I guess because they can't make us work for it! But our wonderful president said that he would NOT touch Medicare or Social Security.
They want the poor/low income and elderly dead! That's me!

Serious question. What would someone need 2 extra phones for...much less 16? The only things coming to my mind have to do with nefarious movie and crime book plots. I can see 1 personal and 1 business. Okay, maybe in a "just in case it breaks" phone. That's 3. An additional one for more than one business. Not convenient to carry, but give him the benefit of the doubt. That's 4. We've still got a dozen more to go.

Not throwing away phones for 6 years, assuming 2 new phones a year?

Not throwing away phones for 6 years, assuming 2 new phones a year? I can see this as possible. Cell phones have been common since the early 2000's, that's 18+ years. If you went through my house right now, i think you could dig up 7 phones. 4 are the old flip phone styles, one old smart phone, and then the two iPhones we are currently using. We now trade-in our iPhones when we get a new one, but trading in phones is relatively new. We still have our old flip phones because we didn't have the option to trade them in. I guess we should really recycle them. I see bins for that at Target.

As someone who routinely purges things I did not consider the sheer number a true possibility. Thanks for the different perspective I still find the number of phones suspicious, but not nearly as much of an impossibility.

“The U.S. has put together a STRONG bid w/ Canada & Mexico for the 2026 World Cup. It would be a shame if countries that we always support were to lobby against the U.S. bid. Why should we be supporting these countries when they don’t support us (including at the United Nations)?”
Unbelievable. Bloody unbelievable.

Maybe parts of the US could be put into "foster care" with their former owners until this Trump mess is over. He's clearly an unfit parent. England can take the original 13 colonies, Spain can have Florida, France the Louisiana Purchase territories, Mexico can take Texas and most of the southwest ... just until things settle down and a responsible adult is in charge again. You'll have to sort out Massachusetts though because we're not having our tea thrown away again! You can't do that to a Brit, it's cruel Aw, we won't toss it away. I'd love to go to England, but we'll have to bring the Dunkin Donuts franchise with us! It's what Massachusetts runs on now.

Dewryce and Lucy, didn't mean to offend you. I just thought the similarities were funny. Wasn't considering weight or the eye thing.

This from trump...
“Is everybody believing what is going on. James Comey can’t define what a leak is. He illegally leaked CLASSIFIED INFORMATION but doesn’t understand what he did or how serious it is. He lied all over the place to cover it up. He’s either very sick or very dumb. Remember sailor!”
Prompted this from Paul Waldman...
“I think what's going on here is that someone told Trump he can personally declassify whatever he wants, and he mistakenly took that to mean that every document or piece of information in government is classified unless he says it isn't.”
I think he’s right.
By the way, does anyone know what “remember sailor” means?

By the way, does anyone know what “remember sailor” means? My first quick thought is Adm Jackson!?!?!? But on thinking about it he is not likely to care for Jackson for long.

Unfortunately no one can explain where these kids are.. I wonder their ages. How will they, the kids, know who they are, where and when they were born? What happened to NOT separating families, or did these kids arrive alone? Federal officials lose track of nearly 1500 migrant children in USBY JOHN BOWDEN - 04/27/18 08:56 AM EDT Federal officials lost track of nearly 1,500 unaccompanied migrant children last year after they were placed in the homes of adult sponsors, officials told the Senate on Thursday. Limited budgets for tracking migrant children after they are placed in foster homes led to the Department of Health and Human Services losing track of as many as 1,475 children who could not be accounted for after HHS officials attempted welfare checks, according to an Associated Press report of the testimony. Between October and December of last year, HHS officials completed welfare checks on 7,635 migrant children the agency says are living with adult sponsors in the U.S. Of those 7,635 children, 6,075 were still living with their sponsors, 28 had run away, five had been deported and 52 were living with someone else. The rest were completely unaccounted for, the agency admits. The AP reports that Republican Sen. Rob Portman (Wis.) has given HHS until Monday to deliver a time frame to Congress for improving the agency's monitoring capabilities. “These kids, regardless of their immigration status, deserve to be treated properly, not abused or trafficked,” said Portman. “This is all about accountability.” Other senators at the Senate subcommittee hearing blasted HHS officials for negligence. “You are the worst foster parents in the world. You don’t even know where they are,” said Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.). “We are failing. I don’t think there is any doubt about it. And when we fail kids that makes me angry.”“Given all that we learned in 2015 and 2016, it’s unacceptable that we can still be this bad at keeping track of these children,” added Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) Officials also told senators in the hearing that while HHS is unable to locate all migrant children supposedly in the agency's care, it does assist with the Department of Homeland Security in its deportation initiatives. “DHS has worked closely with the Trump administration and members of Congress to address existing ‘loopholes’ that allow individuals to exploit our immigration laws,” said DHS undersecretary James McCament. thehill.com/latino/385148-federal-officials-lose-track-of-nearly-1500-migrant-children-in-us

We’re allowed to have our own opinions and disagree with each other. Speaking of which, there’s scuttlebutt on Twitter about a ton of firings at RedState last night, including Erick Erickson. The reason? They were not supportive enough of Trump. Yikes.

Newsweek...
“Anderson Cooper rips into Trump: President is "like a crazy person on a park bench with an onion tied to his belt" bit.ly/2r5mbsl”
This is, I think, in response to trump’s rant or meltdown yesterday on Fox & Friends. And after listening to the part about the $700,000 I don’t disagree with his assessment.
