to trump’s actions is “because they won” and as such they practice “motivated ignorance”. That is a term I read a trump supporter said she does to all the news swirling around trump. At least she was honest.

before and after tuesday's election here... "Blue Wave" Hits Wisconsin
ETA I just read (somewhere-no link) that 4,000,000, that's FOUR MILLION, 4 with six zeroes, people will turn 18 and be eligible to vote before the Nov 2016 election. Hope they all exercise it.... When I marched a few weeks ago the teens were all talking about registering and voting. I really think they are going to show up in YUGE numbers.

It's kind of shocking how much awful gets lost in the unending stream of horrid that he unleashes on this country. He's a monster, and that's an understatement.

Kyle Griffin...
“Sources tell CBS News that, last year, Scott Pruitt wanted to use his vehicle's lights/sirens in D.C. traffic, but the lead agent in charge of his security detail said no. Less than 2 weeks later, that agent was removed from Pruitt's detail and reassigned.”
Just why would the head of the EPA need to use lights and sirens to go anywhere? I mean really. Entitled much.

If not, I don't know what is. I don't think voting factors into the definition at all. From John Pavlovitz “You may want to ask yourself why you’re more willing to protest those who protest, than you are to speak into the injustice itself; why the only thing you feel burdened to openly resist is our resistance. You may be fighting the wrong battle here. If you’re more outraged by the tone of this President’s critics, than by his bigotry, dishonesty, misogyny, racism, and environmental recklessness—you’re enabling him, you’re normalizing him, you’re encouraging him.”

For the same reason he needed the $43,000 soundproof booth to talk on the phone IN his office, fly first class/military and private jet, pay only $50 per day in a apt, give substantial raises to his assistants, 24 hr security, covered to go to Rose Bowl and Disneyland with family, travel with his long time assistant to Morocco(questionable) and she just abruptly resigned ..... Want more?

And yet I just heard on the radio that if he has to step down as head of the EPA, Trump is considering him (Pruitt) as a possible replacement for Jeff Sessions!?!
Apparently the ability to say "yes, Mr. Trump; that sounds great!" and to pucker up and kiss Trump's (lumpy and saggy) ass are the ONLY requirements for any position in this administration.
