Um... if she thinks that was her "superpower" in the first place... Ladies, BH is an excellent vaguebooker. It's her speciality. Don't go rushing and feeling bad for her too quickly. I'm still thinking the house was either an investment for them to make money or need to liquidate it due to past financial issues (foreclosure) catching up. She could be moving to Hawaii and downplaying it for the attention. Who the hell knows? I actually like the 3 bunk bed thing, but I also don't have a 23 bedroom home with a guest house...

I’m probably way too practical. Over the years we’ve moved a lot due to my husbands job. In addition to looking at homes suit our family’s needs I also try to figure out how I’m going to care for and maintain the home. Six bathrooms with six toilets would be a big NO for me. Not to mention 7,000+ square feet. Our children all have household “jobs” but I would not expect them to clean that much space. Perhaps she has a cleaning service.

I am so confused by the location description. Could that be a typo? I lived in AZ for almost 5 years, and I know lots of peas do too. I have never seen an island in the Valley, "You will be on the most desirable street of this county island location, but within minutes to Peoria's desirable schools, as well as the acclaimed BASIS, Glendale Prep, and Candeo schools*" and I looked it up on google maps, and while there is a river, I don't see how it's an island, like the description states. Very confused. Also, AZ with no pool? Maybe I missed it, but for that kind of money I would want a beautifully landscaped oasis type back yard with a pool, hot tub, outdoor living space, the works. If they had done that, I would think there would be photos. Good grief, what a cold, ugly house. Sad. Asking azcrafty what they think... Haha...trying to catch up on reading this post. DH in real estate so here is a explanation: A county island is an area that is unincorporated with a city, but surrounded by a city or cities. So its governance is county only thus a residential property would not have to follow rules set forth by Peoria, only rules of Maricopa county. I hope this helps. BTW prices in the valley went up 45% in the last 2 years and very little inventory. Thats why they sold this for so much and so fast. Maybe they just wanted to cash out while they can. Pending means that there is a contract but the sale its not finalized yet. And yes definitely weird that there is no pool!

Good explanation az…
But still seems strange that they’d sell so soon after building their dream home that took forever to build and that she seems delighted to choose all the fixtures, furniture, etc.
I can’t help but think there’s something else going on. When they sell their home they need to live somewhere. If housing inventory is low I’d think they might have problems finding something affordable & suitable. Her last IG was rather cryptic but she sounded a bit overwhelmed.

I will have hubby check their name again in a few weeks to see if they purchased a new house in the valley.

That is one of the coldest, unwelcoming houses I've ever seen. It all looks so empty and lifeless. "Upscale prison" describes it nicely, @skellinton! LOL!

With all the concrete, dead space and caps lock, I’m pretty sure I hear an echo in my head as I read the listing.

hehehe, sorry I'm giggling away here... you all are too good. I'm going to have to take a proper look. It sounds like their little guest house is twice as big as my little house house... are there really 6 toilets? and no pool? ?! hell, no. Markets are crazy though, I'm not surprised someone snapped it up even if it is fugly and weird.

Also: what happened to the other Becky? She was once posting so much together, it was like they were spending all their time with each other 24/7. Now, not so much. The warped person inside me says a little something something went on between those two. Wanting to have an immersive experience, so she can say she's more than an ally . Then it went sour. Or her and Dr. Husband are at that empty nest stage and he wants to move on. I vote for they have grown apart. The divorce rate in the Mormon church isn't that much lower than the national average. Hence the home sale. The optimist in me says they have decided to leave the church and downsize their home so they can live in a more diverse area for their daughter.

Something has changed or happened. For a person who claims to behave with so much INTENTION, this is somewhat sudden. They have probably not been in that house much longer than it took to build it. This sale was not planned. It wasn’t that long ago that she was gushing over the perfect leather pillow for a chair, for instance. Of course we can only speculate but something of consequence has happened. From the photos it looks like they don’t live in that house. Zero evidence of a family living in that space though it could be that a stager removed all personal decor.
Her recent IG irritates me as usual. One of the reasons she said she’s not been on social media is because she’s focusing on FAMILY. I always find that a bit offensive—like, look at me! I’m taking care of my family—like the rest of us slobs ignore our families.

If we do and if you can believe it. 🙄 If it's a foreclosure, that's public record but they may have listed before the filing if they were working with the mortgage company.

Some thoughts... - I could live quite comfortably in the guest house. I think half of the photos were the guest house, maybe because it was actually human scale and almost cozy. - the ugly sofa at the end of the bed was probably a desperate attempt to fill some space in that cavernous, pointlessly huge main bedroom. I think that bedroom might be bigger than my (quite generous) living room. That bed looks minuscule but with 3 pillows across the back has to be a queen or kind size, right? Why, people? Bedrooms are for safety, relaxation, coziness, intimacy... - If it turns out they are getting divorced I'm going to blame the anxiety that living in a house with prison vibes will create. - show me more of the too many bedrooms and bathrooms, not Intentional Details and endless outdoor views. - Reading that LISTING makes me WANT to POKE my EYES out*how about YOU? - Conference Room B. ugh...

I looked at the listing and oh, do I have questions!
* Where are the rest of the pictures? There are 6 bathrooms and I only see pictures of one main house bathroom and one guest house bathroom.
* Bedrooms… same question.
* A $2.6 million dollar home has concrete and VINYL flooring?!? It’s not real wood? Oh no. If I’m paying $2.6 million dollars for a home, it’s not going to have vinyl.
* I don’t understand the strange pops of color. Lime green next to navy? Bright orange?
* Why don’t any of the light fixtures match?
* Why are the walls of the bathroom tiled? What a pain to clean.
* The kitchen is baffling to me. I would kill for her pantry but the kitchen is almost non-functional. She has zero dedicated counter space for prep work and her island only seats three? My very normal (nice, but not a million dollar home, or even close) house has an island that seats six.
* I like the built in kitchen table with benches.
* Do you think they already moved out which is why the house looks so sparse?
* I am so glad I never hopped on the hairpin table leg trend. It does not age well.
* I don’t get her design aesthetic at all. There is no cohesion between rooms, none of the furniture seems to fit the space, and the whole house feels cold and uninviting. I thought she worked with a designer? Or maybe I’m making that up. 😂

I just had a hilarious conversation with my husband him: Have you heard of these people called influencers? I see these reels on Facebook. me: laughing hard, hahahahahahahaha....yes him: They what, make money? Let's do that. Look at our son in the swing. Isn't that hilarious? Look at what he's doing. We could make money off of that. me: Oh hell no, no, no, no, no no, hell no. Then I proceed to show him ads from mommy Mormon influencer jordanpage. me: First she's skinny and cute and always has the makeup look going on. Look at those ads! There's no way I can be that damn perky. I'm not going to exploit our kid. Then I proceed to show him more photos of the Page family. him: Oh, that's a lot.
That was one of the weirdest things I've ever discussed with him. The man is clueless.

* Why are the walls of the bathroom tiled? What a pain to clean. Is cleaning the reason why bathrooms walls aren’t normally tiled in the USA? Lightbulb moment. In the Netherlands, bathrooms walls are often tiled floor to ceiling, exactly because of easy cleaning. When I redid my bathroom some years ago, the trend was large tiles (12 by 24 inches), so not much grout to clean. (And we have soft water.)

Okay, but seriously, the newer epoxy grouts are all pretty stain resistant. Which doesn’t help with older homes, obviously, but is amazing for renovations or new builds.

When I redid my bathroom some years ago, the trend was large tiles (12 by 24 inches), so not much grout to clean. (And we have soft water.) And tile can be pretty expensive, that's why we didn't tile our whole bathroom back when we remodeled the guest bath. After seeing bathrooms in Europe my husband said when we ever get around to remodeling the en suite bathroom he wants to see how much more it would cost to tile everything. That bathroom is very small room (7 ft x 3 ft) so I can't see it being crazy expensive. Okay, but seriously, the newer epoxy grouts are all pretty stain resistant. Which doesn’t help with older homes, obviously, but is amazing for renovations or new builds. This is good to know! Thanks for the tip!
