So there have been many reports from Android PL users that we can no longer save pages 😡. I sent a strongly worded but polite letter and here's the response.

(TL;DR- sorry, not our fault, we are working on it, keep waiting)

Thanks for respectfully voicing your concerns about the app. I honestly appreciate that you're being kind even when you are frustrated.
The reason you are no longer able to save pages is because android has made some recent updates. We have not changed anything but sadly when Android changes things it affects the way that our app is able to behave. Devin is currently working on a fix for this issue, which puts him back on updating android to the 3.0.

We honestly just feel grateful that we are even able to continue developing at all after this last year and after the previous years of decline in interest in the memory keeping industry. We are trying to pivot and stay alive.

Our business has very few employees. 3.0 for android is still in the works but it's not going to happen in the timeframe that you or I wish for. I totally get it. I have an android and several people that I love and care about have android and it is frustrating - but the reality remains that android is more difficult to develop for.

I honestly don't know what else to say that would make you feel any better. I totally understand if you need to move on and find another way to keep your memories. But I would hope that you could make do until the changes happen and android has 3.0 with the editorial pages available.

I'm so tempted to reply that it must be hard when your owner is no longer interested in memory keeping and I'm glad she is trying to pivot back but not sure her lackluster approach will do much to really help renew confidence and excitement in the PL app.

Do it please! I don’t use the app anymore and I don’t intend to go back, just because I like using a laptop better. But man Becky does nothing to help her own company.

While I appreciate what Wendy is trying to do, that response comes across as condescending: thanking you for respectfully voicing your concern...giving excuses for trying to stay afloat and why the Android update that's been promised for almost a year now still isn't happening...so many "honestlys" thrown in to look transparent.

Becky is promoting the bejesus out of the app and her "new" documenting efforts. There is really no excuse the Android side isn't updated or that she could have given Android users a heads up that she's aware of the issue and working on it - other than she sincerely does not care.

Agreed. That was pouring some very sweet ice tea over a tut-tut-tut message. How lucky are we that despite the shrinking of the memory-keeping industry and pandemic (what pandemic? Becky's been travelling left and right sans mask and recording her podcast with a variety of guests, also sans mask) Project Life is still vaguely trying to cater to the OH-SO DIFFICULT-TO-DEVELOP-FOR Android market? Get yourself a developer who knows what's up with Android. It's not that hard.

OMG. That response is terribly unprofessional. Also, this could be wrong (I don't have data), but from where I sit, memory keeping seems to be gaining steam. It seems like people are at home more and getting back into hobbies like scrapbooking. I'm seeing an increase in newbie posts and questions on the AE FB group, subscriber kits are selling out, new companies are doing well (KP). At the very minimum, BH should capitalize on her existing products, like keeping the apps updated and working. But, nope. SHE has lost interest in memory keeping.

This pretty much explains all the frantic-ness. The jumping from one thing to another, crowd sourcing how much she should charge for a class, the podcasts. I find her condescending and preachy. The other Becky also. They act as if they are experts at everything. Seriously, does she think she really has new information!?! The deseret book hide and seek seems so middle school. Perhaps there are enough fangirls eating this stuff up but I do not get the appeal.

The natives are restless w/her highness' slow pace of release and lack of functionality on Android:

"So these ‘designer’ kits...will we have to wait 2 years for them too? These newest ones are....minimalist at best. There’s a huge concern in the PL app community that these new ‘kits’ will do poorly and therefore it will appear from a marketing standpoint that there is no market for new kits. I share this concern

I love the PL app, but I don't see the excitement with these cards? I was hoping for some of the other kits that aren't in the app yet.

Thank you for this new collection of cards but I prefer the colorful kits from the creators. When I started using project life, there were new things every month but I have the impression that project life has been sleeping forever. 😢 I hope we will have some nice surprises to come...😊😗🇫🇷

Shoot! I was hoping for a new project 52 kit. And I would love to load/integrate my own kits into the app itself instead of relying on Dropbox.

When will android users be able to search for kits. It's always extremely anoying to go through them. Also would love to get the new 52 Kit, like it's march and there's still nothing...

On the plus side, Android users can now SAVE THEIR WORK! Genius!!!

Not even bible stickers. Those are Mormon scripture stickers (Doctrine and Covenants by Joseph Smith)     She's pigeonholing herself in the LDS market. 

Well. On closer inspection I have to take that back. But it's close.

Yeah, I think in the 90s/00s, I would have found the style of those stickers very appealing (just aesthetically), but it's definitely not in line with today's trends.

I see I'm in excellent unholy company... 

I know this is just me being envious because I have barely been around family in a year, let alone traveled, but the other Becky, Becky P, is driving me insane this week. She rarely posts anymore but this week she is in Hawaii so she just has to post all the things. She’s done tons of stories about how awesome it is and gag. Seriously I know I’m just salty but I can’t help it.
