Cause now I’m just stalking, Becky P. posted some IG stories with her kids at a pottery painting thing. I’m 90% sure Becky is with them. Proudfit was panning the camera and you can catch a glimpse of Becky’s face before she starts panning in the other direction. And she isn’t mentioned at all. Clearly, she is laying low at least until tomorrow. Since I am blocked, has she not posted since yesterdays crap storm? Becky H. has not said a peep, but Becky P. has and she has had a few Insta Stories too. A couple of yesterday’s were about the swag for Thursday’s event. There was some shade about using social media for good and she’s proud to work with the warrior women that she does. (Or something like that.)

She already stated that the reason less stores are buying the product is because you the customer aren’t buying it. It’s your fault not hers that the product is difficult to find. She didn’t choose it. The Beckys don’t support PL product visually online so sales go down. Stores see declining sales of said product, so they don’t restock or reorder, making it hard for customers to find a place to buy said product from. Customers give up on PL and move to other companies that are providing similar product and are easily accessible. The Beckys wonder what happened to all their customers who wanted to buy the products they decided not to support. Don’t forget that Becky herself said the big box stores had suggestions for improvements to the PL product and Becky would have NONE of THAT! She orchestrated her own demise. It really is sad. I like the pocket page protectors and albums from PL, but I’m not gonna pay full price from Becky’s shop when I’ve been getting them 40-50% for years now.

Heidi hugs. Girl is good at giving shade. I love a good shade girl. I do agree with Heidi. Even if I don't agree with shade I love when you have a master at it, lol. I think more than anything, she was trying to be positive and encouraging. I meant that as a compliment, you know. A person can be kind, encouraging, uplifting, positive and beautiful. She can still give great shade. Giving shade doesn't mean negativity. I think Heidi is a cheeky sassy girl that loves to laugh. She's my kind of girl. Sorry, I don't have the view that all scrapbooking stars are vanilla Stepford wives. I think a lot of them have great and fun personalities that I personally love to see in their collections and designs.
Note to Heidi I was giving you the ultimate compliment.
Becky H catch up. Crew is a cutie. Seems like a really sweet boy. I feel bad that Mom has to wait for good lighting to post something sweet. I was a stage kid to a craft star. Hint Becky that's not going to end well especially on wedding day when they tell you to F off about taking pics. Girls raise your hand if you did it with your Scrapbook/Photographer parent monster when you became an adult.
Becky own the hurtful hateful thing you did on NSD. Apologize, take the hit, counsel yourself and own it. It's done and you are NOT the victim. You CHOSE to do this on NSD day. The industry that is building your house and made you a popular name, you chose to slap the industry that was good to you. Don't act surprise if there are ramifications.

Hey everyone! I'm (obviously) new here, but I've been catching up and following along since the infamous iNSD event. Brief background: I started following BH about three years ago, and used the app + some physical to start scrapbooking, and it's helped me be remarkably consistent. But when BH stopped sharing inspiration and products (remember when she used to say "scrapbooking in the palm of your hand"?), I found the Simply Project Life group on FB and have found daily inspiration there. What a great group! And then iNSD happened, which is how I found out about this thread.
I've been listening to the BH podcast, and I thought I would share what this latest one says, so you don't have to listen to it. If I had to guess, I think this was borne out of some of her recent "evolving" but I don't think this was in response to the drama. BH Classroom is the sponsor for this class; $10 off the photo tips class. I will certainly be back to share what happens next week, if it's addressed at all.
Emphasis mine. I left out some of the fluff words & phrases. Ready for this revelation? Starting from 05:30...
BH: Do we focus on documenting every single episode? Of course not. BP: We are definitely not a "scrapbooking podcast" for sure. Maybe we should stop at this point. When I came in and we talked about doing the podcast, the first thing I said to her is "I'm not into scrapbooking". I thought that was BH was about. I knew she had this app that I loved and used, but as I came into the company more & more & more, I don't like to use the word scrapbooking because of the idea of "documenting" as it relates to cultivating a good lift ... Documenting can help you cultivate a good life. BH: I wanna talk about your journey. [...] Side note. You said you don't like to use the word scrapbooking. We have a lot of listeners who may have been scrapbooking for 10, 15, 20 + years. You guys who have followed my journey all this time may have noticed I don't use that word anymore, you will never see me - unless if it's the context of something that makes sense - scrapbooking isn't even a word that really resonates with me anymore because that's just one way of doing documenting. But when people hear scrapbooking, you guys know, 'cause if I say the word now? What do you immediately think of? Probably something pretty old school. BP: Well it's not even old school- BH: Or traditional. BP: Its not even like oh that's a crappy way to document. BH: Yes, thank you for clarifying BP: I think it's beautiful. I think of it as an art form. It truly is like painting. I love it, I love looking at other's - etc etc. BH: I will piggyback off of what you're saying. As a creative-based scrapbooking for many years, I love that I did it that way for years. I appreciate and honor and don't want to redo any of that. I love that's how it was done and I'm so grateful to have them. Now, this is where I want to bring it to you (BP).
And they dive into BP's documenting journey from there.

I don't know many people who can host a 6+ hour live event with 100 people in attendance and be out painting pottery the night before the event.

So Becky P. is posting in her stories about the event. Becky H. is in them. It’s all pretty generic so far, but Higgins mentions that she really sincerely wishes we were all there. And then Wendy weirdly interjects with “No crying.” And the two Becky’s kind of laugh and repeat the “And no crying.” It’s kind of weird because no one was crying. So either they have been reading the board here or Becky has been randomly bursting into tears and Wendy was trying to stop something before it started.

It's so weird that they are sharing about it to Becky P's 4000ish followers rather than Becky H's 85,000ish followers. Also thought it was funny that Kari brought in one bag of candy and said she was going to hook everyone up, as if no one attending has $5 and access to a CVS. It also seemed like she intended to pass her bag around to share, not like she got a bag for everyone.

So funny that they’re talking about how excited they are about everyone waiting outside to come in. I’m betting we don’t get any views of the actual event because then we would see just how unpopular they really are except in their own minds. They obviously think they are way cooler than they actually are.

Look, some people are "over" what made their brand/business but either pretend with select projects that it's still part of their life (and as long as your followers still want it and are your paying customers, it *is* still part of life so suck it up and become your own product ambassador/demonstrator for a limited amount of projects). It's not like Liz Tamanaha still scrapbooks these days (she admitted to not having documented a single thing over the whole of 2018) but she made a "Year in Review" kit, made a project with it and is keeping her DT alive and motivated. I am ok with that solution (and I continue to purchase from her). Liz doesn't feel the need to have others validate that she hasn't done any documenting recently or have her customers "follow" her path away from it. She just continues to make product that resonates with her audience and keeps them engaged with her DT team projects. It's not that hard. I'm sure Becky will have her 50 or so attendees flood IG with the hashtag later in the day. Can't wait. I'm amazed Kari brought in a big bag of candy is calling it a day. Seriously? At least have decent goodie bags ready to welcome the people who paid almost 200 bucks for 6 hours of yada yada ME yada. I guess they'll just pick a piece a candy from the big bowl (or bag) and get a notebook. We'll see, I guess. srtasoleada Thank you for the transcript! I couldn't bring myself to listen to the episode so your work is greatly appreciated. Hope you'll stick around. And welcome!

To the person from the BH team who clearly keeps tabs here: unblock those you blocked during BH's iNSD shitstorm. It looks bad. They called Becky out on an inappropriate post for the scrapbook community's holiday. It's really silly to block people who haven't insulted (with insult words, not as in: "Well, they said something I didn't like hearing so there, I feel insulted now.") or threatened you. Just unblock them discreetly on a day when it's least noticeable like a Friday afternoon. This is not a good look for someone claiming to be a memory-keeping guru/Yoda/whatever word of the day and who still has a brand under the AC umbrella. Makes Becky look super bitter. Big girl pants and quiet undoing of some of the damage.
Sincerely,
Someone who's giving you some free professional advice

Sincerely, Someone who's giving you some free professional advice I have received 7 pm's so far from ladies who were interested in what happened. I gave them all links to here so they could read the truth for themselves. One was on her design team. People are finally waking up due to the foul odor of shit that Becky has dumped. None of us want our hobby to die out. Its gals like Becky who give it a bad name. Its woman like her who make others despise business woman because she is so overly emotional. Its woman like Becky who make us question how sincere others are. Just let it go already and move on Becky. Stop stringing others along when it is so very freaking clear you hate scrapbooking. Look at Heidi. That is exactly why we scrapbook. Have you seen pages lately? Multimedia art. Stamps. Foil. Glitter. Paper. Stitching. All made out of LOVE. Something your guru self ain't got hun.

I've been following Liz for years (though I hardly even know why) and honestly didn't even notice that she'd stopped scrapping. I guess I might have noticed more family photos and fewer projects at times, but it's been subtle, and quiet, and as you said, she's been keeping up her brand for those who are still into it.

Wendy has posted a couple of photos of the event in her stories. One is with the woman who designed the notebook for the event. And the second is a group shot with the Beckys and Kari. And in both pics they are standing against a wall or where it would be impossible for anyone to be behind them, so we can’t tell if it’s a rockin’ party or not.

If you count the cups on the tables in BP’s videos it looks like they had around 60-70 places set up. Not bad for an expensive weekday event.
Scrapbook Generation sold 300 seats to their SCRAPBOOKING weekend event in 3 minutes this year. So....scrapbooking isn’t dead. If BH still scrapbooked, maybe she’d get a large crowd too.
