Actually looked at the Stories now. I LOVE the cover of the journal and altough I wont use it, I would kill for an album with that design. I really, really like those kraft tags now I've seen more of them.

Love, love the idea of Ali offering a Christmas Planner but after her sneak I realize I would never actually use that. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I can use the other 300,000 list pages I have in other notebooks instead.
I like the chipboard but the color is very traditional. I'm guessing this is the color we can expect in the kits.

Hmm. My thoughts :
Colors are just ok. I am not a burgandy fan. I'd much rather have a festive red or even a brick red.
I like the kraft tags as they seem like a fun size.
Don't have a need for either of the journals.
Fabrics stars are just meh. Not a necessity.
As much as I LOVE chipboard I will second guess my purchase this year. I think. 😂
Overall, I can pass on all of it so far and be fine with it.

My thoughts:
The colors seem similar to those in the past? I'm not really a fan of the olive-ish green for Christmas or the burgundy, but I think doing these not traditional versions of colors makes it harder for you to mix and match between Ali's supplies & other brands... so maybe something done intentionally so you will buy more? That's just the cynic in me thinking though...
I like the tags the best, she said she thought they were 4x6 but wasn't sure. That would make sense though, her tags in the OLW release were that size. The patterns seem to be a lot of reused ones--I feel like all the sentiments on the tags have been used on other products in the past? I really like the star chipboards but I'm not a fan of the square ones and my guess is they are bundled with one star, one square, one circle per set (she said it would be 3 per set). I also don't like that they are using the smaller chipboard dies... I feel like they charge the same amount for these smaller sets. I like the idea of the stars... they are something new and the patterns are pretty. But I'm not sure how I would use them, they seem super dimensional and I always run out of space in my album.
I'm leaning towards taking a different approach this year--maybe a photo book or something. I'm just tired of the same old products rehashed every year and spending so much on them. I will have to keep thinking about it. I'm excited to see more.
And I'm not at all interested in the gift supplies. It reminds me of BH and her wrapping paper. I don't think they will sell well.

So far it’s a pass on everything for me - including the gift bags. Target makes a lot of really cute Christmas gift supplies. I don’t understand why Ali and Becky feel like they need to get into the wrapping paper and bag business.
If she sold an album with the same cover as the journal, I would buy several for my PL albums. It’s gorgeous.

I don't mind the color palette, but so far nothing I can't live without. Thank you for the pics.

I will have to keep thinking about it. I'm excited to see more. And I'm not at. This is me exactly. I bought some of Liz’s digital kits during the 1/2 off FF digital sale. I think I will end up doing a photo book with that if none of the supplies end up wowing me. I’m becoming stingy with my crafting money.

She also added another sneak. I guess they are selling gift packaging this year as well. She said gift tags and bags that will be available at a different time than the December Daily release. My guess is that these gift bags will cost more than the gifts I would put on them.

I want to know who is on the naughty list (still not finished with 2017's DD) and who is on the nice list (finished 2017's DD).

I don't understand why Ali and co wants to get into the lifestyle business. Her scrapbooking is unique, her lifestyle products are nothing special, especially for the price (based on the current shop).

I’m thinking of just doing a travel journal or something of just my thoughts. The December daily hoopla/project seems to get out of hand for me every year. Like it’s hard to enjoy a simple Christmas when you’re worried about how to use your $250 dd kit.

Ivejust realized how much I’m spending on my scrapbook board, I’ve tons of dd product, something will have to be amazing for me to buy it this year
I never buy clothes or jewelry etc, my albums look great and I look like crap!
I’m in a change your life phase and I realize I need my money for other things

I am being VERY premature here but I am thinking of taking a break from a DD album this year too. I may just document in my PL album this year. Don't hold me to this but financially and otherwise for my personal situation it would be a great year to skip the DD hoopla.

But for exactly the reason we are discussing here...I spent $150 plus on that album and can't afford to not have it completed and able to be enjoyed. I would be so bothered with leaving it undone.

I miss the freshness/quirkiness of the 2014/2015 kits. That’s probably a good thing because I had previously vowed not to buy anything this year.

I really like most everything I am seeing. I wish the burgundy was red color instead. My thoughts on the gift items it seems most professional scrapbookers are now going the route of offering these kinds of items and moving away from the scrapping the world. I hope this is not the case with Ali.

Not feeling tempted yet. Really don't like the colour scheme. Even though I was a good girl and I finished my 2017 album I might not find anything I like to buy as my 'reward'. I'm kind of disappointed!

I like the chipboard and was thinking when she said sold in sets of 3 - she meant all that together. I hope so. Maybe I misunderstood. I know I will want the chipboard. I spend a small Fortune every year on AE kits/products for Christmas, and then again on the Black Friday or whatever she calls it sale too. I am hoping I don’t this year. I need self control.
