I stumbled on a very interesting tidbit about BH. I am torn on whether to share it here or not. Part of me does not want to because it’s her private life but the other part of me wants to because she is completely out there showing us how perfect things are, including all the money she is spending on the new home. I must disclosure that what I found can be found publicly as that is where I found it. My little ones are sick and I spent a ton of time on the couch today with them, hence how I fell down the rabbit hole and found this. Big loan? I would like to hear from Race who used to work for her, he disappeared. Spill the tea please.

I’d urge caution unless you are completely sure it is her and is true. A lot of those sites having dirt on people are often wrong (if you got it there). It is not from a dirt site, it is from county documents and other documents that anyone can download and view.

I have a feeling we already know this dirt anyways. I know it was known that she warehoused project life in another state to dodge tax laws, and that’s not uncommon.

Ok, I don’t know why I have been so up in the air about this but here it is. Yesterday I decided to see if I could find out how much her new home was worth because earlier in the day my son and I were talking about the average income for an anesthesiologist and frankly I was curious. I ended up finding the new home and of course the old home info came up to. The home she just moved out of has a pre foreclosure status for non payment and will be auctioned off at her county’s building on 3-12-20. I thought I was surly mistaken so I looked up the property on her county’s website and sure enough the property is in their names and the mailing address for the old property is that of their new home. Still not satisfied I looked at the overview on google satellite and the pool and back yard area matche the pool she posted just before she moved. The pool is an odd shape and everything matches up perfectly. I know I didn’t need to do this because the address and owners say it all but I wanted to be certain. Also as of right now no property tax has been paid for 2019. One half was due and all will be considered late if it 1/2 wasn’t paid before dec 2019. Right now before I posted I started to think she never once posted about the sale of her old home. Not even we found a great new owner to enjoy our home now that we are moving on. The county is Maricopa and a quick property search by name will find this info. All the realtor sites have the auction info., it links to a auction site as well.

Property taxes on BH's old home apparently haven't been paid for 2019 or not that the records reflect yet. Did I get this right? 2. Their old home is still in their name. 3. But it's in foreclosure for non-payment of the mortgage. Right? It can't be in foreclosure over unpaid property taxes, can it now? Does anyone from the area know if BH's old home is in a more expensive neighbourhood than her new one? This is all so odd.

This can be checked at the civil court of the Maricopa countys website for free.

Yes of you search by name both property’s come up, the old and new both in their names. My understanding is a tax lien can be placed against the house for nonpayment of taxes. In my state, if you don't pay for a certain number of years (I think it's 3), then the state/muni can sue for foreclosure.

I doubt it is for taxes if the mtg company was able to get an auction date set up with the county this is big. When people foreclose on homes it can be a couple of years before it gets taken away. I think they are some how for some reason going with this. For what reason I don’t know. Edited to say that aren’t totally that behind on taxes the second and final installment is still not due, so it’s not the taxes. I am just mentioning that because it is strange to not have it paid. That is all.

I just found the auction details for her old home and yep, Lovescrapping is right: it sure is Becky's previous home with the unmistakably *unique* pool. Consider me a little shook. How the capital F did it get to this? Over budget on their new home and unexpected loss of income (maybe they had a tight budget, no emergency fund, and Becky lost her American Crafts, sending them over the financial precipice?). Is there a financial benefit to letting a home go in foreclosure? I am not American, I don't know how all of this works. Send Internet helpz. I sure would have felt ashamed of not paying the mortgage on one home while building the other and never would have posted photos of the work in progress, expensive piano room lighting fixture and whatnot in the McMansion on social media. This is so weird. I simply cannot relate. What's going on? What is this magic trick in which one erases any feeling of stress related to cognitive dissonance? How do I unlock this achievement? This is wild to me. Surely, I'm not seeing the larger picture or am missing something crucial to comprehend the situation.

I went to the Zillow link from Lovescrapping. It says there was a loan from 2008 for $855,000. Tax-assessed value is $467,800. And it gives the current Zillow estimate for home value as $660,000. I’m guessing there is $0 equity, so they walked away.

The son I talked about in my post humors me and all my scrapbook drama. so I had to tell him last night because I needed someone to see what I was seeing. I don’t know or understand what is going on but to be living and broadcasting how much money you spend while there is clearly a problem is sad. I don’t wish a loss of home on anyone, but this is clearly not a feel bad situation while she’s vacationing, living in a new custom built home, etc etc.

@lovescrapping, All this money problems would certainly explain her anxiety "disorder" . I would be super anxious too if I was in over my head financially. Well, my darlings, cheers to you because this would be impossible in France. You pay back or the court gets involved and forces you to pay back. Or you declare bankruptcy and no more mortgages or loans at all. Not even a single credit card. All your goods are taken to be sold except what the state considers must-haves to live (a bed, a fridge, etc.). You can't even take any money out of your bank account (frozen). When the liquidation of your goods is over and your debts are legally erased, you start afresh sans credit card or any loans for five years.
This whole "conscious foreclosure" thing is completely bonkers to me.

A foreclosure also does horrid things to your credit score and ability to finance anything in the future.
Even if the house is auctioned off, I don't think you can just walk away from a deficiency balance on the mortgage. The bank would likely sue to collect the difference.
