Well, normally I would scrap on a day like today. Ds and family left early this morning. Dh will be busy helping his nephew with cattle most of the day, so I will have the house to myself.
But I am exhausted! Three days with little boys, plus a whole day outside yesterday, plus a couple of late nights and early mornings, and this gramma is feeling her age today!
And even that may not have stopped me, but I tend to scrap latest photos first, and I don't have the fun photos of my weekend adventures (or the Canada Day pic's sent to me by my other "kids") printed yet--nor any energy to go somewhere to print them (or to fight with my non techy self and too techy stuff to print at home).
So I am taking today to just relax and unwind. It is almost 8:30AM Is it nap time yet???

You definitely need a day off grammadee! Or are you really thinking you're on the winning team this month so you can kick back a bit?

I am not sure If I will get anything done this week. My Older brother surprised me with a week long visit (he lives in a different state) We are busy all day the 4th and then go camping the 5-7th. I might sneak in a small project or 2.

OK, my spot is here. My total for July is 29. I got 10 points for this layout. It feels strange to be getting so many points for one layout, but it meets challenges 7, 10, 12, 23, 24, 30, 32, 33, 35. This is my second layout, which only brought 4 points (oh noes!). It meets challenges 21 and 22. This layout is for 6 and 10. This is for challenge 10 and 21. This is for 3, 10, 11, 22. 33.

I like the new challenge format. Makes it so easy for me to print it out and keep it in the scraproom.

here are pics of my tuesday morning times 4 haul i realized after i put everything away (i.e. off my desk and back into bags!) that i forgot a few things, but nothing majorly exciting. i also didn't photograph a few adhesives i got or the SEVEN new albums i found--they were 20% off so like $3.60 or something like that. anyway, here are the photos. please excuse both the glare and the horrible mess everywhere. if you have any questions, i'll be happy to answer. hard to get all the stuff in the frame! my steals of the day (besides the albums) were the bo bunny glitter pastes in the first photo ($2.99) and the echo park ephemera packs in the third photo ($1.99). Looks like a whole lotta fun, stinkerbelle! Are those Prima paints? You are going to love them! I love the built in shimmer. If you put them down over gesso or some other less porous surface, you can spritz them with water and just watch the happiness happen! I have a birthday card to do for my ds. I have enough stuff here to work for Hallmark. No inspiration. Nada. Never did get that nap. Maybe that is part of the problem...

grammadee no paints, just some bo bunny glitter paste and a tube of heidi swapp texture paste in mint i did see some tim holtz paint daubers and picked some up but put them back down. i don't paint enough to need more than what i already have. which doesn't stop me buying paper...

Wow stinkerbelle what an awesome haul! I would be so excited to have all that, I see some awesome bits! The BoBunny paste, is that to use through a stencil? I just ordered a tub of some Nuvo glitter stuff to use with a stencil, I thought I'd try it. I do have some other Nuvo paste to use with stencils and it's pretty awesome. Love those AmyT Thickers, I could use the 'this happened' a million times I think and is that a punch and stamps with the feather & arrow? That looks so cool, who makes it? I would love that (for the arrow more than the feather)! Love the Maggie Holmes clips too - I often take the embellishment off the clip to use! I found the arrow.feather stamp & punch on Amazon and it's on it's way to me! I had to pay £11.87 ($15.58) for it and it's coming from the US but I am excited!

Well joy of joys, I've just been diagnosed with diabetes I had a second blood test a few weeks ago to check my sugar levels after they were high on a previous blood test. It's been about 3 weeks and I had no call from the doctors so I thought I'd got away with it but I got the call today. I am starting pills tomorrow so at least it's not at the checking levels and injections stage just yet and apparently I can reverse it with lifestyle changes. So I just ordered lots of books including Diabetes for Dummies! And it'll be diets and exercise for me from now on, blergh! I really hope I can tackle this with the determination and discipline that I tackled the Feb challenges and my A-Z challenge in May!

I am sure you will do well at keeping up new routines once you get them established. You may want to check your sugar levels for awhile to figure out what works best to keep them under control. Dh has type 2 diabetes and takes the pills. I can usually tell by his level of irritability what his blood sugars are.

Oh No kiwigirl. Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. You can definitely do this - a friend has Type 2 diabetes and manages to keep it under control with diet etc.

Great haul stinkerbelle. Enjoy your goodies! Ugh my week is a lot busier than I had hoped - wor=ked late 2 nights so far and tonight my cousin is coming to stay. I've got some ideas for projects but haven't made much of a start. So it'll be the weekend probably before I can get a couple of projects done.

once upon a time i bought a bunch of studio calico stuff in one of their giant sales. eventually i split all the kits up and made my own page kits with the stuff and have been working with some today.
i have come to the conclusion that SC either makes gorgeous paper or hideous paper. no in betweens with them. what's up with that??

Great haul stinkerbelle ! I need to check out TM here. kiwigirl that sucks! I’m sure you will do what it takes to reverse it. I’m pre-diabetic myself. But my Dr, while noting that on chart, never has mentioned it to me. Which leads me to believe she wants me to be full blown diabetic so she can push the pills. I’m working on lifestyle changes myself. I haven’t earned a point yet! Well I did finish a LO so one lol. My 3yo DGS has been in the hospital since Saturday so there has been no scrapping for me. He had an abscess drained and should be home Thursday. Tomorrow I should be able to go to work on some challenges!

i have come to the conclusion that SC either makes gorgeous paper or hideous paper. no in betweens with them. what's up with that?? So true! Either amazing or crap! I loved their Lemon Lush collection though, that had some beautiful papers. I subbed for maybe 3 years and have a load of their stuff around. I can't stand the company though so I hardly ever use it. I should just get rid of it all to be honest! joyfulnana good luck with making the changes you need. I am waiting on some books arriving today to start working on a new diet. I am not liking that I'll have to go low carbs, I love my carbs *sniff* but I'm hoping with diet & exercise as well as stopping smoking, I can knock this on the head. It's a lot to get my head around though! Hope your DGS is doing well, sounds a bit painful for the little guy! Hope you can get your scrap on soon
