I have an older home. Floors and just over half of the walls are completely tiled. I have covered the floor in my bathroom with luxury vinyl and am seriously considering painting the tile white. It is a butter yellow now. The other bathroom is blue tile. It does make for an easier cleaning.

Also, AZ with no pool? Maybe I missed it, but for that kind of money I would want a beautifully landscaped oasis type back yard with a pool, hot tub, outdoor living space, the works. If they had done that, I would think there would be photos. Good grief, what a cold, ugly house. Sad. Asking azcrafty what they think... I looked at google maps. The street view cam was passing April 2018 when the house was being built. It looks like there is a pool in the backyard. imgur.com/a/RvwCsK4I am surprised that there aren't more photos of all the rooms and backyard. The listing mentions the separate garage with the guest house but not that it is a 3 car garage for the main house. The listing is almost like one that a house flipper would do. It focuses on materials over uses of the space.

The listing does mention an “entertainer’s backyard “. 😶
I’m always amused by focusing on “entertaining “ as a feature in listings and people looking at homes on tv shows. Most people I know use their homes for LIVING their lives. Entertaining can be managed in most homes. But functional living spaces are more important to me. Also easy maintenance—6 toilets? NO; all that empty flooring? Uh, no! Keeping over 7,000 sq ft clean could become a full time job. Bigger is not always better.

I just showed this to DH and he said the wall in the bedroom looks like someone’s ashes are behind each square. I think the bathrooms look like they’re in a trendy pub. If it’s sold already, I guess the housing market really is booming. L

What this usually means to me is "people will be impressed/envious when they come to visit your house" which might be what some people care about. There are some people who genuinely do need spaces to accomodate regular large gatherings. I can think of a few families I know who host dozens of big families for informal parties - somehow I don't think they'd cope with the BH kitchen, but maybe in the AZ climate they'd be doing all their cooking in the backyard. This house feels like a showpiece to impress not a thoughtfully planned space to live with a family.

She’s Mormon, which means big families. If I have just my parents, my siblings, and their kids over, we are over 50 people.

When our families get together it’s a lot of people. But we make it work in the space we have, or my siblings have. Most of the time we have just our family. Our kids have their friends over, we have friends in our home. When people build/buy these massive homes in wonder if they consider the cost of upkeep—heat, ac, furnishings, etc. or perhaps they are wealthy enough that they do not have that concern.

I think it’s a fair assumption that anyone building a multi-million dollar home doesn’t have to worry about the cost of cleaning/maintenance.

I'm the youngest of five and it can get really crowded in my mom's 1973, 2200 square foot home. My sister and her husband recently did a new addition to their home and they are empty nesters. I don't know. I think the frequency of family gatherings and the unpredictable weather in Utah are factors too. Or even just living in a boring area. Home theater? Yes, please! My big dream right now is finishing our half basement and getting a garage. I want my own bedroom.

DH had 6 siblings (4 have since passed) but yes, when I was hosting the family get-togethers, that was a lot of people between his siblings, their kids (9 total), and grand-kids (well over 20) plus spouses/partners...I didn't have an 'entertaining' space house, I had a mobile home and we made it work -older folks got first dibs on chairs, we served buffet style, kicked the kids out into the yard whenever possible.... When we bought our current house - we deliberately looked for non-open floor plans.

I don’t get it. Don’t we all have to be intentional about how we spend our time or did I miss my free pass on adulting? No one is going to die if you don’t make stickers, Becky.

I’m guessing the Higgins need the $$$ she’ll get from this new batch of stickers. I continue to find her wording insulting—being “intentional” about her time as if none of us do that. Whatever that family is dealing with has sent her to the edge. I sense she’s trying to ward off another “panic attack” meltdown. The last one sent her on a week away to reflect or whatever one does when you can up and leave your family for a period of time. I’m all for self care including caring for mental health. Becky seems to have lived in a bubble that has hindered her coping skills. Good thing she can focus on coloring.

Yeah, I have a date like that too. March 15, 2020. But somehow I never feel celebratory about it. Matter of fact, that whole season and time of year have become a trigger and I hate it. Must be nice to be able to get over things like that so quickly. Or lie and make them up so easily to capitalize on them.

Yeah, no...I document every day. I listen and talk to my DD as she struggles. I have gone on my own highs and lows. Not a damn thing I celebrate. I just want to scream at her! She had a freakin' panic attack. She screwed up and the fan girls came at her. I don't get to go away for a week to walk the pretty desert and be by myself. I have to get out of bed every damn day, pull up my pants and get to clicking on a keyboard and paste a smile on my face.

….and…it’s anniversary time Anyone else celebrate and document the onset of their mental health struggles ? There’s an app for that if you’re interested….😵💫 Seems she celebrates the anniversary of the "great panic attack" more than of the company she owns. Meanwhile I tend to not celebrate dates that bring me PTSD memories of great stress. However I keep wondering if/when she will actually admit Claire is the reason for the recent pride posts. Also not that I ever listened but you never hear anything about the podcast or her bestie Becky P, did that finally run its course and she ditched her as her bestie after her cancer came back like she did her old friend who used to do her hair? (can't remember her name) And lastly I was shocked that they let their other house go into foreclosure and not even attempt to sell it while they're building the so called ugly dream home now to only sell that a few years later. That whole situation seems scammy to me. Reminds me of someone I used to work with who lived in the Phoenix area who was paid 6 figures and let his house go into pre-foreclosure to do a short sale because it wasn't worth what he paid for it and meanwhile knowing he was going to do this bought a new home at a lower price. Yet her whole persona has changed kinda like her home decorating style. Her old house while wasn't my style was cozy and comfortable and looked like a home to a concrete leather sterile environment that makes a hospital look more inviting. I know many were wondering why she is selling the dream home wonder if this lawsuit has anything to do with it?? www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/CivilCourtCases/caseInfo.asp?caseNumber=CV2022-004024

Does anyone read the IG account B set up for her “missionary”. I check it occasionally.
I’m a bit conflicted. On the one hand it’s nice to see kids like Porter out and about and trying to help others. On the other hand I find it disturbing. Watching an 18 year old acting like they are all knowing regarding religion, conversion, etc. Seems like it’s almost a game to them. Seems naive to me.
Guessing the Higgins foot the bill for this experience? Anyone know? Does it count as part of their tithing?

It’s one thing to “help” or “serve” people but it’s totally another that I cannot abide to use that as an inroad to proselytise and convert

From my understanding, the mission serves to “strengthen the faith” i.e. brainwash the missionaries rather than really care if the convert anyone.

I agree, helping/serving is good - if the area you're sent to WANTS your help - but to preach your "true" religion and try to convert others? Nah. When Heidi Swapp announced that her daughter was going to serve in Houston and was learning Spanish to do so, I had to laugh. Just what they need down there, a white girl with broken Spanish trying to "save" them and help them find God.

Just what they need down there, a white girl with broken Spanish trying to "save" them and help them find God. I don’t think the missionaries are “wanted” in the sense that they are invited. I think there’s some kind of headquarters (I use this term loosely) “manned” with an older elder and wife who can provide assistance to these young kids. For instance, when I lived in Texas in the Houston area, we’d be visited at least once a year by two young men in dress pants and ties. They were not interested in a discussion. Only interested in convincing us our religion was wrong. They’d typically begin by “baiting” us with some absurd thing that happened in the 1500’s, which it likely did but had no bearing in current practice or belief. I knew nothing of mormonism then or I might have asked about Joseph Smith issues that are problematic. I still know very little about Mormons. The things I do know seem hard to believe.

Her “real person” IG has her stewing about getting her stickers done by a deadline that is approaching. She sounds very stressed and alludes to stuff going on in her life. She’s asking God for a miracle. I don’t mean to make light of her faith in God, but I do think God expects us to use our brains and figure out what is do-able schedule-wise and consider the commitments we’ve already got. No idea what the reference to Crew means in the affidavit reference.

I think it means that Crew is the one who received the papers when they got served. Idk though cuz that seems odd. Would Becky be named if the suit was going after assets under Becky’s name? I really have no idea lol. But I do wonder if that’s why they are selling.
