“hy·poc·ri·sy həˈpäkrəsē/Submit noun the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense. synonyms: dissimulation, false virtue, cant, posturing, affectation, speciousness, empty talk, insincerity, falseness, deceit, dishonesty, mendacity, pretense, duplicity; More”
Example...
Shannon Watts..
“Once again, the @nra will not allow attendees to be armed in the convention center when keynotes are speaking.
I call on @dloesch to forfeit this constraint during her own speaking event since she wants us to believe she’d be safer if she is armed while delivering her speech.”
But the NRA is ok with guns in our schools.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong in a convention center full of responsible gun owners all carrying a weapon? Bad guys wouldn't have a chance, right?

but,, but.. but......she's a conservative....you liberals shouldn't be liking conservative policies...you know the rules Lol! We’re not the GOP. We’re allowed to have our own opinions and disagree with each other. The conservatives in this country are as far removed from the GOP, as they are now, too.

trump... “The U.S. has put together a STRONG bid w/ Canada & Mexico for the 2026 World Cup. It would be a shame if countries that we always support were to lobby against the U.S. bid. Why should we be supporting these countries when they don’t support us (including at the United Nations)?” Unbelievable. Bloody unbelievable. He has no clue on how the world works. No clue whatsoever. well duh...... numerous countries put in bids and someone wins. ... Probably not us, because he will not allow many to have Visas to come here or they are on HIS attempted travel ban! Soccer/football is very popular all over the world!

linkI know a lot has been said about Cambridge Analytica but most of the focus, IMO, was how they got the data instead of what they did with it. There are, I think, a couple of interesting points worth pointing out. From the Daily Kos... Two years before the election—and at the same time as Russian operatives were setting up their cyber-warfare operation to interfere in the upcoming American election—Donald Trump’s campaign CEO Steve Bannon was using Cambridge Analytica’s social media tools to test American receptiveness to messages promoting Russian president Vladimir Puttin and “Russian expansion.” Cambridge Analytica and the firm’s relationship with Steve Bannon has largely drifted out of the headlines, replaced by more recent outrages. But information continues to appear showing that Steve Bannon had a very special reason for creating the US company in the first place: Yes," Wylie responded, according to the transcript released by the Democrats. "If by that term you mean discouraging particular types of voters who are more prone to voting for Democratic or liberal candidates, if that’s what you mean by that term, then yes." Under Bannon’s instruction, the firm discussed Putin with focus groups and was “also testing images of Vladimir Putin and asking questions about Russian expansion in Eastern Europe,” [Christopher] Wylie said.Wylie, a former Cambridge Analytica employee who helped implement the tools that made the company invaluable to the Trump campaign, spoke to Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee. He was one of several witnesses Democrats had asked to call, before Republicans leading the committee abruptly shut down the House investigation and pushed out their memo saying that they had found no evidence of collaboration between the Trump campaign and Russia. It was Wylie who previously revealed Cambridge Analytica’s use of stolen Facebook data. He also highlighted how, in addition to Putin, the company had been testing Trump’s test phrases, like “build the wall” and “drain the swamp” a year before Trump announced as a candidate. In addition to laying the groundwork for the Trump agenda, and spreading the red carpet for Vladimir Putin, Bannon had one other big task for Cambridge Analytica. Cambridge Analytica whistleblower Christopher Wylie told House Democrats that former Trump campaign strategist Steve Bannon used the firm's research to discourage Democrats from voting in the 2016 election, according to testimony released Wednesday. That’s a task that was likely made easier because Republicans had their hands on Democratic turn-out models. Models stolen from the DNC by Russian operatives.
There’s little doubt that Bannon and Cambridge Analytica went after voters by race. Yes," Wylie responded, according to the transcript released by the Democrats. "If by that term you mean discouraging particular types of voters who are more prone to voting for Democratic or liberal candidates, if that’s what you mean by that term, then yes." But they had more detailed information. They had the Facebook profile information of up to 85 million Americans, and they had something else More impressed after studying the voter-turnout models, [Republican consultant Aaron Nevins] told the hacker, “Basically if this was a war, this is the map to where all the troops are deployed.”
At another point, he told the hacker, “This is probably worth millions of dollars." Bannon knew where to aim. He spent years honing his weapons. And he started firing long before election day. For Donald Trump … and for Putin. It was the only foreign issue, or foreign leader, I should say, being tested at the time I was there,” Wylie told Democrats from the House Judiciary and Oversight committees, according to excerpts the lawmakers released today drawn from a Tuesday briefing with Wylie. Under Bannon’s instruction, the firm discussed Putin with focus groups and was “also testing images of Vladimir Putin and asking questions about Russian expansion in Eastern Europe,” Wylie said.

Gowdy admits Americans should not trust House Intel Comm review of Russia collusion—should trust Mueller instead:
House Commtee is “what you should NOT have confidence in. Have confidence in the Exec Branch investigations and if Mueller finds stuff, more power to him”

The Hill... “Republican rep worries 'assassination risk' prompting lawmaker resignations”
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) floated the idea on Friday that Republicans may be retiring from Congress, because of the threat of violence and assassinations. In an interview on the "Dale Jackson Show," Brooks suggested that residual fears from a shooting at a Republican congressional baseball practice in June may be prompting GOP lawmakers to step down. " One of the things that's concerning me is the assassination risk may become a factor," Brooks said, according to Roll Call."You have to wonder with that kind of disproportionate retirement number whether what happened in June played a factor," he added. He pointed to the fact that several members of the Republican baseball team were among those retiring from Congress, including Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) and Rep. Dennis Ross (R-Fla.). Brooks acknowledged that many of his colleagues who have announced their retirements may not cite threats of violence among their reasons for leaving Washington, but said that the number of retirements is "out of whack." "I don't think any of these people who are retiring would say that, but just looking at the numbers," he said. "That's out of whack." Brooks comments came days after the Republican baseball team held their first practice of the year at the same field in Alexandria, Va. where a gunman opened fire on a group of GOP lawmakers in June. That attack left five people wounded, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), who was injured critically. The gunman was identified as an Illinois man and left-wing activist, who was reportedly angry with President Trump and the Republican majority in Congress.”

Think one of his comments was just close your legs, or was it you can prevent getting pregnant by willing it not to happen or was it rape prevented pregnancy.......... Sorry I wasn't paying as much attention back then...... It isn't the democrats carrying all the guns around...... they need to look closer to home!! And also consider their leader who said his followers would stay with him if he shot someone in the middle of 5th Ave...

They said two of the phones are Blackberrys, so he may be just a phone hoarder who doesn't discard his old phones. Good thought add another 3 or so. But a dozen? Not throwing away phones for 6 years, assuming 2 new phones a year? My husband keeps all of his phones due to his job. We don’t get rid of phones, hard drives, etc. I even have palm pilots, drives me nuts but I understand because if someone has sensitive material on devices, they want to keep them around.

Well, I for one am just thrilled that Cohen kept all of his old phones and that the FBI now has them. There may be tons of criminal activities that the FBI will now be able to prove. I just hope there are lots of old texts between Cohen and trump.

That's what I do, smash them to smitherines and put out part of the debris in three different weeks trash. My friend once gave me detailed instructions to get into her house with codes and phone numbers. After I left her house for the final time, I ripped up the paper and stopped at three different Sonics to toss the papers. No one was finding those numbers on my watch!

linkFrom Newsweek... HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE REPORT RECOMMENDS REPEALING LAW THAT EXPERTS SAY TRUMP CAMPAIGN VIOLATEDFrom the article... “House investigators have released a highly anticipated report on Russia’s election interference. Among the recommendations in the report, the lawmakers called for the repeal of a federal statute barring private citizens from negotiating with foreign countries for the United States without authorization.Friday’s report by the House Intelligence Committee came almost two months after the panel said it had finished its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and possible links to political campaigns. Investigators found no evidence that President Donald Trump’s campaign coordinated with Russia, the report said, a finding that the president was quick to point out on Twitter on Friday.” Ok, why should it be ok for me to negotiate with a foreign country for the United States with out authorization? What am I missing here?
