Glad to hear you are scrapping away, dald222 . It's sad, isn't it, when you use up that last piece, mikklynn ? But it's not GONE. It is on a project your will enjoy for years... I am soldiering through the sketches. They are both an inspiration and a frustration. I would normally scrap somewhat in order, or at least finish one theme I am working on before moving on to the next, but I am finding myself jumping around from one event/experience to another as I find photos to use with different sketches. Some days it invigorates me to wake up to a new sketch. Some days it makes me feel like I am back in university and can't quite get caught up on assignments. Not sure why I feel that way: I never did set a goal to finish all the sketches. I have scrapped a LOT this month! Have shared 27 pages and 2 cards. Still have about half a dozen pages to share from the first week when I was at dd's house. Haven't touched Disney since I came home, but still have tons of photos from our Florida vacation to scrap. Working through the late August/fall photos now. It has been raining for a week, so haven't been out of the house much. Think I am done for the day today, though: the sun is shining and the garden is calling...

Why is blue (especially lighter than navy shades) so freaking difficult to match?! There are so many varieties...some have more blue, some have more green, some are more grey. It really took me over an hour just to put together a PL title card (that was pretty much a date label and stickers for the week numbers) because I had to test out every ink and alpha sticker in blue to find a couple of options that were decent. On the upside, I played with a lot of inks that I haven't touched in a while, a stamp set that I love but often forget to use AND I used an older SC alpha that I've had for who knows how long for the first time. Let's be real, though...I collect alpha stickers like I do just about everything else, so it's a coin flip as to whether or not I'll use a new sheet or a partially used one on any given day, lol. At least I have some blues picked out so I can use them for the rest of the spread without any trouble.

Still trying to plug away through my WITL album. I'm really starting to not like this project! I just am using AEs kit and there just isn't enough journaling cards for what I need and to be honest I'm not crazy for the colors anymore. Do get me wrong I liked the kit back when I bought it but now doing the album months later its just blah. I can't wait to be finished with it!

needtime2scrap I completely understand! Sometimes I work on a project for so long that I end up hating the project! That reason is also why I'm hesitant to buy full collections. By the time I've made 3 or 4 pages with the same colors and patterns, I am ready to move on.

By the time I've made 3 or 4 pages with the same colors and patterns, I am ready to move on. I am similar in that I don't use a single collection to shreds. Mostly because I like variety and I worry that everything will look the same (it's an irrational thought that hasn't left me since way back when I actually had so few supplies that this was a legitimate concern, but is not so much these days) and partly because I struggle to use my favorite pieces. If it's something I really really love then I buy 2 just to make sure I'll use one...and as I admit that to you all and to myself it's really hitting me just how impossible it is to actually use stuff up when you need one as a collection piece in order to force yourself to use it's twin.
To be fair, though, most of the things I feel that way about from years ago, I STILL feel that way about now. I'm glad I've used it, but also glad I have spares. Then there are those collection I bought 2 of just so I had both sides of paper that are 75% unused that I feel will haunt me for the rest of my life.

I buy collections and keep them in a 12.5 x 12. 5 baggie (most of my papers are stored like this). That way I can keep the paper and flat embellishments together. If I have something more 3-D, I put it on my Clip It Up or an 6 x 10.5 zippered envelope. I put a sticky note in the baggie to remind me I have more of the collection elsewhere. I f my collection dwindles down to scraps, I toss it.

Ugh work has been so busy my craft time has been significantly curtailed. I have made good progress with Christmas cards though. Have done the front panels and now just need to do card bases and stamp inside sentiments.

I've finished up the zoo pics from 2005 that I started scrapping years ago and forgot I never went back and finished. I've flipped through the rest of the 2005 layouts and I didn't see any more unfinished ones but there are a couple of places where I'm not sure if I printed everything - so that's on my list to check.
Working on DD18's college album (the photos she sends me from college mostly plus the ones I took at move-in)...I'm not used to scrapping so many one-photo layouts, lol.
Still waiting patiently for my photo library to copy over to the external drive...next time I'll do it folder by folder rather than all at once...

60% off albums at M's today, and they had 4 of the kind I use. Score! I'm off to J's in a few. Wish me luck ETA, meh, there was nothing new to excite me at JoAnn's.

msliz - that's awesome! Have fun at J.'s I'm still waiting patiently for my files to finish copying - currently estimating 13 hrs to go. In the meantime, I've caught up on the photos I've printed for DD18's college album and I've ordered more photos (random assortment of DD18's, DS26's, and a few 2018 family photos that weren't yet printed.

I have been purchasing the last few weeks and haven't put much away. I also have photos from the last trip out because I am looking for paper or kits for them. I have a detailed system of organization for some of my supplies and just haven't wanted to update some of it, so it all sits. I also have boxes of paper that need a home and my home is full. I am flying to Vegas tomorrow and HAVE to get this room cleaned. I never leave for a trip with this room a mess. And here is almost eleven o'clock and I haven't showered yet. I feel like I get less done when I have more time.

I decided I must have everything possible in my stash. I recently came up with paper covered in pineapples for a cute photo of DGD drinking a virgin pina colada!

I just reorganized my Christmas stash. Wow, what a collection! Did that stop me from ordering the latest Pebbles items with that cute little sloth? Heck no!

oaksong Christmas is one ONE holiday I don't have a huge stash of. A lot of Christmas lines just don't inspire me. I have a bunch of DD product, but not collections. There are a couple of collections this year that have caught my eye, though, including the new Crate Paper and Pebbles collections.

I just started making cards for the caring hearts drive. I asked a couple groups I belong to if they had my xmas paper they don't love to donate to my making. Got a good response. Last year I used up a lot of my stash. After Xmas last year I was looking for clearance paper but found none. So my stash is pretty low
I am going to a retreat a month from now thought this would be a good project to take.
Well today I got motivated and cut and scored and folded 150 card bases. I cut down pattern paper that I have for card fronts. And I have stamped the inside of 50 cards so far
I am out of 65 lbs Mike's white cardstock now. But I'm thinking at this rate I could make 300 cards this year
Going to see how it goes.

Made ANOTHER photo order and picked it up. And then last night when I was sorting photos from the last 3 orders into page protectors by layouts, I found MORE photos (for DS's album) that I hadn't ordered...so ordered those (mail order because DH is headed out of town on business and won't be available to pick up for me)

I've actually been able to get a little bit of scrapping done, but I can't take pictures of any of my pages. I have poor lighting in my room (dim and kind of yellowy), and it'll be cloudy/raining today and tomorrow. But I'll have a bunch of photos to post when the skies clear up!
How are you all doing?

I'm behind in photo taking too because I forget when it's light out (life is life) and when I have quiet time it's dark. So I'm making myself take some photos today. Of course, it's dim and rainy, but whatever. I also hope to get more layouts done today because it's dim and rainy! Alas, I can't weed or trim in the garden...
