“There is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame...
....of Anger and Outrage and we will then be able to bring all sides together in Peace and Harmony. Fake News Must End!”
I bet if you asked him specifically what was “fake” news he couldn’t or wouldn’t answer the question.

Of course he did.

“More than 16,000 people have signed an open letter to Trump from the leaders of a Pittsburgh-based Jewish group who say the president will not be welcome in the city unless he denounces white nationalism and stops “targeting” minorities”
Have you ever noticed how many places , inside and outside this country, where trump is not welcomed?
He sure is making America great again. And it’s only the ignorant who believe that he is. #sad

linkNoah Shachtman... “SCOOP: Ron DeSantis spread George Soros conspiracy theories days after a bomb was sent to Soros. “He could be seeding, into our state government, you know, Soros-backed activists,” DeSantis said.” So this is what , as trump called him, a Harvard/Yale educated great Congressman says. You notice ihow many Republicans running for office spend more time attacking Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, & George Soros then talking about the issues and the positive things the Republicans have accomplished? I wonder why?

5,000 US troops will deploy to southern border: report BY REBECCA KHEEL AND MEGAN KELLER - 10/29/18 10:53 AM EDT The U.S. military is set to deploy about 5,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to assist with the Trump administration’s response to a so-called migrant caravan of asylum seekers, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. The number represents a significant increase over the initial estimate of 800 that several news outlets reported last week.“Planning is still underway,” Pentagon spokeswoman Laura Seal said in a statement to The Hill. “It remains premature to speculate total numbers or specific forces to be selected to accomplish the requested missions." *** More at link: thehill.com/policy/defense/413618-5000-us-troops-will-deploy-to-southern-border-reportIt will never end as long as he is there!

"The President of the United States should not have to be persuaded to denounce anti-Semitism."
So very true!
"He hasn't called his immediate predecessor about the bomb he received in the mail, but he called the fascist who just won the Brazilian presidency before the sun came up on his victory."
He sees no reason to call any of them... They, as we, mean nothing to him!

PLow voter turnout...
“A religious leader just interrupted Jeff Sessions and recited Matthew 25:42—43:
"I was hungry and you did not feed me. I was a stranger and you did not welcome me."
He was removed by police.
Another religious leader defended him.
He was also removed.”
Sure enough it happened as there was a video attached to this tweet.
More from ABC News...
“Religious leaders interrupt Attorney General Jeff Sessions' speech: "Brother Jeff, as a fellow United Methodist I call upon you to repent, to care for those in need."
Sessions: "Well, thank you for those remarks and attack but I would just tell you we do our best everyday"

Rep Joe Kennedy III....
“A synagogue. A school. A church. A concert. A neighborhood. A park. America. Victims change. Communities change. Motives change. Attackers change. But the weapon of choice stays the same. Thinking & praying won’t bring change. Only our leaders & our laws can do that.”
He’s right.

How did Brazil look at what’s going on here and say, yes, we want some of that? I think the whole world has gone mad.Unfortunately, I think it's more just "reverting to the mean." Is the natural state of the world, conflict or peace? History would point toward conflict. If you look at the post-WWII and especially post Reagan/Gorbechev period as the aberration, then you can start to appreciate how much hard work and commitment, global, and honestly, regional stability requires. And how tenuous the connections are for maintaining it. This is likely not going to just be a single election cycle, and simply blow over. Apathy is a recipe for the default state, in this case, conflict to re-emerge. The veil has been ripped off, and now too many people and regions are seemingly committed to... I was going to write nationalistic approach, but it's more than that. Even on an individual basis, too many people view their neighbor or co-worker as an adversary and not an ally. It's a bigger rejection of the idea that "a rising tide lifts all boats." People really think that all this cooperation (they'd call it socialism) is a detriment to their own personal success/position. On some level, I guess the world has simply been "faking it until we make it," but came up short. Maybe in the next loop, we'll get there (long, long term, I am an optimist, but as far as MY lifetime goes...). When and what the next global superpower conflict will look like? I've given up trying to settle on a prediction. On one hand, the economic ties would make me lean toward another type of Cold War. Economic pain, controlling scarcity of resources - which would still lead to bad outcomes for the most vulnerable. But then you look at the erupting violence and all it takes is the wrong person getting killed at the wrong time, and the wrong person making the wrong choice of retaliation and who knows, conventional war is back on the table. Certainly in certain regions. And we definitely have the wrong person making decisions for the US.

The biggest LIE yet!! Sanders says Trump won by 'overwhelming majority of 63 million'BY EMILY BIRNBAUM - 10/29/18 03:12 PM EDT White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during a Monday press briefing said President Trump won by an "overwhelming majority" of 63 million votes — despite the fact that his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, won 65.8 million votes and he lost the popular vote. Trump did win the electoral college, which determines the presidency, and he did so handily, winning 304 electoral votes compared to 227 for Clinton. That's more electoral college votes than any GOP president since George H.W. Bush in 1988, though fewer than what former President Obama won in 2008 and 2012. "He got elected by an overwhelming majority of 63 million Americans who came out and supported him and wanted to see his policies enacted. He’s delivered on that," Sanders said during her first White House press briefing in weeks. She make the remark while going over the accomplishments of the president, which she said were ignored by much of the news media. Sanders's comment on Monday was only the most recent attempt by the White House to claim that Trump won a majority of votes in 2016. The president has repeatedly touted the falsehood that he won the popular vote "if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally," a claim that has been disproven multiple times. Studies have shown that voter fraud was not a widespread issue during the 2016 election. more at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/413692-sanders-says-trump-won-by-overwhelming-majority-of-63-million

Kyle Griffin....
“By travelling to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Trump is ignoring a plea from Pittsburgh's mayor that Trump refrain from visiting "while we are burying the dead."
"Our attention and our focus is going to be on them."
The first funeral is planned for Tuesday.”
From The Washington Post...
“President Trump and first lady Melania Trump will visit Pennsylvania on Tuesday to commemorate the victims of last week’s mass shooting at Tree of Life synagogue, the White House announced Monday, even as the mayor of Pittsburgh publicly requested that the trip be postponed until after the funerals.
The White House announcement comes as tens of thousands of people have signed a petition calling for the president to refrain from visiting the city until he denounces white nationalism.”
Awkward.

I hope that they turn him away. (However given his past behavior of coming to events uninvited and pushing aside the persons being honored, he’ll probably crash it anyway)

Did we know this? MIGRANT CARAVAN: U.S. MILITARY WILL HAVE UP TO 14,000 TROOPS, MANY ARMED, READY TO INTERVENE AT MEXICO BORDERBY JAMES LAPORTA AND TOM O'CONNOR ON 10/29/18 AT 5:58 PM The U.S. military will have an actual force of up to 14,000 ready to intervene at the southern border with Mexico, including an additional 7,000 planned deployment in reserves on round-the-clock standby. The Pentagon announced Monday that it will send up to 5,200 troops to the border ahead of the anticipated arrival of a caravan of Central American migrants that President Donald Trump has warned would not be able to enter the country. These troops, which "are in fact deploying with weapons" will join up to 2,000 National Guards already at the border for a combined force of about 7,200—or about the same amount of U.S. soldiers involved in the battle against the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria. In addition, a U.S. Defense Department official with knowledge of the deployment—known officially as Operation Faithful Patriot—told Newsweek that "the units deployed right now are of actual strength between 5,000 and 7,000. With another 7,000 on standby on 24-hour notice." Newsweek reviewed the operational documents for Operation Faithful Patriot. The documents are marked, “UNCLASSIFIED, FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY, LES,” meaning, law enforcement sensitive. Defense Secretary James Mattis and combatant commanders have authorized U.S. troops heading to the border to carry live ammunition, according to the documents obtained by Newsweek. A detailed list of reserve forces included basic infantry aviation units as well as military dogs and linguistics personnel. On October 13, a group of asylum seekers departed the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras and has since reached Tapanatepec in Oaxaca, Mexico. From a peak of about 7,000 people last week, the estimated number of migrants was more recently placed at 3,500. In addition, however, at least two other smaller caravans from Honduras and El Salvador have set out to join the main group. more at link: www.newsweek.com/migrant-caravan-us-military-troops-mexico-border-armed-1192578

Let's see how this goes with the judge!! Attorneys for man convicted of hate crime point to Trump campaign in leniency pleaBY MORGAN GSTALTER - 10/29/18 07:54 PM EDT The attorneys for a man convicted in a anti-Muslim hate crime on Monday asked the judge to consider President Trump’s campaign rhetoric as a “backdrop” to the case before sentencing. Patrick Stein was found guilty in April of weapons of mass destruction and conspiracy against civil rights charges after taking part in a three-man conspiracy to kill Muslim refugees in Kansas before the 2016 election, HuffPost reported. His attorneys, James Pratt and Michael Shultz, argued in a sentencing memo that Stein should be sentenced to 15 years in prison instead of a life sentence because of the current events at the time. “2016 was ‘lit.’ The court cannot ignore the circumstances of one of the most rhetorically mold-breaking, violent, awful, hateful and contentious presidential elections in modern history, driven in large measure by the rhetorical China shop bull who is now our president,” they wrote in the memo obtained by HuffPost. The lawyers wrote that Trump’s “rough-and-tumble verbal pummeling heightened the rhetorical stakes for people of all political persuasions” ahead of the 2016 presidential election. ** More at link: thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/413752-attorneys-for-man-convicted-of-hate-crime-point-to-trumpIf it works for this guy there will be along line to follow............. I thought that required Congressional approval, or a declaration of national emergency / security issue, or something?? I don't think barefoot children and migrant parents who are walking THOUSANDS of miles to apply for asylum qualifies-- but what do I know?
