Only 1 week left for July!!! I've noticed that other people posting LOs on the share thread has slowed down, and I too have not been scrapping as much. Do other people find their motivation wanes as the month gets to the end? I have to shake myself off and get into my scrap space! I can get a lot done in a week! yes! for me it's usually the third week where i tend to peter out, then i notice oh crap, only one week left, and get back into my room for one last push at getting things done. doesn't happen every month (for instance i seem to be doing well this month), but it has been a pattern i've noticed. i know Linda posted somewhere she wants to use her stickers, so she started the challenge. i took it to mean alphas or numbers or both, but she'll need to clarify for us. i try and keep a running list of challenge ideas too! love the kraft one, i used to do kraft LOs all.the.time but lately my choice is white. so now i have a surplus of kraft and it will be great to have a lil kick in the pants to use it!

grammadee and kitbop - if you used numbers or letters or both from a sticker sheet or rub-on sheet anywhere on your card or layout - then you get points. The purpose of the challenge was to get us using our rub-ons and stickers alphas rather than just hoarding them (or is that just me, lol?)

I liked that challenge linda! I used to love number rub-ons and have a bit of a hoard of them. So I have used them a couple of times this month which is great! Thank you I just ordered almost everything from the new Amy Tangerine line to do my September DT LO's with. Quite excited to get that box!

have done all my "pre-made kits" so now I need to get some more together. It takes me FOREVER to design and layout. Here's an example. This one has been laying on my counter since Saturday - -

But when it is done, it looks professionally designed and created! Love how your two pagers always look so "put together!"

Or the things I always use as well

I just ordered almost everything from the new Amy Tangerine line to do my September DT LO's with. Quite excited to get that box! I can't wait to get my hands on that! Haven't ordered. I'm actually sitting here trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on an order from the Elle's Studio sale - that would bolster my stash - or spend the money on new stuff - in which case I'll get less, but newer coveted items. Sigh. Budget. linda - thank you! I need to go back and look for points then. I thought we had to use both to qualify

I just went to scrap and ended up doing 2 and a half hours organising lol! Put all my new stash in my desk organiser for doing DT LO's and put the old stash away and then I started fussy cutting some arrows out of a paper that I bought specifically to do that with but man, it's taking a while!

kiwigirl, I LOVE your work. Especially those Nuvo pages. Gorgeous. Your new stash looks amazing. I need to order the new Amy Tangerine line. Also, how is your diet going? I was diagnosed about a year ago. I am not on meds because my A-1 number was 6.5. I went to a 5 week training and it was awful. The nurse was not happy with me because whenever she would say "so what can you eat? I would say nothing. If she would say "it's great that you can eat all the green leafy vegetables you like" I would say"too bad they suck!" Anyhoo, I am still not on meds. I did keep track of my carbs. I have eliminated rice because it has a super high carb count. I would rather splurge on pasta than rice. I also found a low carb tortilla (only one smart point on weight watchers) that I really like. It took a while an a lot of wasted money before I landed on one that I didn't think was awful. Once I found low carb tortillas, chips and crackers that I liked, I just keep buying the same ones over and over. Also, I hate any non-white pasta. The texture is just off on all of them. So my favorite is zucchini noodles. I bought a spiralizer and have those instead of pasta. I don't cook them . I just put my homemade spaghetti sauce over them. Pretty yummy.

I am getting the diet down now. I decided to just focus on losing weight for the first few months cause that gives me a chance to reverse this. So I'm not worrying about my BG levels (but I do check and they have definitely come down from 2 weeks ago). Eventually I will start testing before and after everything I eat to see what makes it go up etc but not yet. I have totally cut rice, pasta and bread. Potatoes I have had a few baby new ones but these days I have 6-8 where as I used to probably have 30 (and I wonder why I'm in this mess now?). Yesterday I had a wholemeal tortilla wrap for lunch but it was so many carbs it's not really worth it. I will look for some low carb ones to try. I've switched to konjac rice or noodles instead of real ones cause they're almost 0 carbs, the rice is ok. I am getting recipes together that suit OH and I so I am just cooking 1 meal instead of 2 and that's helped a lot. But so far it's going ok, I have settled down and found things to eat. Man, the first couple of weeks is so hard trying to figure out what you can and can't eat and the advice all starts to contradict itself. Someone needs to make a super simple diet for the newly diagnosed diabetic to eat for the first week or so, till they sort things out!

kitbop I love the sound of those challenges! I definitely had a slow down. I could have tried to get one more page done this month, but I spent that time organizing and cleaning my space instead lol. Those 4 LO's were a lot for me though! Looking forward to next month. And I do like the format of putting everything into just a few threads. It was easy for me to find things and we didn't overrun the board.

I'm happy with my total for this month - 66! Since I'm working full time and caring for an elderly parent my scrappy time is limited, but I made the best of it this month. It sure helped that I went to CKC and bought some new goodies Here's to August and I hope I keep scrapping! Thanks for all the feedback and sweet comments on my layouts/cards. It is really appreciated.
