UPDATE: Going To Hospital And Could Use Prayers,

UPDATE: First and foremost, Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of the prayers and positive thoughts! I am happy that the antibiotics worked and I am now home!
I was admitted on Tuesday night and I have very wonky veins. Before being admitted, they took blood to see if they could figure out the strain of the infection. It was taken in the inner elbow of my right arm. I am right handed. So the ER nurse used that vein for the IV. It was uncomfortable but not bad. I was put in a holding room out of the ER for about an hour. Then moved to my room at 11:30 at night. The IV alarm kept going off which meant the nurse had to come reset it each time. I kept my arm totally straight but it would go off for no reason. I kept apologizing.
The next morning I was able to sit in a chair and the tubing was straightened out. The alarm never went off. I was roommates with an 82 year old woman named Irene who was so sweet. She left late Wednesday afternoon. I was seen by an infectious disease doctor and a regular doctor. They tested again for MRSA. They told me I was going to be there until today (Thursday) or tomorrow (48 to 72 hours). I was shocked. They took blood yesterday and today to compare infection numbers. The swelling in my face is gone. I no longer look like I have a softball sitting on my cheek. The redness on my face is now a very slight pink. I am now going to be on oral antibiotics for the next two weeks.
Sorry this turned out to be a long post. I could really use your prayers and positive thoughts.

I had some skin tags removed on March 17th from under my left eye, left cheek and forehead. On March 21st infection started. On 22nd and 23rd, NorEaster hit. On 24th, Friday I went to doctor. I was started on antibiotics and sent to the hospital for a CT scan. The CT Scan showed no infection in the actual eye.
Over the weekend the infection began to spread and by Monday night entire left side of face and neck was covered to my hairline and all the way to the back of my neck. I was in pain, my face was hot and I was so swollen that my eye was swollen shut. I went back to doctor Tuesday morning. He added 2nd antibiotic and said if not better by Friday, for me to call the office and he was going to have me admitted to hospital. My face began to get better.
But on Easter Sunday, it became worse again. I went back to doctor last Monday and because I had 4 1/2 days of antibiotics left, he was afraid that if I was admitted to the hospital that my insurance wouldn’t pay for my stay. So I finished my antibiotics on Friday morning and was supposed to see him yesterday. An hour before my appointment the office called to say he had an emergency and left the office. No other doctors were available to see me.
Today, I saw my doctor in the same practice and the infection is still on my cheek area and all around my left eye (above and below). So my doctor is sending me to the ER for a 24 hour stay of antibiotics. Hopefully this does the trick.
