Gerrymandering, both slimy parties are guilty.

Gerrymandering, both slimy parties are guilty. So what?? Both being guilty doesn't make it right. You keep coming back with examples of Democrats who have done this or that, as if the fact of the Democrat doing it makes it okay that the Republican is doing it. I hear this all the time in response to trump's sexual "ethics"... "Well look at Bill Clinton..." and blah blah blah. There is absolutely no question that Bill Clinton abused his power. Why does that make it okay for trump to do so? I thought trump was coming in as a non-politician to drain the swamp? Haven't seen any evidence of that yet.

There is plenty of reason why I don’t think he’s going to get a second term I’m not even sure he wants a second term the man is lazy and wants to go play golf , i’m still not totally convinced that he is mentally well ,he will get challenged and his own party, And I think that young people and minorities are going to start voting and that will change the math. And I also believe that the economy is going to slow down because of his war on tariffs And if the economy is slowing down even middle America is not going to vote for him.

The right and the left are guilty of dirty politics. The sky is falling rhetoric from the left now is nothing but a bunch of noise. They're no better than the right. The democrats were warned about that nuclear option, and they did it anyway. They set the precedent and then bitch and moan when the republicans use it.

You mean like refusing to meet with a SC Justice nominee or hold hearings? Like that? Because the democrats wouldn't have done the same damn thing, right? No, I don’t think so. Bush got to put 2 justices on the SC. And Trump will get 2. So no. McConnell stands alone as the most corrupt, weaselly Majority Leader in my memory. But no amount of evidence will convince you or other Republican apologists, so think what you will.

What better way to get what we want than to change the rules as we go.
No different than what the GOP has been doing by all the gerrymandering that they’ve been doing, got caught at and is being corrected.

I keep hearing about our economy doing well, but it's CERTAINLY not reflected both in the place that we live, nor in ANYONE'S lives that I know about!!! NO ONE is doing better. Even the people who are making more than $800k/year are suffering in other ways & they're being modest in shopping and in their lifestyle, for many fears. I don't see a trend, like in the 80's, where the top % of people were spending lavishly and doing well. Nope. I only see corporations doing well and f**king over their employees.

The left applauded the nuclear option as a win. The republicans use it and it's the right be damned.
Ahhhh, hypocrisy.

So @samiam, how about you tell us your thoughts on the President's press conference? I even bumped the Recontarian Sandbox to get some conservative perspective this morning. I am curious what the reactions are to the President's words during the conference, the interview with Sean Hannity afterward, the dead horse beating of emails/servers (I feel like my emotions are being manipulated with this one) and it's so far over I'm quite sick of hearing about it, the Republican backlash that is happening, etc. It seems that you want to talk about everything but the actual issue. I even put it on the sandbox thread, hoping upon hope, someone would say something that would make me feel not sick to my stomach.

There you go again. “What about this? “ “What about that?” Right, go ahead and act like a clown, by all means. Denying a sitting president a SC pick has the power to change policy for 30 or 40 years. WHAT ABOUT TRUMP? Neither Reid nor Obama ever acted in such a dangerous, reckless way. But please, continue with your whataboutisms and demands for criticism of the left. You won’t get anywhere here. Perhaps an Infowars site would be more to your liking.

You're only contribution so far is to derail the thread with things that aren't pertinent to this discussion. Mine was an invitation to discuss. On either thread...any conservative...

@devildog I must have missed it. I will go back and look. I don't typically engage in that way. Especially with people whom I "know" and "see" around the board in other places.

None of my friends have dated or are married to a Trump voter. I do have family members who voted for him, though, and they absolutely know I think they're an idiot or an asshole. They don't seem to regret their choice. I married one. It caused serious problems initially, and he absolutely knew I thought it was a huge mistake and an idiotic decision. Long story short, he is waking up and realizing that his previous sources were crap, the Republican Party doesn't stand for what he thought it did, and absolutely knows he made a bad decision voting for Trump. I believe we can expect a new vote for the Democratic Party come November in Texas. I dont think I know, know anyone else who voted for him. Even my ultra-conservative 92 year-old Army vet Grandad voted against him. In speaking with a counselor friend of mine she indicated that this administration is causing unheard of conflict in families and with spouses. I could have written this post. My husband voted for him, but he has seen the error of his ways and regrets his vote. My therapist has also said the same thing about how much conflict and contention this election has caused. IMO, this is mostly because many Democrats view Republican Trump supporters as the ultimate hypocrites. I believe that Democrats are shocked that Republicans could vote for such a morally vacuous man. People who overlook or excuse his overt racism, sexism, corruption, etc. and continue to defend and support him have no moral ground to stand on. There are some things in life that are way more important than a rising stock market or a few dollars more in your paycheck. I have lost respect for anyone who continues to support him knowing what kind of person and what kind of President he is. I can excuse and forgive those who voted for him but recognize that they made a mistake, but I will never be able to look at anyone who still supports him with respect.

I agree that corporation are doing really well but the people you know who make 800 K a year got a really nice tax breaks from this administration so those should stop complaining . unemployment is very low and I think that’s the only number that a lot of people are looking at but wait when they will realize that gas is becoming very expensive again and that they’re losing the pre-existing condition in medical insurance and for people that we are complaining that their medical insurance was too expensive under Obama wait next year it’s going to explode in their face.

She's a Republican. Or at least, she was until Trump came along. If she warned people off about you, it's because of you, not her. Anyone who doesn't suck Trump's toes is fair game for you. Keep it up. Hope you can still sleep at night when Russia invades Alaska, and no one in NATO is willing to come to our aid.

So, are devildog and samiam the same person? Why are their names in black now? Both deleted? Well devildog definitely outed herself as having an alter. I clicked on her right after her comment as I wanted to read the context of someone calling her a traitor yesterday. SHE hadn't posted yesterday. As samiam also just deleted, I guess we can concluded that was her alter.
