I agree. I lurk more than I post, but I've learned so much and I really enjoy all the view points.

I also agree with everything said above. I don't post a lot but love reading what other people think. It's great to see other people's perspectives.

I too agree. I am not nearly as obnoxious as I was before joining this board.

So true. Very grateful for this resource. How many of us have friends or family members that don't know about this place personally, but know its importance to us enough to counsel us to "go ask the Peas"? Exactly. My family says, "Go ask those imaginary friends of yours." SaveSave

This place taught me it's perfectly ok to flush public toilets with your feet.

When I was having a big dilemma last weekend, my husband's first suggestion was "Go ask the Peas." And I did! And you helped! Don't know exactly what kind of person I would be if I hadn't spent the past 19 years rubbing shoulders with the Peas, but I know I'd be a lot more ignorant and a lot less compassionate. ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/love.jpg.gif)

ME TOO!
I have a friend going through a difficult separation and her not so DH is really putting her through the wringer. I am tapping into my pea memory for all the advice I dole out when she asks - I have read way too many divorce/cheating threads to not know exactly what to say.
I also find that I am more open to other view points. I appreciate that when I post here by and large it is completely supportive even if someone disagrees, I'm always given another perspective to look at. It really has affected the way I handle situations IRL.

Many reconcile and you can never get people to change their judgments on him and you. She took my advice and even stopped telling me details! He was a pastor, so the peas' advice saved my friend a lot of problems I'm sure.

This place is a staple in my life. Even when life gets busy, I check in. The advice is top-notch, and the fights have renewed my love of popcorn. 😁

most definitely. I was just talking to my dh the other day about how different I am than my family and the people I was raised with. I literally don't know where I'd be right now if the peas hadn't been there. I started participating when I was 19 and some of the women here seriously taught me how to be an adult. Waves hello to Steph! You look fabulous. I always loved you on NSBR. You're resilient. Funny. Smart. So glad to see you!

As someone who started on the 2peas board in trolling fashion, I hung around because the women of the board were so funny, so smart, and of course, the drama was enticing. Not sure how I was ever able to break away totally from it. Oh yeah, Facebook. But I also learned a lot in my time there. And it's really, really nice to see the familiar names here. I realize now how much I missed everyone.

Me, too, me too! Plus, this new board is SO much nicer than the old board. Nearly everyone is friendly and helpful and even when some may be a bit harsh, it's helpful.

I'm not here a lot or able to participate a lot, but the information here and the different sides of views out here are amazing. one thread, that I reference and still talk about to this day is the one Too Soon? I cant believe how many people really begin to accept and understand these situations, after I talk about what was talked about here. Its been a huge asset to me.

You ladies walked with me through the most difficult time of my life. You let me vent and share my heart. You gave an ear, a shoulder, encouragement, advice, wisdom, prayer. You’ve wept with me, laughed with me, celebrated with me, validated me, and honored me. So grateful.

I feel the same. And as silly as this sounds, just knowing that the peas will always be here is one of the things that is making me feel braver as I gear up to move to another state without bringing anyone with me. I do have three friends that live in various cities in Oregon, but they are not in a city that I am contemplating. I like knowing that if it takes me a while to build friendships in my new town, I will have the peas for companionship until I do. As someone who made a bigger move than you - international, to a country where I did not speak the language - and with only my DH, I want to give you some encouragement. Life is an adventure, and when we can bravely move ahead - I disagreed with someone who called me brave just before my move, but it is true - we can discover so much about ourselves and the world. EXACTLY what Sue said. People have called me brave for doing this move with my family. Truth was that I was scared. Scared my son especially would not cope well. But we have all flourished and had soooo many life changing experiences that I sometimes ask myself why did it take us so long to do it. My aunt that raised me gave me the BEST advice that is my life law....bloom where you are planted! Good luck to you! PM if ever you need advice or just need a Pea friend.

Forgot to add how much I appreciate you all as well. There are so many conservative and liberal Peas here that I respect. It is an incredible community that we have!

Ditto to above! I have been a member for 17+ years, more of a lurker than a poster. I have grown so much as a person. Such a great a cross section of the world on this board, also plenty of enabling going on. I have gotten so many gift ideas and referrals to other blogs, I think the Peas were most of the early Pioneer Woman readers.
