I used to love my decorative scissors! You can do so many fun things with them! I bought just about every design they made back then, and I still have them. Here are a couple of layouts I did with mine long ago: Two decorative scissor layoutsPerhaps I should dig them out again.

Wow, fancy, Scrapnnana! I still use mine for a little snip here and there. You never know when a wave edge will be just the thing you need. Here are some paper flowers I made using punches and mini-pinking scissors to trim the flower ends. Pink paper flowers

I still have a few and the ones I kept look very similar to the ones you linked. I don't do anything fancy with them but will use them for borders sort of like a border punch.

I'm just not cutting my photos and double mats with the Victorian scissors, anymore.

My favorite ones were the grass edge. I used to love those. They actually happen to be on my dining room table right now!

No thanks. I could never make the design look correct continuously if it was longer than the scissors. Border punches work better for me, but I rarely use them either. I only own 1 design.

I still use my scallop scissors (I have them in two sizes) on a semi regular basis and the pinked edge occasionally. Sometimes they are just the right touch.

I still have 4 or 5 of these. I do not use them all the time, but sometimes they offer the perfect touch, I find I use them on cards more than layouts.

:blush:Lol not for me they aren't! I don't even own those 30 something pairs anymore lol. But when I had them in the 90s I used the heck out of them. I have albums and albums full of people and pictures cut into shapes with a shaped edge to prove it lol

I have yet to see a border punch that makes fringe-y grass. Thinkin' I might be needing some scissors! I actually have a grass-edge border punch (Fiskars), and I love it! I bought it partly because I could never find a pair of decorative edge scissors that made a nice fringe-y grass edge - LOL! (I guess we all shop in places where different things are available at different times!) Bought it for zoo & DW Animal Kingdom LOs, but I use it for a lot more than that. I still have (and use) a lot of my decorative edge scissors. I mostly use them for photo mats or borders. The most-used (by far) is my deckle edged scissors. I also have a pair of leaf-edge deco scissors that I use quite a bit. The deckle & leaf scissors stay in my tool organizer on my desktop, along with the others I use a lot (several scallop sizes, Victorian, Majestic similar to the ones used in ScrapnNana's LO, postage stamp, wave, zig-zag). I have another bunch in my stash but they don't stay on my desktop since I don't use them as often - funny, I was just going through those the other day to see if I needed to swap some into the mix that I keep on my desktop. ScrapnNana, your LOs with the deco-scissors are beautiful and very detailed! I was never able to use them in any shape other than straight lines. Cool that you managed circles & ovals! I'm impressed! I also like the technique with the double-edge that you did with the folded strip. I might have to try that. And Oaksong, I love the idea of using them to snip the ends of the paper flowers - so simple, but it gives the flowers a whole different look - pretty!

I still have all of my old decorative edge scissors, but I barely ever use them. I could never get them to line up nicely on longer cuts. On shorter cuts, I often cut crooked when I use them. I still can't bare to part with them, though. Glad to see they are making a comeback. Maybe I should start practicing with them again.

I cringe when I look at the first few pages I made and all the pictures have deckled edges. I still have about 6 different pairs and as others have said, occasionally snip with them.

I had quite a few of those when I first started scrapping, but replaced most with border punches which I found easier to use. I do still have my deckle scissors and a pair that cuts a postage stamp design but that's it. Now if Theresa comes out with some nice border punches...

Grass looks great, especially when you layer it. Today at a crop I called out - does anyone have any deco scissors? Crickets. Then a young girl new to scrapping pulled out some riffle edge ones and asked if they were deco scissors. I cried with happiness, cut my little paper and vowed to put mine into my tote in the future.

Still have a bunch of them stashed with my sb stuff. May have to dig them out, they might make some interesting edging on homemade pl cards... I also have and used the grass edge scissors.

I got rid of mine and the big ol' carousel that they came with. I have picked up a couple few since then, but I'm not in love with how they work...I can rarely match up the ends well enough IMO. I will use them occasionally on the edge of a card, but that's about it.
