4 year old shoots himself with mom's gunSo ... parents who feel the need to carry a loaded weapon around in public and allow their child to access it are let out "on their own recognizance" and sent home with the child they harmed, but people fleeing violence in their own countries are rounded up and jailed separately from their children. What if the boy had turned the gun around and shot somebody else instead? Just one of those unavoidable accidents? Parents walk away? This country is fucking unbelievable.

What if the boy had turned the gun around and shot somebody else instead? Just one of those unavoidable accidents? Parents walk away? This country is fucking unbelievable. American toddlers are still shooting people on a weekly basis this year "On Wednesday two 3-year-old boys were shot by another toddler who found and inadvertently fired a gun at the home of their babysitter in Dearborn, Mich., according to the Detroit Free Press. The boys, one of whom was shot in the face and the other in the shoulder, are in stable condition at a hospital. The Dearborn boys are at least the 42nd and 43rd people to get shot by a child under the age of 4 this year, according to a database of accidental child-involved shootings maintained by Everytown, a gun violence prevention group. On average, someone gets shot by an American toddler a little more frequently than once a week, similar to previous years." www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2017/09/29/american-toddlers-are-still-shooting-people-on-a-weekly-basis-this-year/

“Also in this piece:
China's latest round of tariffs is actually MORE targeted towards Trump counties than its previous list was, according to a Brookings analysis provided to me.
This shows that China has actually SHARPENED its focus on Trump country:”
If Canada wasn’t taking aim at the red states with their tariffs it appears China is. So these folks who voted for trump because he was going to take care of “the little guy” are getting hurt twice. First because trump isn’t taking care of them( it’s not in his DNA) and second because trump’s actions are going to hurt them even more..

“The United States is spending far more on NATO than any other Country. This is not fair, nor is it acceptable. While these countries have been increasing their contributions since I took office, they must do much more. Germany is at 1%, the U.S. is at 4%, and NATO benefits.......
Europe far more than it does the U.S. By some accounts, the U.S. is paying for 90% of NATO, with many countries nowhere close to their 2% commitment. On top of this the European Union has a Trade Surplus of $151 Million with the U.S., with big Trade Barriers on U.S. goods. NO!”
Looks like Putin’s investment in America is paying off big time because this is exactly what he wants, a United States at odds with its allies.

While it's not right, I'm not surprised that some want to take a shot at Trump, however. People are suffering under HIM and his administration of bigots and money grubbers. This man, was just walking in his neighbourhood when the woman beat him with a brick.

And I’m including the rants by those on the right to minorities that we have been seeing in the news. It can all be traced back to trump.

Jon Cryer...
“I think much of the source of this “incivility” is the Electoral College.
When you tell the majority of American voters that their votes simply don’t count, the best you can hope for is a little “incivility”.
He may be “just” an actor, who are told they need to stick to acting and keep their comments to themselves, but this absolutely makes sense.
In this country we are told the majority wins or rules. Those that come in first win!
And yet the person who received the most votes lost.
Yes on this board we debated the merits of the Electoral College after the election. But that doesn't change the fact that a country who pushes the belief that whoever comes in first wins, has someone as president who didn’t come in first.

“Breaking -->>
(Bloomberg) -- The man who served as Donald Trump’s personal driver for more than 25 years sued him for back pay on Monday, saying he was forced to work thousands of hours of overtime that wasn’t paid. “
Stories like this about trump and how he treated the “little guy” abound before the election. But yet a chunk of his voters ignored these stories and voted for him believing he would take care of the “little guy.”
But David Axelrod May have hit it on the head on why indirectly with this tweet.
“Whatever else you say about @realdonaldtrump—and I’ve said plenty—he gets the whole reality TV thing how to build drama for the big @scotus primetime reveal. He may not dwell much on the implications for the country but you know he’s just lovin’ the show!”
trump is a “reality TV star” and with the abundance of reality shows on tv, it would appear a chunk of Americans like or love reality TV. Which makes me think a chunk of trump’s voters ignored the reality of trump to vote for one of the brash’s reality TV stars on TV at the time of the election.

trump and the republicans allowing trump to speak and act the way he does---completely unpresidential should get a good chunk of the blame. violence is never the answer regardless of what side of the aisle one is on.
trump ran on getting the attention of those who wanted to be returned to the "glory days"--white men who thought that they were oppressed to have to subscribe to every changing social norms, to those who are homophobic, the religious right, those who want to erode rights away for POC, immigrants, women. (and he is steadfastly working towards doing just that). trump is a demagogue, who is fast to cast away and discard those who he feels are not worthy, again, POC, immigrants, LBGTQ, women. he tells us every day. it is not fake news it is what he says, clear as a bell.
his base gets him on Twitter, and he has found that Twitter is the best working spreading of his lies, his made up stats, his offensive talk--because no other president in history has ever done anything like he has. he is a divisive asshole. every day.
trump does not want to unite Americans. he shows us that every day.
so yes, trump and his administration get most of the blame for the shit he has uprooted, eroded, fucked up and caused.

. Yea I will. Because it’s true. It happened when trump said he didn’t have time to be PC and when he started spewing the garbage he did and didn’t pay a price for it some people felt “well if he can do it and get away with it, so can we” and the flood gates opened. And it had very little to do with what political party one was associated with. Not everything a person decides to do is political party related. It was just tell it like it is. What trump did was expose a seedy side of this country and it had more to do with the words and actions of the man and not the political party he is associated with. THAT is what the right doesn’t get, is trump, the man, is bringing out the worst in the American People.

I can't keep up...wtf is he even saying? Is Rodney Dangerfield still alive? If he is, he needs to play Trump in the movie when they eventually do one about this train wreck of a presidency. When I read stuff like this, in my head it starts turning into a Dangerfield “I don’t get no respect” routine! Sadly he passed away a long time ago. He would have been perfect to play that incoherent man in the White House.

Sorry, I wasn't arguing with you - I was just saying that he's deflecting by saying that this is about protecting women who need access to formula, when it's clearly not.
