We have this habit of having one pie per person, it is crazy but it seems normal to us. I made two pineapple fluff pies, there will be at least Apple, pecan pumpkin and tiramisu.

Pumpkin pie and chocolate pie. There's only 4 of us, but I'm bringing 2 pumpkin pies to another function. However, the way the filling worked up for both pumpkin and chocolate, I'm ending up with 5 pumpkin pies (of which we'll keep 3) and 3 chocolate pies. 1.5 pies per person...
I had to make the chocolate pie because I don't like pumpkin pie (although I'm OK with my recipe) and my bday is the day after Thanksgiving, but no one around here will actually think to make or get a different dessert. They're awesome in many ways, but not so much that one.

I made a Polish Coffee Cake (my favorite), Fudgy Pecan Pie, Coconut Custard Pie and an Apple Pie. Of course we also have Carvel Vanilla & Chocolate Ice Cream and Whip Cream.
Can’t wait for tomorrow !

Gooey butter cake, pumpkin pie and sugar cream pie. We will probably have 3 or 4 other desserts make their way in too!

Dessert at dh's cousins is an incredible array of delicious treats. There is a margarita cake, pumpkin and apple pie, an assortment of cookies, pecan tassies, sometimes cupcakes, and more cookies. One of the cousins bakes some very interesting cookies like lemon rosemary. She also does the old standards like salted caramel brownies, chocolate chip, etc. I don't bring dessert. Instead I bring breakfast breads or cakes.

Sugar cream pie and probably an oatmeal pie. Plus some Christmas Crack. I never want to wait for Christmas to make it. 4 out of 5 of us don't like pumpkin pie. Or anything with pumpkin other than muffins. gale w....I’ve never heard of sugar cream pie ; it sounds yummy & I’m intrigued! Also....I’d love to know what goes into your Christmas Crack! 😀. My sister is famous for hers, and I’m curious if your recipes are similar. scrapmaven.... WOW! I’m drooling !!! love that your family makes such unique, different desserts!

Here are the recipes: Sugar Cream Pie
1 unbaked pie crust 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar dash of salt 2 cups heavy cream nutmeg (freshly grated if possible)
Preheat oven to 400° F. In a small bowl combine flour, sugars and salt. Slowly stir in heavy cream and whisk well. Pour into the pie crust and sprinkle liberally with nutmeg. Bake at 400° F for 15 minutes, then lower heat to 350° and continue to bake for 20-25 minutes. I have an electric oven and I do it at 400 for 15, then lower the heat while the pie is still in there and set the timer to 20 minutes. I also put a pie crust shield thing on it. I leave it on for the entire time.
Christmas Crack (pc name is toffee crunch bars or something like that) Enough Club crackers to cover the bottom of a 10x15 inch cookie sheet. I think most people use saltines but one time I only had club crackers on hand and I've just been using them ever since. 1 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 2 cups (12 oz) semi sweet chocolate chips nuts if you use them. We don't. I'm not sure how much.
Preheat oven to 400°. Line a cookie sheet with foil and arrange the crackers on the foil in a single layer. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Allow to boil for 3 minutes. Pour the hot mixture over the crackers, spreading to cover them. Put the pan in the oven for 5 minutes. During baking the crackers will probably float and move about so after taking them out of the oven I just use a fork to quickly rearrange them back to the right positions. Sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then use a frosting spatula or a butter knife to spread the melted chocolate evenly over the top. If you use nuts, sprinkle them on now. My daughter has allergies so I tried it with sunflower seeds once but everyone liked it better plain. Let them sit until set up, then break them into pieces.

btw if you make sure that pie crust has lots of lard it'll turn out to be the most unhealthy pie on the planet. Even without the lard it might be...
