Wow, Trump truly is the turd that keeps on turding. That's all I got to say.
I'm just going to sit here and wait to see how the altered vote registration data story develops.

I have to disagree -- her supposition about statistics doesn't have a strong basis. Statistical analysis is too easily manipulated, especially given the bad input numbers from inaccurate polls. Someone who has a PhD in statistics should know better than to use that argument. That said, I think that we should be investigating the crap out of Russian interference. I need more evidence than crappy pre-election poll numbers though. Keep following that Russian money. It's going to take them all down in the end.

This is massive - what will happen now, because something will happen, won't it??? Interesting. I thought the surgical gerrymandering and pandering to specific groups (ie conservative Cuban Americans in Florida) was what did it. Silly me for being so naive. Election tampering is so much easier, and now we see that his money exchanger, aka attorney Cohen, was the guy who greased the machine.

CBS...
“JUST IN: Vice Pres. Mike Pence on Americans released from North Korea: "Thanks to President Trump’s tough minded diplomacy, three Americans held hostage in North Korea are coming home." abcn.ws/2KNc4Bl”
Bullshit. This is exactly what happens in negotiations of this kind. It was an act of good faith on a North Korea’s part. This would of happened regardless of who was president.
And inspite of trump wanting people to believe all three of these individuals were taken during President Obama’s time, as most of the crap out of his mouth, its not true. One was taken during President Obama's time and two under trump’s.
But the good news is they are free.

linkThe Hill... “Trump threatens to remove news networks' press credentials over negative coverage” From the article... “President Trump early Wednesday suggested taking away news networks' press credentials over "negative" coverage. "The Fake News is working overtime. Just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 91% of the Network News about me is negative (Fake)," Trump wrote on Twitter. "Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt? Take away credentials?" I don’t care what side you are on, talk like this from a United States President should be unacceptable. I’m just getting so tired of all his lies.

ABC News....
“CIA Director nominee Gina Haspel: "I did my part, quietly and through hard work, to break down some of those barriers...It is not my way to trumpet the fact that I am a woman up for the top job at CIA—but I would be remiss in not remarking on it." abcn.ws/2KMnTry”
I could care less that she is a woman. My concern is if she supports torture. If so, to me, she is disqualified.

I do care that she is a woman and feel strongly that we need more well qualified and well suited women in all fields and especially in positions of power. However, for me that doesn't mean hiring only because she is a woman and forgiving all else. Is that what you're seeing, a push for her based only on her sex?

Richard Grenell....
“As @realdonaldtrump said, US sanctions will target critical sectors of Iran’s economy. German companies doing business in Iran should wind down operations immediately.”
Richard Grenell is the new US Ambassador to Germany. Is that a threat?

I am not sure if it is a threat, but I can tell you that Germany's politicians are seriously unimpressed. Germans willing to listen, but . . . From the Article: Grenell’s tweet was met with immediate scorn from the German political establishment. Wolfgang Ischinger, German ambassador to Washington from 2001 to 2006, responded on Twitter by giving "advice" of his own. “Germans are willing to listen, but will resist taking instructions,” he wrote.

To me that one statement above is her “playing the woman’s card”. That is what trump and company want to try and do is bully the Democrats in the Senate to support her because if they don’t they are hypocrites. I have no doubt she is qualified to run the CIA because she wouldn’t be where she is today if she wasn’t. But it has been reported that she supports torture and involved in the operations where torture was done. I’m siding with John McCain on this. No torture, it doesn’t work, and as a country we are better than that. As such, IMO, she is not qualified to run the CIA. And I’m not willing to give her a pass because she is a woman.

Richard Grenell.... “As @realdonaldtrump said, US sanctions will target critical sectors of Iran’s economy. German companies doing business in Iran should wind down operations immediately.” Richard Grenell is the new US Ambassador to Germany. Is that a threat? I was just reading about this guy. He tweeted this mere hours after starting the job in Germany. It’s being perceived by Germany at worst as a threat and at best as direct instructions. Either way, a bad first day on the job. Tangent: Later in the article (WaPo) there’s this comparison to Trump’s Netherlands ambassador’s kerfuffle from several months ago. I remember it, but I don’t remember him getting caught in TWO lies “mis-statements” in one fell scoop. “ Grenell’s tweet was reminiscent of the awkward start of the U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands, Pete Hoekstra, last December, after a reporter asked him why he said there were “no-go” areas in the country, where radical Muslims are setting cars and politicians on fire. Hoekstra initially denied having made such comments and called the claim “fake news.” After realizing that there was video footage making those claims, he denied having used the term “fake news” just seconds before.”
Where do they find people with this level of arrogance?

Some highlights from the Haspel hearing.
Walter Shaub the Ethics guy....
“Sen. Martin Heinrich: Where was that moral compass at the time?
Gina Haspel: …. bureaucracy …legal …policy …orders
Sen. Martin Heinrich: You’re giving very legalistic answers to moral questions.”
&
“Sen. Angus King points out that Haspel herself is making the decisions about what information to declassify in connection with this hearing. Talk about your conflicts of interest.“
&
“Sen. Kamala Harris: Do you believe the previous interrogation techniques were immoral.
Gina Haspel: [refuses to give a direct “yes”or “no” answer]
Sen. Kamala Harris tries two more times, and Haspel refuses to answer.
Haspel recites what is legal.”

They have no idea about diplomatic behavior and it shows. (Including Nikki Haley. She has her strengths but she is universally considered to be clueless about diplomatic language/behavior.) “Plain talking” just gets you so far...

German companies doing business in Iran should wind down operations immediately.” Richard Grenell is the new US Ambassador to Germany. Is that a threat? That is why the USA leaving the deal is catastrophic: the sanctions imposed by the USA also affect those who do business with Iran. Anyone! Hence the predictions of the loss of access to vital resources like life-saving drugs, the further rise of an already established poverty and the likely radicalisation of a segment of the population which hasn't had a reason to so far. This is why it's disastrous. Other countries will be under the Trump thumb due to these sanctions. Who's going to keep doing business with Iran if that means they're completely shut off from the US market?
