domestic violence seems to imply it's a family member or something, though, doesn't it? if it was just some 'random' woman (i.e., not his wife) then wouldn't it be just assault? I really want to know who brought the charges against him, if it wasn't his wife or former wife.

linkNBC News... “NEW: Exclusive: Trump admin. officials asked federal law enforcement agencies to examine legal ways of removing exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen from US in attempt to persuade Turkish Pres. Erdogan to ease pressure on Saudi gov't, four sources say.” From the article. “ To ease Turkish pressure on Saudis over killing, White House weighs expelling Erdogan foe”
There might be good reasons for trump expelling someone from this country that that by doing so would put their life in danger, but this certainly isn’t one of them. So if trump does this, the question becomes “what do the Saudis have on trump and his family?”

1. Hell has apparently frozen over, because I’m posting a link from The Daily Caller. 😂 2. The Caller must have decided they don’t like Trump any more. I can’t think of any other reason why they would post the entire transcript of this embarrassment of an interview. It’s literally painful to read. dailycaller.com/2018/11/14/transcript-trump-daily-caller-interview/Among other head-scratchers, we learn in this interview that someone won an election 70%-40%, that Trump has to ask KAC if he “knew” something or not, and that Rick Perry may still be governor of Texas (spoiler: he hasn’t been for several years now).

“Broward County election officials said they uploaded their recount results two minutes past Florida’s 3 p.m. deadline so the state is not using the results. Instead they’re using the first unofficial results that were submitted on Saturday.”
Oh well, I guess it’s an urban myth that every vote counts. Silly me I fell for that myth.

And this is why I call the Democrats the Keystone Cops..
Random comments about the stupidity playing out in the Democrats side of the House.
“If it’s not Pelosi it would be Hillary. If not Hillary then Obama. If not them then Soros. Or the UN. Or Al Gore. Whatever. They. Always. Create. A villain.”
“Pelosi didn't cost Democrats a single seat. And anyone who thinks that a Pelosi replacement wouldn't get the same right-wing-noise-machine treatment is hopelessly naive. They'll demonize any Dem, and do so in zero time flat. Letting them dictate our leaders is idiotic.”
This one
“If you give credit to Pelosi for passing the ACA, you also have to put blame on her for not getting a public option.”
Prompted this reply..
“Nope she passed a bill with a public option. Blame Joe Lieberman and Ben Nelson.”
“Pioneering progressive woman is so effective that she becomes the target of decades long character assassination from the right that is so pervasive it becomes internalized by the left. Rinse. Repeat.”
But the one tweet I can’t find is where her potential replacement is Steny Hoyer, who is a year olderthan her. Translation: Kick the effective woman out and replace her with an old white guy.
Stupidity at its best.

Yes, I hate his regulations and appointees and all, but he and that family making a profit off of this unethical behavior sends me over the edge.

Pruitt taught him well............. No not really.... but birds of a feather.......... Trump EPA official arrested on criminal ethics chargesBY TAL AXELROD - 11/15/18 07:37 PM EST An Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official in the Trump administration was arrested Thursday two days after being indicted on multiple alleged violations of Alabama ethics laws. Trey Glenn, the regional director for EPA’s southeast region, was arrested for allegedly helping an Alabama law firm fight potential EPA actions to clean up contaminated sites on behalf of Drummond Co., which could be responsible for the cleanups. Among other charges, Glenn and former Alabama Environmental Management Commissioner Scott Phillips were indicted on soliciting a thing of value from a principal, lobbyist or subordinate and receiving money in addition to that received in one’s official capacity. Acting EPA chief Andrew Wheeler declined to comment on the case Tuesday, saying he hadn't spoken with Glenn about it. "I just learned about it this afternoon. I haven’t had a chance to look into the matter or talk to him personally yet," Wheeler said at an EPA event. In a statement provided to the Associated Press by his lawyer, Glenn denied the charges. “The charges against me are totally unfounded, and will be vigorously defended,” Glenn said. “I am innocent and expect to be fully vindicated.” The Alabama Ethics Commission in 2007 also found probable cause that Glenn violated state law to obtain personal trips, including a trip to Disney World that was paid for by a public relations firm representing a client with business before the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, which he was the director of at the time. ** thehill.com/homenews/administration/417052-trump-epa-official-arrested-on-criminal-ethics-chargesAlso charges from earlier working at Alabama Dept of Environmental Management.............Another well vetted appointment!

She looks wonderful. I realised too late that she is giving a talk in London and tickets were sold very quickly. The demand was huge. My dd was disappointed that we missed out so I've ordered Michelle's book as a Christmas gift for her.

“Mick Mulvaney reportedly wants to replace Wilbur Ross as Commerce secretary.
Commerce is a pretty sleepy department. Mulvaney is one of the most ideologically ambitious Republicans in Washington.
If he wants the job, he's got something nefarious planned. What the heck is it?”
I suspect nothing good for the consumers.

She was approved for the detail days BEFORE she was heckled outside of a school!! Millions being spent on U.S. Marshals Service security detail for DeVos: report BY ARIS FOLLEY - 11/16/18 09:41 AM EST ** Devos is the only member of the Cabinet getting the protection, the report states. Although it is unclear who made the request, which could potentially cost taxpayers roughly $19.8 million through next September, NBC News reported on Friday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions granted the protection to DeVos on Feb. 13, 2017 — just days before the education secretary was heckled by a group of protesters outside a public middle school in Washington. ** The total costs for the security detail are also reportedly reimbursed by the Education Department. ** thehill.com/homenews/administration/417087-millions-being-spent-on-us-marshals-service-security-detail-for-devosShe is now the only one with a detail now that Pruitt lost his when he left! Department of Education will pay so kids are losing even more $$$ from the Federal Government!! Good move Betsy!

Jennifer Victor.
“Don’t like Pelosi, but can’t quite articulate why? Felt the same way about Hillary Clinton? Time for some deep self-reflection about gender bias and leadership.”
So folks got all hostile so she responded
“I’m genuinely amazed at how many people felt insulted by this. My comment is specifically directed at people who cannot explain their dislike. If you can, or you like them, the comment doesn’t apply to you.”
She is right. One of the easiest things in the the world to do should be to list the reasons why you don’t like someone. I don’t like trump and look, we are on part 20 of trump’s catch all thread and a large number of the posts are mine pointing out why I don’t like the man based on what he said or did. No ambiguity at all.
But yet when it comes to these two women it’s like pulling teeth. So I think she may be on to something. And if she is right, shame on us as a country.

Further, why does one even need to like them to support their decisions or value their acumen? Yes, there is a definite charm factor among many male politicians, but not all or even most. We have a history of plenty of curmudgeonly or unlikable male politicians who are nevertheless valued and voted for. For some reason, women have to be thoroughly likable. Absent likability, that murky shrill, divisive, pushy, too aggressive, socialist, She Witch, they-kick-their-dogs narrative takes root....and flourishes unexamined.

SHS has a different spin on the result: Of note - the judge didn't actually rule on the 1st amendment issue. He ordered the pass reinstated on the basis of 5th amendment due process rights. But then we all know the Trump administration is not a big fan of due process unless it applies to their court appointees.
