kiwigirl , stinkerbelle , grammadee clarification on the ketchup challenge please Is it ONE point per layout regardless of how many previous challenges you meet or is it ONE point per layout for EACH of the previous challenges you meet? Thanks I am going to let stinkerbelle take this one. I have been claiming one point per project for #27 Ketchup if the project meets at least one previous challenge. If it meets more than that, I don't add extra points.

See I've claimed as many Ketchup challenges as I've met, so sometimes 3 or 4 per LO. We definitely need clarification! ETA: grammadee, I'm thinking since it was your original challenge that you should decide this one? And if you think we can only use one Ketchup challenge per LO then that's how it should be

grammadee i was doing it the way you said, just once per LO. but i agree with kiwigirl, it's your challenge so you should say

Okay, stinkerbelle, kiwigirl and Linda: I am going to call it then: Use the Ketchup challenge once per page or card or project, just like you would any other July challenge. No worries about adjusting any points claimed to date. Just count it this way from now on? Sorry for the confusion. Next time, I will make that more clear when placing the challenge.

grammadee - sounds good - thank you! and of course, since I posted the question, I haven't managed to 'ketchup' any points.

Halfway through the month. How's everyone doing?
I managed to pull up my socks and have 15 pages and a few cards (6?) done. Pretty much right on point to meet my July goals. Have photos pulled out and some stencilling done for a couple more pages so might get to those today. If not, I can put them together in the morning while dh is at an appointment.

Hey cristelina! Welcome to the thread. Was your holiday good? I am doing ok, done 8 DT LO's and a few others. I am excited for some new products (well, old products really) to arrive this week, some old Crate, My Minds Eye and Basic Grey and I'm hoping they will get me going again. I'm currently shuffling some papers on my desk but not getting anywhere.

I finished the last two 12x12 pages of DD's Universal vacation album (I'll post them tonight), but I have one brief story to fit in somewhere, and I don't know what to do with it. I'm thinking a 6x12 page? Then, done.

I have one more crop of a few hours at an LSS in Pennsylvania when I go to CKC at the end of the month. I'd like to get my current photos scrapped - that's about 10 layouts. I've already met my goal of 50 for the month. linda if you posted your layouts can you imagine how many points you would have?

I was just thinking that as I was looking at myboysnme's lovely layouts but I would have to scan all of them a second time with post-it notes or something over the faces and I would rather just scrap.

I don't have mobile phone just a landline (no camera on that. lol) and my camera is a dslr...it's just ends up being too complicated/too many steps for me to bother with (esp. since I scan all my layouts once a month or album is finished)

I hope you find a way to share your pages, Linda. When I couldn't share pic's of my dd's son (who was in foster-to-adopt at the time), I punched a little vellum heart and then just dropped that onto his face before taking a photo of the page for posting on line.

Does anyone else find they are consistently using certain challenges to work through their creative process? I think maybe this is why I'm more productive. Some choices that I used to phaff over I now just gloss over!
My process always starts with photos - and now I just choose vacation and outdoors photos. And now I just choose a manufacturer and run with it. I target watercolour. I try to use a pre-fab word title. And when I get to embellies, it's "ephemera, arrows, clips/stitch, dots".
So I'm getting excited for next month, and have already through of some challenges I want to remember to post. I'm listing them here so I remember them. 1. multi-person layout (photos and story must be about more than 1 person) 2. torn paper edges 3. use kraft paper (it's an oldie but a goodie!) 4. edge it - either ink edges or outline 5. pop-it-up - use pop dots/foam, or puffy/dimensional stickers. Anything that lifts off your page.

Those look like fun challenges for our future, kitbop! My process is usually pretty quick (except for this morning) b/c not only do I have the challenges in mind, but if I was working with them yesterday then I still have the papers and elements on top of my desk, so it is often only a matter of Grab, Glue and Go!

I have finished my pages for the month. Might get a couple more done if I get a bit of uninterrupted time. Still have a couple of cards I need to make. But most of my creative energy is going to be going into preserving berries and veggies over the next couple of weeks. But hoping to break 400 points before the end of the month.
Claiming a couple of organization points today, and I guess I can claim a ketchup point for the June RAK it challenge. Spent the morning going through stuff to put together an RAK package to send tomorrow.

kitbop I've been writing down challenges for August as well! And I'm the same, I lean towards things that will give me a point when I'm embellishing. The trouble is, it takes me a while to changeover from one month to the next, so I found in the first week or two of July, I was looking for things from last months challenges. It's like I need to delete those and download the new challenges to my brain at the start of the month!

Only 1 week left for July!!! I've noticed that other people posting LOs on the share thread has slowed down, and I too have not been scrapping as much. Do other people find their motivation wanes as the month gets to the end? I have to shake myself off and get into my scrap space! I can get a lot done in a week!

Is kraft paper a brand or a type of paper? I've never been sure. Is it that paper bag looking color?

Although different brands do have variations in the tone of the kraft paper - I prefer the lighter/less reddy krafts. It's very neutral.

Question about the "alphanumeric" challenge. Was the intention that we use BOTH numbers and alphas on a LO? That's how I read it but I might be missing points if it wasn't. Was the intention just for title-work or for whole design??? I've been struggling with this question for 2 weeks and should have asked earlier

I have been counting a point for any page/card that has letter stickers or number stickers anywhere on it. Have been thinking for a long time I would like to do a whole background with leftover stickers—all those x’s and q’s that never find their way off the sticker sheet—but have yet to do that...
