Personally, I like a president who is not afraid of a little rain.

So after his little tweet yesterday about California’s fires he got blasted by the professionals that actually know something about fires.
I guess their criticisms caught his attention.
“With proper Forest Management, we can stop the devastation constantly going on in California. Get Smart”
Jerk.

Harry Enten ..
“Voter fraud" is too quickly becoming a synonym for "result I don't like".
Ain’t that the truth.

Didn’t trump recently say he was a nationalist?
From Kaitlan Collins...
“With President Trump seated before him, French President Macron says, "Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism. By saying 'our interests first'...we erase what a nation hold dearest...its moral values."
Poor little baby, he is really getting knocked around in Paris. And he only went hecause he wanted to see a big parade.

Sam Vinogard..
.”@vp is heading to Asia. @realdonaldtrump is not. AF1 could have flown from France to Asia. Instead, after a European holiday, @realdonaldtrump is skipping 3 key Summits in Asia and going home.”
After this trip and being publicly slammed by Macron and Trudeau I suspect trump won’t be going to many of these little get together in the future.

This is exactly what Sharia Law is. It is a “court” presided over by the religious law. The steaming pile of hypocrisy is astounding. All the religious right that screamed about Mooslims making America ruled by Sharia Law....and now we have this. SMDH!!! I literally cannot swallow anymore of this bullshit. It is now a daily basis that I say out loud that I am thankful we don’t live in the States anymore. It is not the country that I used to know and I fear she may never recover. Your right, it is not the same country. I’d like to disagree with you that it will recover but I can’t. And I’m pretty sure I probably owe you an apology. Prior to you moving I am sure I disagreed with you on the direction the country was moving, perhaps on more than one occasion. Unfortunately I had my rose colored glasses firmly in place and refused to see it but you were right. I was wrong. You were absolutely right. The bigotry was there all along just under the surface. My kids have dealt with anti semetism growing up but it was usually couched in stupidity or ignorance so one could imply that they just didn’t know better. And over the years my kids have said just that, so & so just doesn’t know better. And some of the time that might have been true. But in hindsight I can’t believe it was always because they didn’t know better. Then there’s the blanket of ‘most of society doesn’t feel that way, most of society condemns bigotry’ And you say that to yourself and you think it and you pretend it is true. But it wasn’t, isn’t, & probably never will be. Most of society is relieved that it isn’t them. Which is not the same thing as actually being against bigotry. In the last 2 years the anti semetism, racism & bigotry of all kinds has been out and proud and no longer pretending to be ignorant. And if you bring it up the Trump supporters all poo poo you because ‘his daughter is Jewish he’s not anti semitic’ Maybe, maybe not, but he definitely is an asshole playing with Fire reving up all these white supremacists who are out & about and committing acts of bigotry all over. And society as a whole is clearly relieved the target is not them. I have always tried to see the good in my fellow human, but lately I have a hard time being hopeful in anyway. So I’m sorry for any past discussions where I didn’t really hear you. You were right. I was wrong. I was clinging to what I wanted to be real rather than what was actually happening. I hope that you know that I take absolutely no comfort in your agreement with me. I greatly appreciate your words. No matter our difference of opinion, I have do value your views. I learn so much from the peas here. I really like that we are a melting pot of religions, customs and ideas. Perhaps if America can get back to that wonderful stew....she just might have a chance.

That is the King of Morocco on the other side of Melania. Believe me when I say, all kinds of tongues are wagging over here as to why he was seated so close to Trump.

papercrafteradvocate I imagine there was an underlying subtext that just went right over my head, because I don't think I understand what you are suggesting. A sexual relationship between Trump and Putin?

I hate Trump, and obvs Putin is trash, but the joking about them being lovers and making fun of them for being "gay" or something is just not okay. There's plenty of other material here to work with. Just don't.

I don’t know how it was meant, but saying that someone gets a boner isn’t always a gay slur. I know a lot of dudes who say they get “justice boners” when something comes out of the mueller investigation. And my hockey friends always used the phrase “Doaner boner” when Shane Dian did something. It’s also pretty common to see comments like “stop, I can only get so erect” on forums. Generally, it’s used to show excitement about something, not meant as a slur in any way.
Like I said, I don’t know the motivation behind the use here but I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

I hear that all the time as well, use it myself sometimes as I can be classy like that. It was the added 'meet you out back' that made me wonder, which is why I asked.

I guess I've seen enough jokes out there about a gay relationship between Trump and Putin to have made that connection between those two comments.
And, I really hate when people use being gay as a punchline.

And, I really hate when people use being gay as a punchline. Yes, I agree with that, but I don't think that's the context here. In nicer language if these were two decent men who really liked it each other, we could call it a "bromance" like Obama & ( Pence oops I meant) Biden they clearly became good friends and and in many photos they were touching and laughing together and there were all sorts of "break-up" memes when their terms ended. It was all in good fun and I'd bet even the two of them laughed at some of it...but no-one was actually suggesting a sexual relationship. The Trump/Putin thing is the same, we make jokes about their friendship but in this instance they are negative because they are both evil bastards...but again, no-one really thinks or is suggesting they are gay or there there is a sexual element. We joke about their "relationship" because we think they are both unlikeable, selfish, greedy & only value power and money. That's why Trump "gets a boner" because he sees his "true friend who has the same evil goals and that makes him happy" and "out the back" infers so they can get together and plot their world domination. It's sarcasm and "joking" because we see the two as equally bad and that's why they are so happy to see each other, but I very much doubt that anyone really equates that with any sort of homosexuality.

You meant Biden, right? I loved their relationship. My sons have the best bromance. I like it when two guys can just be comfortable with each other and not worry about what everyone else thinks.
