Happy Monday everyone! A holiday here - is it also a holiday is Australia, NZ, and Europe??? The sketch today is an oldie from Scrapbook Generations. It's a 2 pager, but I chose it specifically because I thought you could make a great 1 pager out of either side. My example - which I'll add in the morning when light is right for photography - is a single page of the right side only. layout never grow up by kirstendrew, on Flickr My TWIST - is to use STITCHING on your layout. I like my machine, but maybe you want to hand-stitch? Or pen-stitch? Or maybe just add a few buttons and stitch them on. I'll say 3 buttons and you're good to qualify 08 august basic by kirstendrew, on Flickr Please link your take on this sketch with or without the twist in this thread. If you are a team-player, please share it in that thread too!

kiwigirl - I am hoping peas do rediscover their sewing machines in the next few Mondays Mine is stored in a pillow case (dust) on a shelf behind my table, and the cord for it is always under my feet, already in the power bar, so I only have to connect. I do love the subtle detail it adds!

I love the sketch - stitching, hmmm....my sewing machine is RIGHT next to my scrapping table but I've never used it on paper.

I wasn't using my good fabric one on paper. And my old fabric one, I got tired of pulling out for sewing on paper and it took up too much space. But this month most of my pages will probably be digi, which I almost always add stitching to as it's so much easier!

I love your page using the right half of the sketch...I’m thinking about stitching but it would have to be by hand. There’s no place for me to set up my machine without it being in the way.

KelleeM - yes, your stitching adds great texture! Super page - I love it as a 2 page spread, love how you used orange but the floral to tie in the elephant.

I just bought one like this on Amazon for $20. It only does straight stitches but I was keeping it on my craft desk all the time, then it got buried... All of the small cheap ones rated about a 3 star. Although I haven't used it in over a year, I feel like I got my money's worth. If I had a space for my older, larger machine, I'd definitely have rather used it as it's more powerful. You could just keep a needle for just paper on a regular machine. I'm just too lazy to switch needles all the time.

I took some liberties with this one. Hope that's okay! I took the 2 page design and stretched it upward to make it into a one pager. Thanks for getting me started kitbop. I had no idea what to do with these photos.

Love your take on it msliz , such pretty colours and I don't know if you've taken a point for a Donna equation but you've got it there, white background, doodling (you did hand draw the stitching right?) and a one word title Here's mine, I procrastinated about getting my sewing machine out for ages and finally did it lol! So my circle is stitching for the twist and there's a line of zig-zag down the right hand side. Here's a close up cause the colours are all weird in the main pic and you can see the little word stickers here I'm taking 19 for this. 1 for a LO, 1 for sharing, 5 for sketch + twist, #4, #7, #9, #12, #15, #17, #22, #37, #40 + BONUS, #44 and Sept Stash Challenge - Something from my last purchase.

This has taken me the best part of two days, and I loved every minute of it!
It's both pages compiled to make.. my September desktop! It looks great on the screen Nearly all supplies are from Shabby Princess with a few bits from a Halloween bundle from The Hungry JPEG (on the right I made the top two small montages). There is (digital) stitching on the sides of the pumpkin paper and I made it myself kitbop wonderful sketch, thanks for the challenge and the inspiration of your page, which set me off yesterday! I loved all your little embellishments and colour KelleeM congratulations on trying stitching, you did a great job! Super page with all the Auutmn colours, and such sweet photos. msliz I really like all the colours, pink, green and black with all the white space. It's a smashing page kiwigirl brilliant version and you should stitch more often Pretty colours (like msliz above) and all those lovely little embllishments, gorgeous! Linda A pat on the back for you too, stitching Very neat it is too, and lovely colours although I am a bit keen on that rubber dinosaur, so cute!

JaneB - I can't see your masterpiece I'll try again later and hopefully it'll show then. The little dinosaur is actually a cardstock die cut (QK dies that I just HAD to have when they came out and well...they just haven't gotten as much use as one might hope...turns out, I don't need die cut dinos too often - imagine that?)

Oh it looked like rubber to me, sorry! What do I know? It is a cute dinaosaur though, I can understand the need to have it
I've altered the thumbnail size, hopefully that will work. It's shows for me so I didn't realise anything was wrong, thanks for letting me know.

JaneB - holy halloween perfection! That's stunning. You could sell it. linda - I love the way the sketch turned out on your page! Very Linda, but really cool! kiwigirl - happy sigh of contentment for your colours, your kitty theme, and all the embellies around the stitched circle. msliz - funny you should "stretch" this sketch - I was thinking the same thing for the day 1 sketch - that the grid would make a great embellishment in 1/4 of the page - I love your interpretation!
