You do understand what trump is doing here don’t you? trump... “Law Enforcement has been strongly notified to watch closely for any ILLEGAL VOTING which may take place in Tuesday’s Election (or Early Voting). Anyone caught will be subject to the Maximum Criminal Penalties allowed by law. Thank you!” He is laying the groundwork that if the Republicans lose it will because of voter fraud. I would think with all this extra scrutiny the mere possibility of widespread voter fraud would be close to zero. Especially since ACTUAL voter fraud has been proven to be *already* close to zero...

It just slays me how often the fool can say two things that are in complete diametric opposition to each other and yet almost no one calls him out for the nonsense that it is (or believe it when someone does).

Erin Cunningham.... “Today the Trump administration held a briefing on reimposing sanctions on Iran. Secretary of State Pompeo said that the sanctions are “just a part of the U.S. Government’s total effort to change the behavior of the Ayatollah Khomeini,” who has been dead since 1989”
Doesn’t anybody in the trump administration check the facts before they open their mouths? I don't think it's the Trump administration that needs to check facts on this. The current Ayatollah is named Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei.I think they do and so do you. Kh om eini Kh am enei

“Trump asked for proof that people are intending to vote illegally.
"All you have to do is go around and take a look at what's happened over the years and you will see."
That's his proof.”
You know he is making this up and you just know that there are the fools who will believe this.

I'd like to know what "illegal voters" look like. What exactly is law enforcement looking for? Are they standing over the registers/voting helpers/whatever they're called double checking that proper IDs are used for everyone? Were they trained for this? I don't see how else they could do what Trump is saying they are doing. Those of you who voted early, did you see a law enforcement presence? I don't remember seeing them before but maybe I wasn't paying attention. I will look tomorrow.

On Friday, Stephen Colbert showed a Twitter post of a story from from thehill.com: 18-29 year old turnout in early voting, compared to this point in 2014, is: 5x higher in Texas 5x higher in Nevada 4x higher in Georgia 3x higher in Arizona (his joke: "Yes, this year all 3 people under 30 in Arizona voted... lol." These early voter #s actually give me some (extremely cautious) hope. Whoever they're voting for, that's excellent news. I'd love to be optimistic about what this means for votes for Democrats. But Texas is a big state, with tons of rural areas. I'd be interested in knowing where this change in early voting is happening, would give us a better idea. My BFF teaches high school in a county just outside of (liberal) Austin. From the little she's said, most of her students' views are disheartening. Well, at least if more people vote the elections will reflect what more people think and feel. I’m not holding out much hope that the US I thought I knew still exists anymore, but I’d like to find out I’m wrong.

I didn’t see any special “voting law enforcers” present. And as far as I could tell, none of the other voters there looked illegal to me either. Just regular everyday people, most of them my age (50’s) or older.

Who the fuck rigs an election to LOSE. The stupid of these people astounds me 🤪🤪🤪🙄
This response made me chuckle though.

Nuthin’ to see here...just more trump family shady foreign business dealings...
“By Caroline Zhang November 5, 2018 Presidential adviser Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand won first trial approval for 16 new trademarks from the Chinese government in October. These approvals come about three months after Ivanka announced that her brand was shutting down, and mark the largest number of new Chinese trademarks she has received in a single month since President Donald Trump took office.
Ivanka announced the immediate closure of her brand in July 2018, citing her official government responsibilities in Washington, DC. However, her trademarks remain a potential conflict of interest as she continues to work on policy in the White House and meet with foreign leaders.
Despite shutting down, Ivanka Trump’s brand will continue to seek new trademarks, according to public reports. This leaves open the possibility that she could resume her business after leaving her role in the White House. She retains ownership over all of her existing trademarks, and many of her trademarks will remain active as late as 2028.
The newest Chinese trademarks cover fashion items including handbags, shoes, wedding dresses, and jewelry. (Ivanka’s business has previously relied on a Chinese manufacturer to supply handbags, shoes, and clothing.) The trademarks also cover items including nursing homes, sausage casing, and voting machines. Ivanka’s business applied for these trademarks in 2016.
This is far from the first time that Ivanka’s Chinese trademarks have raised ethics questions. In May 2018, Ivanka Trump’s business received approval for several new Chinese trademarks a week before President Trump announced that he wanted to lift the ban on the Chinese company ZTE, for violating US sanctions. In 2017, the business received three new Chinese trademarks on the same day she dined with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Ivanka receives preliminary approval for these new Chinese trademarks while her father continues to wage a trade war with China. Since she has retained her foreign trademarks, the public will continue to have to ask whether President Trump has made foreign policy decisions in the interest of his and his family’s businesses.
Read the trademarks here.”

Pentagon is not doing all he wants done!! ** The Pentagon denied a White House request to allow the U.S. military to build facilities to house detained migrants at the U.S-Mexico border, Reuters reported Monday. U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters the Defense Department rejected the preliminary request, which would have been part of its new mission on the southern border. The Pentagon also, late last month, declined a request from the Trump administration to allow troops to perform emergency law enforcement tasks along the border weeks ahead of the arrival of thousands of migrants preparing to apply for asylum in the U.S. In that instance, the White House requested a reserve force authorized to provide "crowd and traffic control" to areas along the border and protect Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel. The Pentagon rejected the request on Oct. 26 as the department felt that the tasks fell outside active duty soldiers' authority. ** thehill.com/policy/defense/414955-pentagon-declined-white-house-request-for-troops-to-build-detention-facilities

I know everyone is focused on the election and if this country has come to its senses.
But this story shows, yet once again, why unless one has a real reason to own a gun, and not “just in case” or “what if” they shouldn’t have a gun in the house.
From ABC News...
“11-year-old boy kills grandmother after being told to clean his room: Officials”
“An 11-year-old boy shot and killed his grandmother and took his own life in their Arizona home after he was told to clean his room, authorities said.
The violent incident occurred Saturday evening in Litchfield Park, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix, and was witnessed by the child's grandfather, whose gun was used in the tragedy, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday after the boy's grandparents told him to clean his room, sheriff's officials said.
The grandfather, whose name was not released, told deputies that the boy was "being stubborn" about cleaning his room after being repeatedly asked to do so throughout the day on Saturday, sheriff's officials told ABC affiliate station KNXV-TV in Phoenix.
The grandmother was identified as 65-year-old Yvonne Woodard.
Authorities said the child, whose name was not immediately released, lived with his grandparents, who had full custody of him, officials told KNXV.
Woodard and her husband were sitting on a couch watching TV when the boy allegedly came up behind them and shot the grandmother in the back of the head, officials said.
Investigators said the boy used the grandfather's gun to shoot his grandmother and kill himself. It was not immediately disclosed how the child obtained the weapon.
Following the shooting, the boy ran from the room and the grandfather briefly chased him before returning to try to aid his wife and call 911, sheriff's officials said. As the grandfather was rendering aid to his wife, he heard a gunshot and found his grandson dead from a self-inflicted bullet wound, according to officials.
"In the preliminary stages of this investigation there had been no previous signs that the grandson might harm someone or himself and there was no cause for concern prior to this event," the sheriff's office said in a statement.“
