I don't do PL but I like DD. The trick for me is making sure I prep my pages ahead of time so all I have to do is take photos, print and do some quick journaling every day. Maybe that is what I need to do. I have to get the motivation to bring out the holiday themed supplies in October or November sometime and get started on it. I know there are a million YouTube videos and blogs about it. I just need to do it. |

I have a confession to make. I purchased kits 2 years in a row (I think in 2015 and 2016) from Ali Edwards. I purchased main kits and some extra add on kits. I HAVE NEVER DONE A DECEMBER DAILY. I used quite a lot of the cards and papers during the month of December in my regular PL album over the past several years but I have never actually done the daily work. I love the idea of it. I am not sure I would be able to keep up with it. I might give it a try this year but if I do I am not going to purchase any supplies. The main problem is that I see all of these beautiful holiday goodies and I want them all. Maybe I will make a pact with myself that if I complete an album this year I can get some new supplies next year. I think if I go and take a look at all of my supplies I will be inspired and realize I don't need more at the moment. Anyone else in this boat? I don't do PL but if I did I think I would probably just do a few spreads in December with Christmasy products and skip the whole separate album idea. Because I don't do PL, I make a Christmas themed album in December but it is definitely not daily - I could never keep up with that. That's another good idea. A December album but do not get hung up on the DAILY aspect. I could see myself getting upset if I miss documenting a day and giving up on the whole thing. |

Some people do a story a day, but not necessarily the story from the actual day.

My DD has always been more of a December Memories album. I don't worry about the daily aspect of it just include all the Christmas memories our family has in the month of December. This has worked much better for me since I went this route and I actually have completed albums versus the years when I tried to do it daily.

I do try to keep my album daily but there have been times when I struggle for something daily so I collect vintage postcards and use that on a day, covers of catalogs, and sometimes I just document a story or picture from another day or year that I want to record.

I'm excited about the Elle Studio kit - and I'm glad they are offering it really early. So many people on here say they don't like the Ali Edward's kit so it's getting my hopes up that I will be able to take my time and buy stuff, and yet I know most of it will sell out on the first day and people on here will be upset.  What holiday kits do people like in general? I really like My Mind's Eye this year and I have not liked their kits in a while. It gives me a BasicGrey feel - and really I miss the BasicGrey holiday collections more than anything. BasicGrey and Making Memories always came out with kits I had to have. I like Crate Paper this year, but I liked their kit better last year. But I think Crate Paper will go well with Ali's kit. I never love the 6x8 papers in Ali's DD kit so I usually combine it with a traditional holiday paper line |

I decided that I would use my past Christmas supplies for my "December-ish Daily-ish" album this year; so I won't be looking at Facebook tomorrow. I'm not in the freezer per se, and not exactly trying to destash or even save money. I'm just feeling the need to not rush and buy the unecessary. DD memories are priceless, but AE's DD releases have a cost !  I customized an album with a rub-on (candy cane and holly from Carta Bella) and I rather like it. I already have lots of ideas for it. *term coined by smultringunn.  |

Me too - so far I like the Elle's Studio sneaks more than AE, but I plan to buy some (or a lot -lol) of both, plus probably put in a healthy order at a A Cherry on Top - for stickers and papers from holiday collections that catch my eye. I find these boutique kits never have enough fun holiday stickers. |
