Please, please, PLEASE make sure to wear the proper PPE!! We don't want you having residual bad effects from this exposure... if you feel yourself wanting to buy an overpriced notebook, or have the urge to wear an ankle-length sack dress with bell sleeves in a dull olive color, please seek medical attention immediately!!! I'm doing this sitting in my non-magic underwear. I think that's the appropriate PPE when dealing with Mormon business? Instead of writing a story on her computer and emailing it to herself, why can't she just use the notes app on her phone? Or, you know... just type it directly into the template she's working in? Sounds like a lot of extra steps. This whole free course is made up of a lot of extra steps. that dress looks like a washed out version of my mother's house dresses from the 70s - she would have called it a muumuu, made it out of some garish print, and worn it for relaxing with a good book and a cocktail

I can't believe I know this, but Heidi Swapp posted a photo of making rings with her daughters. You can buy online or make one at this ladie's studio somewhere in Utah County. It's probably related somehow.

I have no snark for this one, just incredible sadness. Charlie Bird was the former mascot at BYU and he came out as gay. He now has a book that's published by Deseret Book (church owned). I truly hope he figures out he can't be his authentic self for the rest of his life unless he wants to commit to being celibate and never be in a relationship with a man in order to be in good standing with the church.  |

My freakin' dog, Becky couldn't let her niece have her wedding weekend, could she? She just had to bust out a long, white dress of her own. Becky had a little lamb... I swear this is the exact dress that nobody wanted to be saddled with during drama workshop at summer camp when I was a kid. As soon as the doors of the theatre opened, everyone pounced on the dress up chest just to be sure they wouldn't be left with the naphtalene-stinking, dusty potato sack vintage dress with suffocating collar. For those wondering: Becky spent 3.5 hours inside The Gem Studio at City Creek Center to make a ring. Yes, you heard me right, 3.5h inside a shop during a pandemic. With her elderly mother. And other random clients. Cannot relate. And she claims to suffer from anxiety. Right. |

I'm going to give her a pass on this one. Some of the LDS temples are open. If her niece did get married in the temple, the guest limit is very low; I think ten. On top of that you have to be worthy and LDS families are notoriously large. Aunt Becky may have not made the cut. They are also a super super casual affair. I bet most people didn't give her dress a second glance. Definitely no cocktails, no full meal for everyone. Unless you are invited to a wedding luncheon afterward. Even then, there are protocols they have to abide by right now. Later that evening, there is typically a wedding reception. That is where EVERYONE that knows the bride and groom is invited. And OMG can we please please please refer to her as Aunt Becky now? |
