We put in long days of yard work this weekend.. first nice weather we've had in ages... and I didn't manage to cook the pot roast I was supposed to so it's in the oven right now. We'll have mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, and steamed carrots with it.

Well, I made it through another Monday of my program ... I'll come out of this process with a firm medical diagnoses for my mental illness ... something I have never really had which is shocking considering my past We did a really nice meditation exercise today ... I love guided meditations - especially the body scan style ones The plan was to have leftover roast beef etc. tonight but I'm just not feeling it ... dh is in a meeting and isn't home for awhile so I texted him to see if we could go out for my birthday dinner tonight instead of Wednesday (my actual birthday) ... I'm sure he'll agree

Grilling eckridge sausage with onions, squash, zucchini, new potatoes, and mushrooms. Made a batch of mustard crack to dip with. It’s nice and warm here so going to attempt to eat on the patio. It’s a meal that just begs for a cold beer.

I couldn’t shut up my brain and quit looking at the other people. Lol. I totally failed

jeremysgirl I like the quote. Your moms kitchen sounds way to dark for me. Especially considering I just had white cabinets and white subway tile put in. We had leftovers from yesterday.

It was SUPPOSED to be mongolian beef in the crockpot, but I forgot and wasn't in the mood to assemble before work, so I made a crustless quiche for dinner. It was pretty good, actually. I made ham and cheddar tonight but we will try some other combos. It strangely has no instructions for seasoning beyond the rosemary, so I think next time I will add my crazy mixed up salt (which is normally what I add to scrambled eggs) to the egg mix before baking. Tomorrow we will have the mongolian beef, and I am glad I came to this thread today so I would remember I need to buy potstickers to go with the beef. (It was Trixie Bender 's egg roll post that reminded me I have no tasty sides.)

I’ve tried several times but I just can’t stop the other stuff in my head!

I learned TM (transcendental meditation) when it was trendy in the late 70's. I need to get back to it. When I do it I can meditate successfully and get quite relaxed. When I do guided meditation I get anxious and can't focus. FTR, The TM program now is about $1k. Yikes. It was much cheaper back then. leannec , Having a diagnosis and if necessary the right meds will make your life so much better. jeremysgirl , I love your lampshade. Do You! No one else matters. tuesdaysgone , I hope that your walk cured the blahs and that you are feeling much better now.

Hi. I am ok. Whatever I was taking sure wasn't right. My GP said the drugs can stop working at any given time. We are just going through a drug-free time now to see how things go. I feel like I am not cloudy-headed any longer. You also have to feel everything instead of masking symptoms. For now I will see.
Tonight I made bbq chicken with fresh pierogis and they were jalapeño and I hate spicy food. Oops that was a fail. They were different from Ukrainian ones. Tomato was outstanding, avocado was sooo good and the chicken was great. Those pierogies though, they were an epic fail. You couldn't taste the cheese or potato because there was too much vegetable in them from the jalapeño. Yuck.
