Deep dark depression, excessive misery...
Don't ask me why, but yesterday my DH and I were talking about "Hee Haw" and now I have this stupid song stuck in my head. I can't believe that I ever watched--and enjoyed this how. Anyone else watch it?

Roy Clark--and he's actually a really great guitarist. Buck Owens was the other guy. I am really amazed I watched it because I've never liked country music.

Buck Owens and Roy Clark!! I lived with my grandmother growing up...she never missed an episode of Hee Haw, so I watched it by default or went to my room!! I think that's where I mainly watched it was with my grandmother, who loved it. But I do have memories of watching it at my own house. I suppose the "skits" were funny if you were a kid. TV was definitely a lot more "innocent" then. I also watched the Lawrence Welk show with my grandmother and sometimes she'd make me polka around the living room. |

I despise country music and I watched it too. I think I know why chlerbie. Unlike today back then there were only about 5 channels, remember? It wasn't like we had that much choice. Probably there wasn't much else to choose from. Plus like giantsfan said it was funny. I can't remember the stupid song so don't remind me.  I don't want to have it running through my head and I tend to have a problem with that. The other night I was watching an older Grey's Anatomy episode from season 5 (this was about 4 days ago) and last night it popped up again in my head. When this happens after an episode songs can last for hours in my head even if I don't know them. Maybe it's like that for everyone? |

If I remember correctly it was on in the early evenings before prime time and there really wasn't anything else on. |

My stepfather always watched it. I remember it well.
When I was married, NSDX insisted on watching country music reunion type shows that had some of the same people.

Love Country music and loved watching this show with my family. Went to Nashville about 3 years ago and did the tours and proudly I was the one in the group who could answer the questions about current and past Country stars.

Saturday nights up north by my grandma and grandpa, watching Hee Haw and Lawrence Welk, having a popcorn party in our pajamas. Sweet, wonderful memories!
