I'm trying to figure out dinner for the next few days, and I'm wondering what everyone else in the world likes to eat. :-) Nothing special, no company, just nice dinner that you'd love to come home to.
A new favorite that I've made twice in about as many weeks is Emeril's recipe for Chicken Marsala. oh my WORD it's good. we had the leftovers for dinner last night. Not as pretty as the first time, but still delicious!
I can't wait to hear what YOU like to have for dinner, not just what our kids, DH's ask for. :-)

Just saw this thread and would love to see what others do too. At our house we have a rotation of favorites. This includes: "Pasta" which is Tomato Sauce and Pasta (according to the Italian I live with- I grew up saying Spaghetti), Salmon and Asparagus with Risotto; Home Made Pizza; Pork with Apples; Breaded Chicken with Mashed Potatoes; Shrimp Scampi; and many varieties of soup.

Well, in a PERFECT world, I like eating out WAY more than I like anything I make. I enjoy a good steak but am completely inept at cooking one. But I like this baked coconut shrimp; stuffed shells-- I kind of cobbled together a recipe from something else; peanut butter chicken (well, it's really grilled chicken with a peanut butter sauce); homemade alfredo sauce (my new favorite thing to make); and seafood nachos (which are made with that fake crabmeat so "seafood" is sort of a lie). Oh, and I have a recipe for mustard glazed chicken that's pretty good-- it calls for drumsticks, I've been making it with boneless skinless thighs, but I really ought to try it with chicken breast (I'm just not 100% sure on how to adjust the cook time).

A weekly favorite in our house, even with ultra picky DD8 is a pan fried pork chop, just adding salt and pepper. Quick, nutritious and delicious with a veggie on the side. I make this too! Another regular in our rotation is teriyaki glazed salmon with veggies and couscous. We also like to make a big steak salad - marinated steak with mixed greens, bell peppers, tomatoes, avocados, eggs, carrots, Italian squash - whatever veggies we have around. I also love anything from the Pioneer Woman, especially soups.

I love a pan fried pork chop....it's something my mom used to do....my family hates when I make them...they think it's too plain I guess... Sometimes, if I feel like getting jiggy with it, I'll fry a few apple slices in with them. i guess our go-to meal here would be either pasta, or meatloaf.

Chicken & waffles when I haven’t planned anything. Normally I pull out some meat from the freezer in the AM to thaw. I live in the middle of nowhere but we still prefer homemade meals over restaurant.
