"The U.S. is respected again!"
No, the US is currently a laughing stock around the world. I can't believe they say/write stuff like this, surely there is enough evidence out there that they can't honestly believe this? This president is mocked and ridiculed every single day around the world, do they not open a newspaper/twitter/the internet or turn on a TV?
That Trump and his minions think the problem is 'fake news' rather than take any responsibility and look at themselves is mind boggling (again)
Everyday I listen to the news via Alexa, Australian, then British, then American then world news, and most days there is a story that starts "President Trump warned...." That's how he wants to lead by constantly 'warning' people, companies & other countries. He wants to lead by fear and intimidation, That doesn't make you respected.

Chuck Grassley - The takeover is complete... “So...Obama’s going on campaign trail to alert ppl of trend toward authoritarianism/a hit on Trump That’s easy for Trump to counter. No President can be autocratic when u share Constitutional power w Congress&Court@real Donald Trump give it to Obama” And someone in the thread reminded Grassley of one of today’s teeet by donnie dimwit.. “Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department. Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff...... He forgets that dt has said he will go in and run Justice Dept too! The checks and balances are nonexistent!

And believe it or not, he can do it. We have Congress to blame for that. They could have renewed the law establishing independent counsels back in 1999 when it expired but they did not. That law stipulated that independent counsel reports be submitted to Congress. Mueller is not an independent counsel; he’s a special counsel appointed under the rules of the Dept of Justice, not Congress. The DOJ rule requires submission of final report to the Atty Gen and it's up to him if he wants to forward it to Congress. Since DOJ is under the Executive branch, Trump likely has power to invoke privilege. But let’s all hold off on the dismay/alarm because if Dems recapture the House in Nov, they have the authority to subpoena any report that’s relevant to an impeachment. But it wouldn’t be Mueller’s report. It would be Rosenstein’s report that would go to Congress. Even if Rosenstein squashes it, he has to tell Congress something. I think it is entirely possible they will agree to go the deny impeachment option because then the report is released to all of Congress not just the committee. This was a good flow chart for those wondering how this is supposed to work. It doesn’t mean that a trump and Giuliani won’t pervert it, but it is a baseline. www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/05/23/us/politics/trump-mueller-russia.htmlI’m with Mueller, She Wrote in the “put beans on it” camp. Sorry, I'm not understanding. The article you linked says exactly what I said above: But the law has changed since Mr. Starr’s investigation. Mr. Mueller is required instead to submit a confidential report to Mr. Rosenstein explaining his decision to prosecute or not. Mr. Rosenstein does not have to turn that report over to Congress; he only has to notify lawmakers that the investigation has ended.

One wonders IF dt knew about the program which may have prompted him to take the route he has taken with the attacks on Ohr and Steele? IF Deripaska had made comment to Manafort and/or someone who passed it onto dt beore it was anywhere near public? dt has had access too absolutely all secret/top secret/all the way to the top since at least the election. Trump target Ohr was part of secret Justice Department program created to ‘flip’ Russian oligarchs: report BOB BRIGHAM 01 SEP 2018 AT 14:51 ET The Federal Bureau of Investigation spent years attempting to flip Russian oligarchs, The New York Times reported Saturday. Two of the leaders of the secret program were top Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr and former British spy Christopher Steele, both of whom have been repeatedly attacked by President Donald Trump. One of the Russians targeted in the program was Oleg Deripaska, who is known as “Putin’s Oligarch” for his relationship with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. Ohr first began discussing Deripaska during a Nov. 21, 2014 meeting in Washington, DC. The Department of State helped facilitate meetings for the secret program by allowing Deripaska to visit the United States on a diplomatic passport in 2015 and 2016. Convicted felon and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was also mentioned in the report. In 2017, Ohr reportedly asked Deripaska to “give up Manafort.”Deripaska has claimed that he would speak to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, though whether he would do so absent an immunity deal has been in dispute. www.rawstory.com/2018/09/trump-target-ohr-part-secret-justice-department-program-created-flip-russian-oligarchs-report/

If I am wrong say so, but I truly think that we, the taxpayers, have a right to know the outcome! And I mean ALL of us, not one side or the other.. I mean EVERYONE. WE need to know where to go from here.

He will see the report and be able to report to Congress without going through DT as Rosenstein releases his own report. Starr was an Independent Counsel not a Special Counsel, which means Starr reported to Congress where as Mueller to Rosenstein. But that doesn’t mean that Rosenstein can read it and say nothing. If the AG (or DAG in this case) thinks that Mueller’s report is “inappropriate or unwarranted under established Departmental practices,” then he has to tell ranking members of both parties of the House Judiciary Committee why he feels that way so certainly some info will come out. (Title 28, Section 600.8) But if the DAG feels that the call to indite the President should not move forward due “established Departmental practices” then it triggers a different response in that a manadatory report is released to all of Congress based on Title 28, Section 600.9. This is why Trump has to be careful if he wants to replace Rosenstein in hopes of squashing Mueller.

So if the report is released to Congress due to DAG not feeling that it met indictment standards, can Congress then vote to impeach/indict? This is all so complicated.

And then there’s the fact that many fewer people identify as Republicans these days. So it’s 90 percent of a smaller number.

Actually trump has done nothing except to increase the debt with his unnecessary tax cuts. He has really messed up health care to the point people will be paying even more in premiums for less coverage, that is if they can even get it. His immigration policies are making it harder for employers to find experienced workers to pick crops which means we all pay more at the supermarket for our veggies and wine. His trade wars are increasing the cost of goods to the American People and in some cases costing people their jobs. What “successes” he has is because he is riding the coattails of things that started under President Obama in both the economy and the fight against ISIS that trump keeps taking credit for. But when you try and come up with one item he is responsible for on his own that benefits the American People you got nothing.

new normal--a lot of vineyards in Napa/sonoma counties can't pick the grapes because the only available workers have migrated to construction --a year round job. so tourism will suffer, less wine will be made or be more expensive. and the not rich are not better off...

“Read the Woodward book twice. Explosive reporting. Vivid scenes in every chapter. Includes documents, dates, details. Top Trump advisers took papers off of the president's desk to stop him from making decisions. Mattis ignored his order to kill Assad.”
If any of this is true, this is what happens when you elect someone who is unfit to be president.

More from Woodward’s book.
Kyle Griffin..
“Trump insults for staffers, according to Woodward.
Priebus was "like a little rat. He just scurries around."
Once said McMaster dresses in cheap suits, "like a beer salesman."
Once told Wilbur Ross: "I don't trust you ... You're past your prime."
I believe he does based solely on what he says in public.

“After Assad launched a chemical attack on civilians, Trump called Jim Mattis and said, "Let's fucking kill him! Let's go in. Let's kill the fucking lot of them," Woodward writes.
Once he hung up, Mattis told an aide: "We're not going to do any of that."

If any of this is true, this is what happens when you elect someone who is unfit to be president. I find this to be pretty disturbing. Both that Trump wouldn’t/doesn’t notice when things go missin from his desk, and that his staff 1 would do that and 2 feel the need to do that in order to protect the people of this country. Makes me wonder what else they’re taking off his desk. Also makes me wonder what else he forgets about. And shouldn’t someone in charge of an entire country be able to remember something they had written down on their desk?
